Schluter. The Illustrated Price List, which you hold in your hands,
features new and improved products that reflect that tradition.
A perfect example is Schluter®-SCHIENE, which became the
foundation of Schluter’s success in 1975. In our tradition of
innovation, the simple right-angle profile has since evolved to
include an integrated joint spacer. Often, small details result in
large advantages for the installer. In this case, the integrated joint
spacer makes tile setting easier and cleaner. Gradually, all of our
products will be equipped with this feature.

FINISHING, EDGE-PROTECTION, & TRANSITION PROFILES FOR FLOORS
Because ceramic and stone tiles are inherently brittle, their exposed edges can chip and
crack if left unprotected. Transitions between floor surfaces and at thresholds are
particularly vulnerable to damage. Schluter®-Systems offers a variety of profiles to
provide edge protection and transitioning at thresholds and between adjacent surfaces,
resulting in durable, maintenance-free tiled coverings.
Schluter® profiles are available in a variety of shapes, sizes, materials, and finishes.

Schluter®-SCHIENE
Schluter®-SCHIENE is designed to provide
edging for tile coverings. Typical applications
include edge protection where tile is bordered
by carpet, at expansion joints, or as a decorative edging for stairs. SCHIENE in aluminum,
anodized aluminum, and brass features an
integrated joint spacer that establishes a defined
joint cavity between the tile and the profile.
Note: Also available in stainless steel 316L

Schluter®-SCHIENE-RADIUS is an extruded
profile, with special perforations, for finishing and
protecting the edges of curved tile coverings.
SCHIENE-RADIUS provides edge protection
while enhancing the aesthetic appearance of a
curved design, including curved tile-to-tile transitions and curved outside wall corners, as well as
curved designs in other surface coverings. Other
sizes are available upon request.

Schluter®-RENO-T is designed to provide
transitions between existing, same-height, hard
surface floor coverings, primarily in retrofit
applications (e.g., ceramic tile or natural stone,
parquet flooring, concrete pavers, laminate, etc.).
RENO-T, in brass and anodized aluminum size
9/14, is flexible in the lateral direction and can be
used in curved applications.

Schluter®-RENO-TK is designed to protect tile
edges and provide a smooth transition from tile
coverings to floor coverings at lower elevations,
typically carpet. The 1/4" (6 mm) channel
beneath the sloped flange of the profile hides and

Schluter®-QUADEC
Schluter®-QUADEC is a finishing and edgeprotection profile for tiled edges and outside
corners of tiled surfaces. The reveal of the
profile forms a square outer corner along the
surface edge. QUADEC can also be used as an
accent within tile fields on both floors and walls.
QUADEC allows for modern decorative design
and interesting contrasts. The profile can be
combined with the Schluter®-QUADEC-FS
(page 33) feature strip profile and/or the
Schluter®-DESIGNLINE border profile for further
design options (page 38). QUADEC, in stainless
steel, can also be used as a stair nosing or
floor transition profile. QUADEC in anodized aluminum features an integrated joint spacer that

Schluter®-ECK-K
Schluter®-ECK-K is a stainless steel edging
profile for outside corners of tiled walls that offers
excellent edge protection against mechanical
stresses in commercial/industrial applications. The
profile produces a radiused edge along the outside
wall corner for a clean, decorative finish. ECK-K
is subsequently bonded to the outside corners of
existing installations. As such, ECK-K can be
installed as a repair so that existing, damaged
corners do not have to be replaced.
Note: ECK-K is also available in stainless steel
316L (1.4404 = V4A). Contact Customer Service for price and availability.

Schluter®-Profiles
Tiled stairs edges that do not utilize appropriate trim pieces are vulnerable to chipping

visible, slip-resistant wear surface for durable,

The profiles are made of PVC and are intended
for residential use or use in areas with similar
traffic. TREP-T has a consistent, uniform color at

Schluter®-Profiles
MOVEMENT JOINT AND COVE-SHAPED PROFILES
An installed ceramic tile floor is rigid by nature and similar in physical characteristics to a
large sheet of glass. This is particularly true with today's large-format tiles and narrow joint
design. Stress buildup occurs within large surfaces and at perimeters, causing cracking
and loosening of the tile covering. In addition, caulking is often used to create a movement zone. Unfortunately, caulking material has a limited lifespan and eventually breaks
down, leaving the tiled edges exposed and vulnerable to damage.
Expansion joints must be incorporated within large surfaces, at doorsills, and at transitions
to walls and other restraining structures to allow movement and thus reduce stress
buildup. Schluter®-Systems' prefabricated movement joint profiles eliminate the need for
caulking, protect tile edges, and prevent sound bridges and surface water penetration,
resulting in a permanent, maintenance-free installation. The family of Schluter®-DILEX
prefabricated movement joints includes a variety of shapes, sizes, and materials to suit
different applications.

Ceramic and stone tiles offer a number of functional and aesthetic advantages over other
floor-covering materials, and yet concerns about cracking, coldness, and sound transmission remain. The BEKOTEC flooring assembly addresses these concerns.
Schluter®-BEKOTEC is a modular screed system that produces permanent flooring
assemblies that are free from internal stresses. The BEKOTEC system is based on a
studded polystyrene screed panel. The studs confine curing stresses to small modules,
which eliminates curling and allows the installation of continuous screed surfaces without
any wire reinforcement or control joints. BEKOTEC is ideal for hydronic radiant heating
applications, as it provides thermal insulation, allows for hydronic radiant tube application
without fasteners, and reduces thermal mass to produce a responsive system that can
operate at a low temperature range. The BEKOTEC system can also be used in
conjunction with common sound insulation materials to produce a flooring system with
excellent sound attenuation properties.

Schluter®-BEKOTEC/BEKOTEC-F are lightweight modular screed systems that are used to

WATERPROOFING, UNCOUPLING, AND DRAINAGE MEMBRANES
Today's construction methods, which include the use of lightweight materials such as
wood and gypsum, have made the installation of hard surface coverings particularly
challenging. The substrate, whether it is plywood, OSB, concrete, or gypsum concrete,
expands and contracts, according to its unique material properties, due to changes in
moisture and temperature. Likewise, ceramic and stone tiles expand and contract,
according to their unique material properties, due to changes in moisture and temperature. Because of the differences in material properties of these two layers, the substrate
and the tile layer expand and contract at different rates, creating stresses in the assembly that can ultimately result in damage to the finished tile surface.
Schluter®-Systems has developed state-of-the-art installation systems that address the
problems associated with today's fast, lightweight construction methods, allowing the
installation of ceramic and stone tiles on virtually any interior or exterior surface.

Schluter®-DITRA/DITRA-XL
Schluter®-DITRA/DITRA-XL are polyethylene
uncoupling membranes with a grid structure of
square cutback cavities and an anchoring fleece
laminated to the underside. DITRA and DITRAXL provide uncoupling through the open rib structure, which allows for in-plane movement that
effectively neutralizes the differential movement
stresses between the substrate and the tile, thus
eliminating the major cause of cracking and delaminating of the tiled surface. In conjunction with
tile coverings, DITRA and DITRA-XL form an uncoupling, waterproofing, and vapor management
layer, while providing support/load distribution.
The combination of these four essential functions
allows for the successful installation of tile over a
wide range of substrates, including plywood/OSB,
concrete, gypsum, heated floors, etc.
Schluter®-DITRA is 1/8" (3 mm) thick, which
minimizes tile assembly thickness and reduces
transitions to lower surface coverings (e.g.,
carpet, engineered wood, and vinyl). DITRA allows for ceramic tile application over single-layer
plywood or OSB subfloors on joists spaced up to
19.2" (488 mm) o.c. DITRA is listed by cUPC®.

SHOWER SYSTEM
Tiled showers have always represented a considerable challenge for installers.
The integrity of the tiled surface relies upon a system of water management to protect the
sub-shower assembly from moisture penetration. Since conventional shower pan liners are
placed below the mortar setting bed, moisture is allowed to saturate the mortar bed, increasing the risk of leakage and efflorescence and fostering bacteria and fungus growth.
Schluter®-Systems provides an integrated family of products in which the individual components collectively form a bonded watertight assembly. The Schluter®-Shower System
eliminates the risk of failures due to both vapor and water penetration, is maintenance-free,
and dramatically reduces total installation time.

Schluter®-KERDI-DRAIN
Schluter®-KERDI-DRAIN is a floor drain with
an integrated bonding flange that provides a
large contact area for a secure connection to
the Schluter®-KERDI waterproofing membrane,
as well as other bonded waterproof membranes,
at the top of the assembly. KERDI-DRAIN is
appropriate for both mortar bed and Schluter®KERDI-SHOWER-ST shower tray applications.
The bonding flange is sloped to simplify mortar
bed installation. KERDI-DRAIN features a fully
adjustable grate (available in stainless steel and
anodized aluminum in various finishes) that
accommodates a wide range of tile thicknesses:
6 mm (1/4") to 32 mm (1-1/4"). The grate assembly allows lateral and tilt adjustment as well. Please
reference the table on page 78 for drain assemblies that have listings with UPC®, CSA, and NSF.

CONDITIONS OF SALE
All prior conditions of sale shall be deemed to be modified as hereinafter
stated and the following conditions shall be deemed to supersede and
control disputes or claims to goods.
1. Prices and Quotations
The prices shown in the Price Catalogue exclude installation, delivery,
and any federal, state or city tax now or hereafter applicable to sale of
products of Schluter Systems (Canada) Inc.(Schluter) illustrated in this
Price Catalogue.
Prices quoted in this Price Catalogue apply to orders made thereunder and
with respect to the products therein described. Prices set out in this Price
Catalogue are subject to change without prior notice. Prices include freight
charges within Canada, save and except for purchase orders under $1,000
gross, to which a $38 additional charge shall be added thereto.
For air express handling (within Canada):
- Please allow 2-3 days for delivery
- $90 is added to orders under $250 gross,
- $105 is added to orders of $250 - $500 gross,
- the actual freight charge plus an additional charge of $5 per
package is added to orders over $500 gross.
5. Claims
Any claim for damage, short shipment, misdelivery or defects of the products must be specified in writing on the delivery slip and brought to the attention of Schluter at the time of delivery. If no claim is made by the Buyer
at the time of receipt of the products, then the right to make such claim or
the right to reject any or all of the products shall be waived by the Buyer.
At its option, Schluter will either replace such products that are proven defective or allow credit for them.
6. Installation
Schluter shall in no way be responsible for any claims resulting from the installation or finishing of the products.
7. Liability
Schluter is not liable and/or responsible towards any third party and/or
Buyer, as the case may be, for any damage and/or loss of any nature or
kind howsoever arising, resulting directly or indirectly from the use of the
products in a manner not in conformity with the instructions accompanying same and in effect with respect thereto and/or resulting from the products being improperly used for which the products were not intended. Prior
to any use of products, the user and/or Buyer has the prior obligation to
verify the suitability of the products for their intended use and the Buyer
shall assume all risks and responsibility with respect thereto.
For air express handling from the USA, cost is actual freight charge.
Freight charges including air express handling charges are subject to
change without prior notice.
2. Ownership of the Property
Ownership of the products shall remain and vest with Schluter until full payment has been received with respect thereto.
3. Delivery
If Schluter is prevented from carrying out the provisions hereof by reason
of any acts of God, war, revolution, strike, riot, earthquake, delay by carrier, fuel shortage, embargo, lockout or other labour disturbance, the operations of statute of law, interference of civil or military authority or any
other event beyond its control, interfering with the production or delivery of
the products as herein contemplated, Schluter shall be exonerated from
and shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from any of the foregoing and shall be further excused from making deliveries to the extent of
such interference and shall have, in addition to the foregoing and without
prejudice thereto, the absolute right to cancel any purchase orders with
respect to any of the products therein described or with respect to any
part thereof without any liability of any nature whatsoever attaching to itself
other than the obligation to reimburse and return any payments of monies
made in advance for the products which shall not be delivered for the reasons hereinabove set forth. Any delivery not in dispute shall be paid for regardless of any other existing disputes between Schluter and the Buyer
relating to other delivered or undelivered products.
3rd party shipping (drop shipping):
- Orders to a third party will only be accepted to approved locations.
4. Inspection and Sample
The Buyer shall have the right to inspect the products upon delivery of
same. Failure by the Buyer to inspect the said products and specify in writing to Schluter any defective products shall constitute on the Buyer's part
an absolute and unconditional waiver of the Buyer's right to reject the products and shall be deemed an acceptance by the Buyer of the products as
to quality and/or quantity of same. Any samples of the products shown to
the Buyer prior to placement of any order with Schluter are for the sole
purpose and intent of exhibiting to the Buyer the type of products which
may be the subject matter of an order by the Buyer. Such samples create
no warranty on the part of Schluter, implied or otherwise, that the said
products ultimately forming the subject matter of an order placed by the
Buyer necessarily shall conform with the samples referred to above.

Schluter's responsibility and liability with respect to defective products
and/or work attaching thereto shall be confined solely to the replacement
and/or repair of same. In addition to the foregoing, Schluter shall alternatively have the right to reimburse the Buyer the purchase price paid with respect thereto rather than to replace and/or repair the defective products.
8. Terms of payment
Terms of payment: NET 30 days from the invoice date. For C.O.D. orders,
a charge of $6.25 per package will be added. All past due invoices are
subject to a 1.5% service charge per month (18% per year). Upon failure
by the Buyer to pay for the products, the Buyer shall be obliged to pay all
costs of collection incurred by Schluter including, without limitation,
collection agency fees, statutory costs, disbursements, legal fees in an
amount not in excess of but equal to 25% of the unpaid balance of the
purchase price at the time of the referral of same by Schluter to a collection agency, attorney, etc.
9. Returns
Schluter shall not accept any returns unless it authorizes same in writing.
In any event, Schluter under no circumstances shall accept any returned
products 30 days from the invoice date of same. All products returned
must be in perfect condition and are subject to inspection by Schluter prior
to acceptance of same. Any returns which have not been authorized by
Schluter in advance may be refused; howerver, if Schluter accepts the return, a handling charge of 25% will be charged. No returns will be accepted
or allowed on any special orders.
10. Acceptance
Installation and/or use of the products by the Buyer shall constitute an irrevocable acceptance of the products. Failure to reject the products in the
manner and within the time period stipulated in paragraphs 4 and 5 hereof
shall be deemed to constitute an acceptance of the products.
11. Cancellation
Orders are not subject to cancellation or deferment of shipment unless
Schluter is indemnified against the loss resulting therefrom. Schluter shall
not be responsible for delays or non performance caused by strikes, fires
or other causes beyond its control, as the whole is stipulated in paragraph
3 hereof. Orders entered on Schluter's order book cannot be cancelled or
changed without Schluter's prior written consent and then only on the
terms which will indemnify Schluter against all loss. Orders issued a tracking number are considered shipped, and cancellation will incur a 25% restocking fee. At no time shall Schluter accept the cancellation and/or
change of a special order.
CONDITIONS OF SALE
12. Special Orders
The Buyer will defend, at its own expense, any suit which may be brought
against Schluter by reason of the manufacture or sale of special products
made to the Buyer's specifications, including any third party proceedings.
13. Modifications of Conditions
No modifications of the conditions can be made without the prior written
authorization from a representative of Schluter.
MANUFACTURING
The majority of Schluter products sold in North America are also produced here. In addition, products produced in North America are shipped
overseas for worldwide distribution. International cooperation in product development and support of the local economies are vital elements of our
core strategy.
