DAY 10 Wednesday 10 Sept 2014 Como – Circolo Golf Villa D’Este Today we play Villa D’Este, which lies in the Como hills and is ‘a jewel in the Italian golfing crown’. DAY 16 Tuesday 16 Sept 2014 Venice – Circolo di Golf Venezia It is not every day that you get to take a boat to play golf but that’s exactly what we’re doing today. The golf course on Venice Lido was built in 1928 after a conversation between Henry Ford and Count Giuseppe Volpi di Misurata. Built around an Austrian 17th-century fort, the ramparts built to keep out pirates from the East, provides an excellent teeing area where you can explode your ball off the first tee. The course winds its way around mature cyprus trees and water hazards. The lunch (optional) in the clubhouse afterwards is a fitting end to our grand Italian golfing adventure.
