GIVENCHY introduces the new Spring/Summer 2016 eyewear collection, produced and distributed by Safilo
Group. Embodying an expression of the Maison’s aesthetics, the new sunglasses and optical frames reflect the
brand’s codes and explore audacious architectural designs.
The new collection reveals a subtle yet powerful, carefully calibrated experimentation process in shapes and
sizes to create daring associations.
The timeless shapes are deliberately unisex and convey Givenchy’s identity through iconic detailing. Stylized
stars on the front, small metal teardrops on the temple tips, golden studs all over the profiles and staples fusing
into hinges establish the uniqueness of the new designs.
The Givenchy S/S 2016 eyewear collection includes four stylistic groups:

Skillful manufacturing techniques enhance the new glasses’ premium quality materials, celebrating the
Maison’s savoirfaire.
The color palette comprises classic shades and edgy color contrasts, from black to nude, red, white, or
sophisticated mirror effects, paired with shaded or flash lenses, for a bold style statement.
The new collection will be available at Givenchy boutiques, high-end opticians and quality department stores
starting January 2016.

Extreme, daring and edgy design for this “visor” wraparound shape blending two lenses in strong different
colors and mirrored effects, for an outstanding result. Rubber finishing details on the front and on the temples
underline the architectural strength of this frame.

Refined and elegant, with a studded touch: these sunglasses and optical frame feature metal studs on the top
profile of the front and the temples, subtly visible on the defined yet faceted volumes.

Classic with an edge. These unisex acetate sunglasses and optical frames feature a retro-inspired perfect
round shape. Contemporary contrasts between the sharp outlines and the round volumes of the nose result
from skillful hand-finished treatment.
The distinctive element is the “staple” detail: a slim metal line linking front and temples, as a signature feature.
Color palette: the sunglasses are available in transparent olive with brown lenses, havana with blue lenses,
dark havana with grey lenses, black with dark brown lenses.

Women’s butterfly-shaped sunglasses in Optyl (a registered trademark of Safilo for an ultra-lightweight plastic
material) which allows for the insertion of a colored metal element inside the temple resembling a dagger. The
design is emphasized by a bold contrast of sharp geometric lines and feminine volumes.
Color palette: black/crystal with grey lenses, white/crystal with grey shaded lenses, beige/crystal with brown
shaded lenses, black with grey lenses and havana with brown shaded lenses.

Elegant and feminine, these metal women’s pilot sunglasses are revisited with a minimal and lightweight design.
The graphic lines are enhanced by triangular shapes on the double-bridge and on the temples’ openwork. The

temples. A hand-polished detail provides the distinctive touch on the ultra-flat and classic design.
