The USTER® JOSSI FIRE SHIELD reliably detects and diverts all particles which may cause a fire hazard to
your equipment. The immediate shut down of the machine evacuates all ember contaminated material from
the duct, and activates various alarm functions.
The compact construction allows easy installation even in small areas.
Extinguishing system (optional)
Detected sparks and embers will be extinguished by injecting liquid fire extinguishing composition onto the
ejected cotton.
The alarm will be activated immediately allowing the operator to take necessary actions.

Detection and elimination of metal particles in fiber processing:
The USTER® JOSSI METAL SHIELD detects metal particles with great reliability. Even tiny non-magnetic
particles like aluminium and copper are detected and safely removed without disturbing the production
process.
SPEEDSENSE (optional) minimizes the amount of ejected material.
Depending on the speed and the size of the detected metal particle, the diverters activation time will be
automatically adapted.
This selectively adjusted activation time results in saving at least up to 90% of good cotton.
