COMMITMENT TO QUALITY & EXCELLENCE
At the Bureau County Metro Center/Princeton Park District we are constantly
striving to provide you with quality recreational activities and programs.
• Registrations are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
• Registration fees must be paid at time of registration.
• BCMC/PPD reserves the right to cancel, postpone, combine classes, or
change instructors.
• Some programs will have age restrictions noted. If participant is a minor,
a parent or guardian must sign the waiver.
• If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with a class or activity,
please tell us so we can respond. If you have a concern, please contact
the Executive Director. Your complete satisfaction is valued, and we
will work with you to resolve your concerns and provide complete
satisfaction.
• Requests for compensation for relinquishing a membership or program
are to be addressed with the Executive Director. This may be done on a
pro-rated basis. Upon authorization by the Director, board approval will
take place on the third Monday of the month.
MISSION STATEMENT
It shall be the mission of the Princeton Park District to maintain and develop
a creative, effective and responsive park, recreation, and nature resource
system that provides quality leisure opportunities for the benefit of its present
and future citizens; contributes to the mental and physical well-being of
individuals and families; enhances the aesthetics of our neighborhoods;
protects social and economic health in our community.
Park Board Meetings
The Princeton Park District Board Meetings are held on the first and
third Monday of each month beginning at 4:30pm. Meetings are held at
the Bureau County Metro Center. The public is encouraged to attend.
Inclement Weather
Announcements
Our programs may be cancelled during inclement weather. All
cancellations and closings will be announced on WZOE 1490am
radio in Princeton, www.princetonparkdistrict.org, Facebook, or sign
up for BCRalerts.
ADA COMPLIANCE
At the Bureau County Metro Center/Princeton Park District, in
compliance with the American’s with Disabilities Act, request that
persons with disabilities who require certain accommodations to
allow them to observe and/or participate in Park Board meetings,
programs, or events or have questions about the accessibility of a
meeting or facility, contact the BCMC or call (815) 872-0840 to allow
the Princeton Park District to make reasonable accommodations for
those persons.
Member /Resident/Non-Resident
Program Fee Structure
Many non-park district residents or non-members use local recreation services but
make no tax or membership contribution to help support the operations. Therefore,
it is not equitable for these participants to enjoy the parks, facilities, or services that
residents and members are either taxed on or pay a membership fee to maintain
and operate. Thus higher registration fees are necessary to supplement and help
maintain the parks and facilities as well as provide for staffing.
Member- Anyone that has a valid membership with the BCMC.
Resident- Anyone within the geographic boundaries of the Princeton Park
District.
Non-Resident- Anyone living outside of the Princeton Park District taxing
district.
In our publications you will see that most of our programs and classes will list
three prices. The first being BCMC member fee, the second being the non-member
resident fee and the third being the non-member non-resident fee.
Proof of residency within the Princeton Park District boundaries may be requested.

BUREAU COUNTY METRO
CENTER MEMORIALS
LIVING TREE MEMORIAL
Looking for a great way to honor a very special
person, remember a notable event, or recognize
an outstanding organization? The Princeton
Park District is proud to offer the Living Tree
Memorial Program. Through this program, you
can remember a person, event or organization by
having a tree planted in their name. With your
monetary contribution, a tree will be planted in
one of our parks. In addition, the name of the
person, event or organization and the year will
be displayed on a plaque in the Bureau County
Metro Center. This program will also benefit
the community as a whole, and the tree can be
enjoyed for years to come. To get a Living Tree
Memorial, a $25 donation towards a tree fund
and a $500 to $600 donation towards the purchase
of the tree is needed. Price varies according to
the size and type of tree desired.
Contact the Bureau County Metro Center

Fun Work & Hard Play! This type of a workout engages the entire
body by going from one exercise to another. This nontraditional class is
individualistic, allowing participants to challenge themselves as much as
they want, and requires little equipment. Participants will also have the
opportunity to compete against one another in teams. But, unlike high
school gym class, no one gets picked last, and the friendly competition
serves to encourage rather than discourage. Boot camp consists of
resistance training and cardiovascular exercise such as running (short
distances), push-ups, sprints, lunges, team-building events, jumping
jacks, jumping rope, kickboxing, Yoga, mat work, stability ball training,
stretching, cone drills, obstacle courses, and whatever else it takes to
distract you from the fact that you’re getting a great workout! Every day
will be a completely different workout * never predictable * never, ever
boring and always an adventure!
