Dear Brahman Enthusiasts,
I want to thank you for your interest in the Spring Select Sale. This year will mark the third year of this prestigious sale
and event that has proven to provide our members with an opportunity to market and purchase elite seed stock cattle
and genetics.
We are still experiencing exciting times in the cattle industry with prices remaining high, not only in the commercial
market but in the seed stock sector as well. The nation’s cowherd still continues to be restocked and emphasis is still
being placed strongly on crossbreeding and cattle that are adaptable. As a result we are increasing our market share and
this increased demand is expected to continue for at least the next 5-7 years, if not longer.
To take advantage of the opportunities ahead, you as producers must buy proven genetics that will last and will
produce offspring that will be marketable to prospective buyers. I encourage you to view this elite offering very closely as
there will be something for everyone.
In addition to the outstanding cattle offering you will want to attend the other festivities taking place over the

Dear Brahman Breeders,
Welcome to our third ABBA Spring Select Brahman Sale. We are really pleased with the quality of cattle consigned
to this sale. The consignors have gone deep into their herds by offering some tremendous Brahman genetics. When this
sale was started we wanted it to be very “select” in nature. We wanted to provide another avenue for our breeders to
showcase their Brahman programs by consigning a few of their best. I am proud of the commitment all the breeders have
made to this sale and to the breed as a whole.
The area breeders are excited to have this sale, once again in Louisiana, and are planning to make it a very memorable
event. Not only are they consigning some outstanding cattle, but they (along with other sponsors) are providing the
Friday night crawfish boil and entertainment. Also on Thursday night, May 14 we will all gather at Evangeline Downs for
fun and fellowship at the races. We had a great time last year so we hope you will plan on joining us again.

All cattle offered for sale will be sold to the highest bidder. The
Auctioneer will settle any disputes with regards to bids and his
decision will be final. Corrections or additions to any information in
the sale catalog will be announced from the auction block and will
take precedence over any printed material. It is the responsibility of
the seller to provide the sale management with any corrections prior
to the sale.
Terms of the sale are cash or check payable to Broken Triangle
Cattle in full to sale clerk immediately following the sale. Cattle will
not be released until payment is made, unless prior arrangements are
made with sale management. Each animal will become the buyer’s
responsibility as soon as sold. The owners, employees, auctioneer or
other affiliated personnel will not be responsible for any accidents,
but will make every effort to provide for the safety and comfort of
the animals and attendees. Transfer of animal ownership will be
the responsibility of Broken Triangle Cattle and will be done at the
expense of seller only after clearance of all checks. Transfers should
be completed within 2 weeks of sale date.
Every animal in the sale will be represented by state approved
health certificate for interstate shipping. All cattle sold for export
must be paid in full immediately following the sale. Seller will supply
all necessary health testing required for export to the buyer’s specific
country. The buyer must arrange for the care of the animals until
proper health papers can be completed.
Bulls will be fertility tested and will meet the Trich requirements
for Louisiana and out of state shipment. All bred females are
considered breeders with no further guarantee. All animals are
guaranteed to be breeders with the exception of (a) any female that
is placed in an embryo transplant program and subjected to superovulation or (b) neglect on part of the buyer. In the event an animal is
claimed to be a non-breeder, the purchaser may return the animal to
the seller’s farm if in good condition and accompanied with a health
certificate indicating that the animal is free from infectious and
contagious disease. This is done at purchaser’s expense. The seller is
then entitled to a six month trial following the return of the animal,
at which time he will have the opportunity to determine the animals
breeding ability. If at the end of six months the seller is unable to
prove the animal is a sound breeder the seller shall have the option
to replace the animal with another of similar quality or to refund the
purchase price. If the seller determines the proven breeding ability of
the animal it shall be obligation of the purchaser to accept delivery of
the animal. All transportation is to be at purchaser’s expense.
There will be NO LOAD OUT DURING SALE!! Cattle must be
removed from sales facility immediately following sale on Saturday
evening. No cattle will be allowed to remain overnight after the sale.
