history is impressively documented in over 5,000
artifacts at the museum (next to the Visitor Info Centre),
and at the Arrow Lakes Historical Society’s archives.
Arts & Culture
Breathtaking views from four pools. Spa, world-class
fine dining, accommodation. Camping, horseback
riding, fishing, boating and snowmobile tours, rentals

Wellness
The arts and culture scene is thriving in Nakusp
and the Arrow Lakes. Artists showcase their work
throughout the year. A very active Arts Council
supports local arts and theatre groups and brings in
music and theatre from outside the area. Visit local
businesses to admire and purchase artwork during
Art Walk in summer.

Burton is a quiet place to camp, paddle, swim, fish
and enjoy nature. The Burton lakeside campground
has spectacular views of several creek valleys. Marvel
at the vast estuary that forms where these creeks
empty into the lake, attracting shorebirds to the
mudflats at low water. Enjoy the fall fair at the end
of August and May Days festivities on the May long
weekend. As you wander around the village, you’ll
find a playground at the school, a community park
with a sports field and roller rink, equestrian grounds,
a marina and boat launch, a sandy beach, and a
hiking trail from the campgrounds to the old townsite.

Fauquier is the eastern landing site for the Needles
Ferry. This community of 200 is a peaceful place to
golf, fish and camp. A challenging 9-hole golf course
runs along the beautiful mountain-rimmed shoreline
of Lower Arrow Lake. Camp at Octopus Creek and
Taite Creek provincial recreation sites south of town.
Join fellow anglers at the boat launch. The kids will
enjoy the playground at Maple St. Park and find the
gymkhana grounds at the community park. On July
1st celebrate Canada Day with entertainment and
fireworks.

Edgewood
Trout Lake
Edgewood is a friendly village surrounded by farmland
and forest. The main attraction is the park and
campground nestled beside the water. Fishing is a
big draw: try for giant Gerrard trout in Lower Arrow
Lake. Taste local farm produce at the farmer’s market
every second Saturday morning in summer. A network
of logging roads can be used as trails. Check out
Inonoaklin Falls at the foot of Inonoaklin Valley Rd.
Thousands of hectares of deep snow make Trout Lake
area among the world’s best locales for backcountry
skiing, snow/noboarding and snowmobiling. Other
attractions are fishing, quadding and Silver Cup Ridge
trail network. Launch your boat at the waterfront
campground, admire the beautifully restored Windsor
Hotel (built in the 1890s) and the general store’s unique
pair of old-fashioned gravity-fed gas tanks with seethrough chambers. Great fishing at Trout, Armstrong
and Staubert lakes. Watch the largest trout in the
world, Gerrard rainbows, spawn mid-April to mid-May
from the platform in Goat Range Park. See how many
people it takes to wrap your arms around the massive
cedars and hemlocks in the Incomappleux River valley,
the jewel in the crown of the globally unique Inland
Temperate Rainforest.

Halcyon Hot Springs is a developing community
around the historical hot springs site, which was
first developed in 1893. Beautifully spread along the
shoreline of the Arrow Lake, the community consists
of the hot springs resort and pools, land developments
and private cottages. The view from Halcyon across
the lake towards the towering peaks of the Monashee
Mountains is breathtaking.
