eCompanion is a state of the art, robust, Internet-based tool to enhance face-to-face classroom
instruction. It provides educators and students with tools to support classroom teaching. It
enables an instructor to easily supplement traditional classes with online communication tools
and academic content. Your instructor may have an eCompanion ready to use with a course for
which you are registered. S/he will inform you if one is prepared and ready to assist your
learning in the face-to-face class. When you enter the eCompanion it is recommended you
begin with the short “Orientation Session” if you are unfamiliar with the use of the support
system. The following is directions that will help you get into an eCompanion site and begin
to use this tool to enrich your classroom experience.
