For Categories, select “Azusa Pacific Unversity” b. For School, select “School of Education” c. For Department, select the department you are in. NOTE: ¾ “Curriculum and Instruction in Multicultural Context (CIMC / C&I)” and the ¾ “Masters in Education: Teaching” are in the Advanced Studies Department. If you have not completed your K-12 teaching credential yet, please select “Graduate Teacher Education” for your Department. If you have already completed your K-12 teaching credential, and are pursuing your Masters in Education for Teaching, please select “Advanced Studies” for your Department. All students in the Curriculum and Instruction in Multicultural Context program should select “Advanced Studies” for their Department. d. For Group, select “Student” e. Depending on what you selected, you may be prompted for the Program you are in. NOTE: Not all departments will have a “Programs” option. Login to TaskStream at: http://www.taskstream.com 2. If in “Basic Mode”, click on My Programs (in the left column). 3. You will see <Your Program(s)> listed. This example uses the CIMC program and assignments. 4. To the right of the desired program, Click on Work on DRF Written by Timothy Hahs Brinkley [email protected] Last updated Nov. 17, 2007 (DRF = Directed Response Folio). 5. Click on the Edit Content tab (tab #3). Below Home, you will see a list of classes, or assignments to which you need to submit your work. Under each of these classes or tasks are specific assignments to complete. 6. Clicking on one of the assignment (preceded by a bullet like this ), will display the instructions page with Add/Edit Work button for that item. 7. Click on the Add/Edit Work button. This opens the Content Editor from which you may add work for the assignment you have selected. In this example, the Educ508 Rubric Proj. is selected as an example. 8. The Directions tab shows the directions, the standards, and the rubric by which you will be graded. The Text tab allows you to type in text, the Image tab allows you to insert a single image or clipart selection, the Standards tab allows you to attach additional standards. The Attachments tab will be discussed in more detail next. The Video tab allows you to upload a video in various compressed formats. The Web Links tab allows you to attach related websites. 9. Click on the Attachments tab. Under it there are several sub-tabs. The one selected is New File. 10. To add a new file, type in its name, then click Browse, then locate the file in the window that pops up and click OK. Finally click the Add File button and it will show up at the bottom of this screen after it is done uploading. 11. To upload a Rubric or Lesson Plan created in TaskStream, select My TaskStream Work. 1. Select category, 2. Select an item in that category. In this example, the rubric category was selected so it is showing me a list of the rubrics I have already created. 12. After selecting an item from number 2., click the Add File button. 13. When you have finished uploading all your work for this assignment, you may close the window and submit it for evaluation. 14. To do this, click on tab #5 entitled Evaluation. Login to TaskStream at: http://www.taskstream.com 2. If in classic mode, click on My Programs (in the left column). 3. You will see <Your Program(s)> listed. (This example uses the CIMC program and its assignments.) 4. Click on the “Submission & Evaluation” tab. 6. If you have submitted work and it has been evaluated, you will see the score and may view the History/Comments or Report. 7. If your work has been submitted, but not evaluated, it will show as submitted. NOTE: You may still Cancel it and resubmit other work instead, if you would like. 8. If you would like to submit a piece of work, simply press the Submit button. 9. This will cause a window to pop up asking to whom your work should be submitted. Select the instructor for your class at that time and press Submit again. 10. If you would like to add a comment to the instructor/evaluator, you may do so in the following section and press Send Comment. Otherwise press Close Window. 11. Congratulations, you have submitted your work! 12. You may accidentally submit your work before realizing there were two or more attachments that you needed to submit. Your may CANCEL your submission, if your instructor has not looked at it yet, simply clicking the “[Cancel]” link. You may then go back to the “Edit Content” tab, upload your other work, and then come back to the “Submission and Evaluation” tab to resubmit. 13. It provides educators and students with tools to support classroom teaching. It enables an instructor to easily supplement traditional classes with online communication tools and academic content. Your instructor may have an eCompanion ready to use with a course for which you are registered. S/he will inform you if one is prepared and ready to assist your learning in the face-to-face class. When you enter the eCompanion it is recommended you begin with the short “Orientation Session” if you are unfamiliar with the use of the support system. The following is directions that will help you get into an eCompanion site and begin to use this tool to enrich your classroom experience. Student Enrollment: An eSupport class has been set up for this face-to-face class. You will need to follow the directions below to have access into this part of your class. 1. Go to the website http://online.apu.edu 2. Click the "Login" button on the left side of the screen. 3. You will enter your Student ID number in the XXX-XX-XXXX format. Please note: the university does not use SSN any longer for Student ID numbers. 4. FIRST TIME USERS: Your password is your first name, first letter capitalized. IF YOU’VE BEEN TO ONLINE.APU.EDU BEFORE: Your password is the same as it was during your last online or eSupport class. 5. Click Go to Class. 6. Click on the tab at the top of the page “User Profile” and update your email address and password. If the system does not recognize your username and password, 1. Go to the website http://online.apu.edu 2. Click "Apply/Enroll" 3. Click on the link to get into an “APUeSupport Course” 4. Select the level of the course in which you wish to enroll (Undergrad, Grad, ADP). 5. Fill in the requested information. When asked for a Student Number use your Student ID number which is in the XXX-XX-XXXX format. All students are given a number which is on all correspondence from the university. You should not use your Social Security number. 6. Select the term which your course is offered in, and click “Continue.” 7. You can now select the course that you are taking to access its online site. 8. If the system says this login is not unique please follow the directions at the top of this sheet carefully once more, if still not working contact Andrew Jittu at [email protected] or 626-815-5038. Login with your student ID and password 2. Click on the "Add/Drop" tab at the top of the page 3. Select which level class (Undergrad, Grad) you are taking 4. Select the term you are currently in (ie: eCompanion Grad Spring 1) 5. Select to "Add" a course (clicking on drop will not drop you from the registrar's, you have to drop all classes officially through them) 6. Select the course you wish to add and click continue 7. Click back on "Enrolled Courses" when finished and you'll see your course.
