February 2013
Welcome to the first ever IBS Conference Planning Guide! Included in this guide for your reference and
planning purposes is a list of all of the upcoming conference sessions for the 73rd Annual IBS Conference.
This year’s conference will be held at the Hotel Pennsylvania, located right across the street from
Madison Square Garden in the heart of New York City.
Sessions will begin on Friday, March 1 at 12:30pm and registration will open that same day at 11am on
the 6th floor of the hotel. Panels and sessions will continue through 6:30pm on Friday night and will
begin again on Saturday, March 2 at 9:30am.
In this guide you will find not only the titles of the great sessions we have planned for you but also a list
of who will be presenting at each one and a brief description of what you can expect to hear at each
session.
We sincerely hope you are able to join us in New York for our conference. If you haven’t already done
so please register today by calling 845-565-0003 or going online to our website
http://www.collegebroadcasters.us.
To make reservations at the Hotel Penn you will need to contact them directly by calling toll-free 1-800223-8585. Be sure to call to get the special discounted IBS rate. This rate is not available when you
book on their website (and of course be sure to mention IBS 2013).
If you have any questions about our conference, its schedule or planning your trip to New York please
do not hesitate to contact me at 708-482-9585 or via email at [email protected].
I look forward to seeing you in March!
Sincerely,
Chris Thomas
IBS President

of New York’s most successful morning teams
yourself as Bronson and Christine join us from
106.7 Lite FM (WLTW-New York).
Albert Bouchard is the drummer of Blue Oyster Cult
and will be on hand to answer questions and tell
stories from his days in the studio and on the road
with one of the great bands from the 70s.
Skip Dillard is the Operations Manager for 107.5
WBLS New York. Did we mention WBLS happens to
always be at the top of the list of most listened to
music stations in the city? Come and hear from
Skip how it is done!
