Greetings, High School Activities and Fellow Utahans!
On behalf of U.S. Bank and Les Schwab Tire Centers, welcome to today’s championship event! U.S. Bank and
Less Schwab are equally proud to be the premier partners of the Utah High School Activities Association, as well
as title sponsors of the UHSAA State Championships.
Both U.S. Bank and Les Schwab have a long tradition of supporting Utah communities where our customers and
employees both live and work. U.S. Bank is the largest financial sponsor of high school athletics in the nation
and Les Schwab has been supporting young people for over 59 years. Continually, it is our children who are our
future; therefore, we are extremely proud to demonstrate this commitment in Utah, where 138 member high
schools serve more than 112,000 students, both in and outside of the class room.
At U.S. Bank and Les Schwab, we believe that participation and sportsmanship in organized activities not only
helps our young people do better in school, and learn valuable life skills like cooperation, leadership and teamwork, but also this participation helps them to become strong contributors to our communities. Not only are the
UHSAA programs vital to the development of our kids, but also they are vital to the strength of our community.

Bart Thompson is in his fifth year with the UHSAA, and has served as the director
over soccer since coming to the Association. Bart came to the UHSAA after working
as the head wrestling and track coach and assistant football coach and social science
teacher at Viewmont High School for 22 years.
Having lived in Utah since he was seven years old, Bart also oversees Cross Country,
Wrestling, Track & Field and Speech/Debate.
A magna cum laude graduate of Weber State University where he competed as a member of the Track & Field team, Bart also enjoys fishing, hunting and spending time
with his family.
