STERIBUD allows the operator to obtain
a more effective result quicker and easier
than ever before. Traditional electric or gas
dehorners require electrical cables or force
the user to wait for the unit to heat up and
can be erratic in windy or cold conditions.
STERIBUD is almost instantaneously ready
to operate thanks to a state of the art microprocessor which electronically controls temperature and cycle time.
Thanks to a new Li-ion battery, the STERIBUD
dehorner is capable of dehorning over 100
calves (200 horns) on a single charge! The
STERIBUD maintains a consistent heat of
1200 ° F for an optimum cycle time of 7.5
seconds. Sound and light indicators tell you
when the dehorning cycle is complete. The
bud is then perfectly seared.

Why do we cut the tail ?
For many hygienic reasons, when changing
their feeding. (grass growth, nitrates excess)
diarrhoea might appear, and make the tail
dirty, attacting any kind of insects.
Cutting the tail of female and male destinated to reproduction is also important.
For those, we’ll let just one small part of the
tail, in order to cover the female vulva, or

the male anus. That will help them to get
the insects away.
Tail docking must be done on young and
healthy animals (before 15 days).
Use clean and disinfected material.
Disinfect the wound.
Keep an eye on the healing, and in any case
of problem call your veterinary

2 Techniques
1. Place a rubber ring. It will interrupt the
blood irrigation of the tail, causing the
necrosis and the tail fall. (8-15 days long).
A method without blood, but needs a
regular healing check. Recommended for
young animals ( ideal at 2-3 days)
2. Hemostatic tail docking. The applicator
has 2 sides, one smooth and sharpered,
which cuts the tail, and one grooved, wich
crushes the blood vessel and prevent the
bleeding.

The safest, quickest and cleanest way to
castrate all ages of farm stock.
You must proceed by crushing one testicular cord at a time, and make two
chrushes at 1-2 cm (1/2’’ - 3/4’’) apart.
-Identify the testicular cord.
-Block it with the castrator for 5 minutes.
-Repeat the same operation 1-2 cm (1/2’’
to 3/4’’) lower on the same cord. (The noncrushed space maintain the irrigation and
prevents from gangrene.)
-Execute these operations on the second
testicular cord.
-Never try to crush simultaneously both
testicular cords. It may be uneffective and
it will damage the castrators.

3 Techniques:
1. Place a rubber ring. It will interrupt the
blood irrigation of the testicle, causing the
necrosis and the testicle fall.
Place the ring, only once the testicle are
down in the scrotum. This method is used
only for lambs before 3 weeks.

2. Hemostatic emasculator, bloodless
castrator cut the testicle cord, and crush
the blood vessel, avoiding the bleeding.
Use this kind of equipment only on
young lambs (before 3 weeks) Use clean
and disinfected material.
Disinfect the wound after castration.
3. Bloodless castrators crush the testicle
cord. Technic without wound, to be
use after testicle maturation and up
to 6 months.

WARNING
Castration by means of bloodless castrator does
not always inhibit the procreation reflexes. In case
of any doubts, isolate the animal and repeat the
castrating process.
