This generation of teens communicates more now than any other
in the history of the world. They chat, IM, text, blog, Tweet, and
Facebook. They will tell you exactly what they think, if you are willing
to listen on their terms.
But this is also a generation that is hurting like never before. Their
music is filled with violence, sex, and drugs. Their favorite TV
channel (MTV) is broadcasting 30,000 sexual scenes per week.
Sex has become a game, an experience both in middle school and
high school.
And it is not just non-Christians engaged in this behavior. According
to surveys, Christian kids are being sucked into the culture at an
alarming rate. Only 4% of this generation is predicted to stay
with their faith after age 18 (as compared to 65% of the builder
generation born before 1945).
This is the first generation of teens where thousands of them have
no spiritual heritage; whereas in generations before at least one of
the family - grandmother, or mother, or aunt - had a faith to share. In
fact, PBS recently labeled this generation as the first one who has
been raised not by parents, but instead by the INTERNET.
CHAT
Remedy.fm is dedicated to listening to teens on their terms, using
their methods. We are here to let them CHAT, LISTEN to what they
say, and help them see there is a God who has a deep LOVE for them
and who knows where they’re at...And ultimately, He has a CURE for
the issues they struggle with because He is the REMEDY.
During what appeared to be a routine afternoon in the studio, Clinton received an IM (instant message via computer) from a
teen who had taken an overdose of prescription drugs in a suicide attempt. In continuing communication with Clinton, the
teen indicated that he was “fading fast” so Clinton notified police who called the EMS. Arriving at the hospital in time, his life
was saved. The police expressed their amazement that the teen would call a web station during the attempt. A grateful mother
and son came to the Remedy.fm studios to thank the staff for the intervention. While recording their story on video,
the teen confirmed that he now knew that God is real since God saved him from suicide for a purpose.

LISTEN
Remedy.fm is a positive web station
designed for teens. Our mission is
to help teens realize that their
one-and-only life matters to God.
Remedy.fm is on the cutting edge of technology. DJ’s
interact with listeners via texting, instant messaging,
and emails. Studio cameras enable teens to watch the
studio happenings while listening.
Our research continues to reveal that Remedy.fm is
the only teen web station with these cameras and the
effective DJ communication with teens.
Remedy.fm is a positive web station designed for
teens. Our mission is to help teens realize that their
one-and-only life matters to God. Through positive
music and discussion of relevant teen topics,
Remedy.fm brings answers from God’s Word to a
generation that is exposed daily to media sources that
flood them with sex, drugs, and violence. Live call-in
shows and “remote” events draw teens to the station
and allow them to hear the good news of Jesus Christ.
Because Remedy.fm is on the internet, it has a
global reach. Within the first two years of operation,
Remedy.fm has welcomed over 1 million visitors to
the audio stream. Listeners are from all 50 states and
over 180 foreign countries.
Remedy.fm is bringing
the cure to a hurting
generation.
Remedy.fm’s presence in our ministry over the last few months has been refreshing. From Sr. Adults to middle school students I continue to
hear feedback from Clinton’s visit several Sunday mornings ago and Remedy.fm’s heightened presence in all of our student ministry settings.
So many of these kids and their peers are getting pounded each day by the illicit message of the enemy and for them to now have a positive
alternative in their music world that draws them toward truth and encouragement is absolutely huge. As a pastor I’m grateful... as a Dad I’m
overwhelmed! Thanks Remedy.fm for your willingness to stand in the gap!

How Relationships
Grow at Remedy.fm
After this, I heard the Lord ask, “Is there
anyone I can send? Will someone go for us?”
“I’ll go,” I answered. “Send me!” Isaiah 6:8
Remedy.fm exists only by the gifts provided by our
Partners in Ministry. We do not seek out advertisers,
we do not run countless on-air fundraisers. We
believe God has called us to a life of service to this
generation. Many people will ask us how they can
help. Here are a few ways you can walk with us on
this journey.
Pray
We need it. You can do it, regardless of your portfolio.
Soul Care Club Members
A group of folks, just like you, that give $100 a
month or more to futher the web missions work of
Remedy.fm. This group receives a monthly
publication that highlights real ministry moments
at the station.
Soul Support
Our single, one-time donor group. Perhaps you have
been moved to give, perhaps you can’t make that
monthly promise. We would so appreciate any
financial support you might be led to give.
Soulmedics
A group of people that dedicate just one hour a week
on one of Remedy.fm’s social network pages to pray
for, chat with, and uplift our young listeners.
Partner with us
Let’s be creative. Let’s dream together about ways
you might be led to help us out. We are always looking
for that next big idea to make us more relevant, more
real, and more effective to this generation. If you have
an idea of how we can work together, let’s chat.

Clinton Faupel

Holly Schambach
Clinton has served in youth
ministry for 17 years prior to
launching this web station
for teens. Clinton’s role as
Executive Director allows him the
privilege of telling others about
partnership opportunities as well
as using his ordained, pastoral
background to bring ministry
components to what Remedy.fm
does. Whether it’s a school
assembly, a speaking event, or
one of our online programs,
Clinton brings a transparent,
no holds barred approach to
purposeful living. Whether
it’s local or national, Clinton’s
commitment is to share his
passion for web ministry and the
one-of-a-kind web station that
Remedy.fm is. To encourage and
equip those who work with or
parent teens, Clinton hosts the
weekly podcast, “ER,” for youth
pastors/leaders, the popular
webcast, “The Clinic,” and also
co-hosts “HURT,” a prayer show
on Sunday nights that responds
to the requests of teens looking
for hope.
Dan ran a concert lighting
company in the late 1990’s
and early 2000’s. He toured
with bands like Bleach, Skillet,
and Earthsuit plus provided
production for many positive
bands from The Supertones
to Thousand Foot Crutch to
Newsong. Dan and his wife,
Trish, felt that God wanted them
to start a positive radio outlet
for teens. Oddly enough, God
led him to one of the most antipositive radio stations in the
Ft. Wayne area. He was there for
5 years working his way up the
ladder to assistant chief engineer.
After being approached by Char
Binkley (founder) and Clinton and
hearing that they had the same
vision, Dan knew that God had
been training him for the past
5 years for just this moment.
As Programming Director Dan
organizes the daily production
of Remedy.fm. This includes
creating music logs, researching
artists, producing content for air
play, and training of DJs.
Holly Schambach joined
Remedy.fm in August, 2007.
After meeting with Clinton and
Char Binkley (founder) over
spring break of her senior year
in college, she knew she wanted
to be part of this ministry. Still
fresh out of her own hurting
teen years, Holly immediately
had a passion for the mission of
Remedy.fm and thanked God for
just the right timing to join the
start up team. Previously, Holly
gained experience in the music
entertainment world through
high school and college. Holly
has a BA in Music Business which
brings a unique perspective to
the team. Known as the “details
gal,” Holly runs the business side
of Remedy.fm including office
management, finances, and
promotions.
