Silvan Zingg is one of the leading exponents
of blues and boogie woogie piano style.
The US press calls him: ”the Boogie Woogie
ambassador”. In 2010 Silvan was invited to
give a concert and masterclass to the
University of Texas. In 2009 the
documentary “International Boogie Woogie”
by AMRF won the 1st prize at the
International Film Festival in Houston. Silvan
performs and is interviewed about his career.

He’s been invited to numerous festivals and
has played over 1000 concerts in more
than 30 countries so far (from Switzerland
to USA, from China to Russia, from India to
Arabia to name a few).
Silvan performs worldwide in concert halls, festivals, jazz clubs, TV and Radio
Shows, sports events, opening acts, VIP parties, etc.
Influenced by vintage recordings of black pianists, he started to play the piano
early as a child. After his studies at the university he began his professional
music career. Silvan Zingg’s style is a mixture of fat grooves, a heavy portion of
swing, and incredible virtuosity performed with a lot of fantasy. His show is pure
dynamics – no doubt, it’s first class live music.
He has been on stage with legends such as Chuck Berry, B.B. King, Ray Charles,
Tito Jackson, Katie Webster, Sammy Price, Memphis Slim, Champion Jack
Dupree, Michel Petrucciani, Pinetop Perkins and many more.
His song “Dancin’ the Boogie” received millions of views on Youtube and
turned into a worldwide hit – it’s the most watched swiss music-video clip!
In the year 2002 Silvan founded the „International Boogie Woogie Festival
Switzerland“.World-class dancers and pianists unite on Zingg’s invitation.
Whether they play solo or together, the vivid experience is a musical pleasure.
The Silvan Zingg International Boogie Woogie Festival was declared one of the
most important festivals in Europe’s blues scene by the renowned TV station
BBC World, which reported about it in a 30 minute broadcast, aired in more

This extraordinary trio has been performing concerts for the past years in major
venues throughout Europe. The music is in the blood of these gifted musicians
and they demonstrate it with their joyful performances, brilliant techniques and
fantasy stage sets. Audiences in large or in small private venues are attracted to
their open, precise, and colorful variations of tunes. Their youthful pleasure in
performance is obvious to everyone.

BOOGIE WOOGIE & BLUES PIANO LECTURE
Silvan Zingg will introduce the audience to the world of Boogie Woogie – from
the beginning of the 1920s, showing extracts from rare black and white music
movies. Furthermore, he will talk about the history and development of this
