Mazen El Zein
Founder of The Crystal Group, Mazen established and managed
a Private Equity Fund specialized in hospitality growth
supporting Circle Management Group (CMG) development
and financing its projects. CMG was a hospitality group,
dedicated to the development and management of restaurants,
bars and clubs in the Middle East.
Previous to this Mazen was part of the Investment team of
with the Credit Lyonnais Group, Societe Generale Group &
Credit Suisse Group for over 8 years. He graduated from the
Institute of Political Studies of Paris, France and holds a
Masters in Finance & Banking from ‘ASSAS University’ ParisFrance.
Mazen today still remains the hands-on leader of The Crystal
Group and thrives on the challenge of continually growing and

From the start we have always had a strong and clear vision for The Crystal Group. From our foundation, Beirut has always

Jad Matta
Graduate of Hotel Management from the American University of
Science & Technology, all through the way, Jad was the Director of
Sales for the KUPCO Group and the Business Development
Manager for the Texas Chicken both in Kuwait as well as a
Manager of Balthus (French Brasserie) and Yabani (Japanese
Restaurant) in Beirut, Lebanon. Now, a key asset to The Crystal Group, as a Managing Partner, he is
dedicated to employing the best ambassadors and the right tools
to ensure the best service, operation and experience to keep up
with the guests and markets’ change that is evident.
Managing Director
Samir Kerchiched
Samir has gained 25 years of leisure industry experience
worldwide in the restaurant and
hospitality industry with a proven track record in operations
and business development.
His primary skills are focused on finance, negotiation in
franchise and joint venture, with a
special emphasis on managing F&B projects from inception
Samir started out in the hotel business at George V and the
Royal Monceau in Paris
before moving on to restaurants and bars. He has spent most
of his career opening and
managing several of the world’s major venue concepts such as
Momo, Sketch and Club
Gascon in London; Nobu and Barrio Latino (part of Buddha
Bar group) in Paris, Almaz by
Momo in Dubai, Momo at the Souks in Beirut and lately Ignite
Group with the opnening
of W Hotel London and Boujis Hong Kong.

Patrice Gouty
Patrice joins The Crystal Group as Area Operations Manager
based in Dubai. With extensive experience in hospitality
spanning across cities such as Paris, Germany, London and
Miami Patrice brings key elements to the group that continues
to grow to an ultimately global scale.
Patrice has strong experience in operational set-up,
implementation of gold standard service and continually raising
the bar of industry standard having been an asset in hotels,
restaurants and clubs around the world such as Raffles in
London, Sanctuary Hotel and Delano Hotel both in South
beach, China White in London, and the Hilton in Munchen,
Germany Patrice has vast experience that bring true value to

Mijana is a traditional Lebanese restaurants in Beirut, set in a beautifully restored

Mission de Vie is an association that takes care of the homeless from kids to elderly. They currently house in their center
20 kids, 19 teens and 30 seniors. They depend on sponsors and the generosity of donors to keep their center running. All
benefits of this event went to the charity association of Mission de Vie
Jouzour Loubnan- Pier 7 hosted a fundraising Gala Dinner for Jouzour loubnan, an environmental organization aiming at
increasing the plantation in Lebanon. http://www.jouzourloubnan.org/events/news.asp Coinciding with their campaign to
protect the country's forests, Jouzour Loubnan held a fundraising party at Pier 7 where an open bar kept thirsts
quenched. Tickets were priced at the cost of five planted trees.
This year Pier 7 hosted Kunhadi taxi night even http://www.kunhadi.org this event was aimed at bringing awarness to the
hazards of drink driving.
Alcazar is part of the "Eat out for Life 2012”http://www.eatoutforlife.com where 10% of the Sales of Alcazar during one
week from the 1st of July till the 7th go to the Children's Cancer Center. That’s about it for our CSR contribution. Jouzour Loubnan will be hosting their Gala dinner fundraiser again at Pier 7 in September 2012
People By Crystal will be donating a percentage to the Breast Cancer Foundation for the entire month of October 2012
