“Youths constitute a large proportion of Nigeria’s population but despite their critical role in nation
building, it is often observed that the country has not invested seriously in youths, thereby making
them an army involved in unprofitable activities” (The Punch, pg. 32, May 6, 2013)
We, Applied People (UK) Ltd now invite you to consider applying your mandate in
order to assist us take advantage of opportunities that create jobs and add real value to
Youth and Women capacity development.
Youth and Women entrepreneurial programs are in its growth stage; with your
support, we can deliver sustainable programs that build capacity, create ACTUAL
income, develop entrepreneurial capacity and provide mentoring support.
It is a Win-Win-Win proposition: Training-Job/Business-Support
Each training event will last for 2 weeks and can deliver:







2,400 trainees (potential entrepreneurial customers) per year.
Instant opportunities – All graduating trainees are offered Zero-interest credit
line of N75k to start and run guaranteed approved business post training
Stand Alone business – Airtime vending, Utility payment, Mobile money agent
Guaranteed Income post Training - On target income of N26k per month
Sustainable payback period – 15 months (or sooner) @ N5k/month
Great Headline CSR Initiative – Training offers real value, actual income
opportunity; alleviates poverty and potential long term business customers.
Branded business Start-Up kit (branded in sponsor’s name) - containing useful
financial documents e.g. cash forecasts; statements; sample business plans etc.
This program serves as a template model for foreign direct investment aid scheme
Project Cost: N5.3m. Assume 100 attendees per training sessions lasting 10 weekdays.
Your required contribution covers:




Sponsor Branded training materials - N5500 per trainee
Facilitators fees – N2,500,000 (or N25,000/ trainees subject to minimum fees)
Venue – N1,000,000
Catering/Refreshment – N1,250,000
Seed Capital fund to be set aside for graduating trainees: N7.5m (Note: This amount
is good headline commitment and it is repayable but guarantees project sustainability).
