The main attraction is the park and campground nestled beside the water. Fishing is a big draw: try for giant Gerrard trout in Lower Arrow Lake. Taste local farm produce at the farmer’s market every second Saturday morning in summer. A network of logging roads can be used as trails. Check out Inonoaklin Falls at the foot of Inonoaklin Valley Rd. Thousands of hectares of deep snow make Trout Lake area among the world’s best locales for backcountry skiing, snow/noboarding and snowmobiling. Other attractions are fishing, quadding and Silver Cup Ridge trail network. Launch your boat at the waterfront campground, admire the beautifully restored Windsor Hotel (built in the 1890s) and the general store’s unique pair of old-fashioned gravity-fed gas tanks with seethrough chambers. Great fishing at Trout, Armstrong and Staubert lakes. Watch the largest trout in the world, Gerrard rainbows, spawn mid-April to mid-May from the platform in Goat Range Park. See how many people it takes to wrap your arms around the massive cedars and hemlocks in the Incomappleux River valley, the jewel in the crown of the globally unique Inland Temperate Rainforest. Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep VERONICA SARGEANT Halcyon Hot Springs is a developing community around the historical hot springs site, which was first developed in 1893.
