Deviations from the Faith:
We said that God predicted it.
We said it would be savage.
We said it was from Satan.
We said it would not end until
the Lord Himself returns.

We even listed the
literally hundreds of
men and some women
who over time have
either claimed to be
the Messiah or to be
a new Messiah for the
present age.

God has given us
HIS TRUTH – so that
we would know these
things, and NOT be
mislead by the false
teachings and traditions
of men.


[Remind the people that] …Everything
created by God is good, and nothing is to
be rejected if it is received with gratitude;
5 for it is sanctified by means of the word
of God and prayer.
Marriage/ Foods/ etc. “…To be enjoyed”
(1 Tim. 6:17)

In pointing out these things to the
Brethren, you will be a good servant of
Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on
THE Words of THE FAITH and of
THE Sound Doctrine which you have
been following.”

The greatest danger to the faith and
work of the church is NOT persecution
from without.


It is the weakness from within.
It is our ignorance and our vulnerability to
the insidious and subversive sneak attack
of the Evil one by means of
his often benign looking
and sounding servants—

Some of which may not even know that
they are his servants.

Coffman says the APOSTASY of 2 Thes. 2:3 is
the same as the DEPARTURE here in 1 Tim. 4.
He says that both words mean to “abandon, to
rebel, to desert.” It is also translated to
FORSAKE in Acts 21:21, and to “fall away
from” in Heb. 3:12.
Peter's conflict with Simon Magus
by Avanzino Nucci, (1620).
Simon is on the right, in black.

While “faith” (IE. believe, trust) can be
a verb, (Paul uses the verb form 56 times)
– Paul also used the noun form over 174
times to describe a Permanent Truth
from God.
That’s what we have HERE.
All Scripture
is inspired…
