kayak factory in Rosenheim we develop,
assemble and test our kayaks.
Our passion for kayaking is expressed in
our kayaks. We’re proud of producing
in our home Bavaria, being close to the
majority of our customers and being able
to safeguard jobs in the long term. We’re
also consequently trying to source our
carefully selected parts locally to support
domestic producers and to meet ecological requirements. Our HTP is recyclable,
very durable and the used colors are free
of heavy metals.

This category is ideal for a vast range of terrains,
from rivers to coastal waters in calm conditions.
Here you will find well-tried allrounders for
luggage tours, for example the Touryak, agile
kayaks for fast-moving rivers, like the new
ENDURO 450 and various two-seaters. These
boats have been constructed a bit shorter and
broader to provide a higher level of
base stability.
These kayaks are very similar to the allrounders with regard to boat shape. They have
good tracking and are good to maneuver. The
essential difference is the technical equipment
of the boats. There are fewer waterproof storages and the seating is also simpler. Therefore
these boats are very well suited for short tours
without a lot of luggage or for kayak rental.

Our guided seakayak-tours are very popular among paddlers for years.
The Dalmatian coast is one of the most beautiful paddling territories in the world, thanks to its clear water and rocky
coastline. Enjoy a memorable week of beautiful day tours with our experienced guide. Choose between our Croatian
bases Prvic (near Šibenik) and Risanka on the main island of Kornati in Kornati National Park. For our base in Risanka
we are additionally offering the tour starting from Sali on the island of Dugi Otok.
Prvic Island: The island of Prvic is located about 15 kilometres south of the Kornati archipelago and approximately
3 kilometres from the mainland. It is one of the islands of the Šibenik archipelago which are closest to the mainland.
Kornati Island: Our base is in Risanka, on Kornati main island, in the middle of the Kornati National Park.
From here we can easily start kayak tours and a holiday cottage is at our disposal in Šibnate bay.

FROM SWEDEN
TO THE BLACK SEA
To paddle from Sweden to the Black Sea is an
ambitious scheme, and Jonathan Lungqvist
& Marcus Aspsjö from Sweden made this
journey as their first of a series of three
adventures which they’ll do over a year.
They choose Prijon Prilite Marlins as
their kayaks, because this model has the
reputation of being a sturdy, stable, durable
and efficient expedition kayak. Offering a
good cargo capacity with the performance
to make their journey in their planned time
frame. Their first leg of 500 km followed
the Danish coast after crossing over from
Helsingborg in Sweden, then down to the

south east tip, where they did a seven hour
open water crossing of the Baltic Sea to
Germany, followed by a short paddle up the
coast of Poland into the Odra river.
800 km later, after paddling upstream
through Poland into Slovakia, they faced the
next major obstacle, a 100 km walk dragging
their kayaks over a mountain pass into the
Vah river on the other side.
Now, as they paddled with the flow, they
progressed much faster. Soon they were
paddling past Budapest on the Donau, then
into Serbia. They met colorful friendly locals
along the riverbanks as they camped each

night under the stars cooking on open fires.
Following the border to Rumania and then
into Bulgaria they eventually found themselves
at the river mouth of a canal that lead from
the Donau out to the Black Sea.
Now for the first time they experienced the
difficulties of paddling in rough seas, strong
currents and winds this area brings at the end
of summer. After 3300 km and ten different
countries, they had no more than a week of
paddling to their final destination of Istanbul,
but the weather and sea conditions made
each day they attempted to paddle south
along the coast treacherous and difficult. With
the start date for their second large adventure
to walk across India looming over them,
Marcus and Jonathan took the wise decision
to store their kayaks on the coast to return
next year, to continue perhaps even further
beyond Istanbul.

The smaller brother of the TOURYAK 500 is the optimum touring kayak for smaller and lighter paddlers. Deck
height, width and volume have been adapted to fit the needs of smaller paddlers. A perfectly formed lower boat

Nord-Scandinavia on the edge of Europe
Canyons dug in lonely Fjells, mysterious
whitewater in absolute solitude – the stuff
kayak dreams are made of. A team consisting
of Sebastian Gründler and Ulrich Kittelberger
erased one of the last blank areas on the map
of European rivers.
Even by using satellite data, the research
about the rivers located between polar circle
and North Cape took nearly one year, as there was nearly no information available on the

lower boat provide good tracking and precise riding qualities. Steep or heavy, narrow or open whitewater, the CURVE 3.0 is

few roads, reachable only by a day’s march,
with an average length of whitewater of
minimum 40 k in unknown terrain – a special
and challenging physical challenge.
The idea: only a minimum of luggage, to
keep the handling in heavy whitewater, and
walking and paddling during the midnight
sun as long as possible. Especially light
kayaking material was the most important
premise for these speed-tours. Plus an agile
and fast kayak for whitewater with steep and
unclear headwaters. Still offering enough volume for a sleeping bag and a tent. Therefore
we chose the CURVE - a good decision! Even
after dragging the boats for more than
120k over endless Fjells they didn’t let us
down! But most of all we were impressed by
the agility of the boats, even when carrying
all the luggage.

WHITEWATER KAYAKS
The PRO-fitting provides an excellent contact to the boat. This leads to more
agility and a far better control over the kayak while demanding athletic use.
The PRO-fitting is solid and functional, the sitting position is very comfortable,
footbrace and seat can be adjusted quickly.
The bottom rail in combination with sturdy and lightweight foam domes in the
front and back provides the already very durable HTP-shell with
even more rigidity.
NEW in 2016 is the longer, ergonomically optimized PRO-seat which is
interlocking connected with the floor rail, the foam pads attached on the side
on the cockpit rim and the revised 3D-thigh braces with enlarged padding. The
result is a more comfortable and compact sitting position at a lower weight!
The seat padding can individually be adjusted with the supplied foam pads
with regard to width and height. The lightweight back-belt offers a very good
hold and is easy to adjust, thanks to the new mounting. PRO-fitted kayaks are
equipped with an aluminum footbrace as a standard.
The perfect whitewater kayak for smaller and lighter paddlers! Thanks to its dynamics and agility you will immediately
feel comfortable in the CURVE 2.5. Its light weight and the reduced measurements simplify its handling. The cockpit rim,
which has been widened towards the back, improves the mobility of the paddler. The broad bent-up tip provides safety, its
pronounced edges high initial stability and maximum agility.

The STREAM consists of high-quality carbon or glass fibres, pressed
into a mold under high pressure and at a high temperature. The
profile in the paddle blade permits a construction without a middle
core. The blades are very stiff and don’t flutter. Its stability can be
compared to our high-quality white water blades. Due to its shape
which is a bit flatter, the STREAM is also suited for sea kayaking. It
glides easily through the water and is saves energy to the paddler.

NEOPRENE
These spraydecks are made for continuous operation on rivers, lakes and the sea. Their most important characteristic is that they

FLEX
The advantages of the stretchable FLEX-Nylon material are its low weight and small pack size. These spraydecks have very good
hold on the boat. Their mechanic resilience is lower than the one from Neoprene.

BOAT CART
For transporting your kayak from the car to the water and back and in case of walking passages during tours, we offer you a large
assortment of boat carts. The choice for the right cart depends on the type of the kayak and the requirements to the pack size.
Smaller and lighter carts are easier to store in the kayak, larger carts with bigger wheels roll better in rough terrains and don’t cave
in that easily.

Vertical support bars enable you to transport several boats on your roof rack, as the boats are transported upright side by side. The foldable
version can remain on the roof of the car, even at low vertical clearances, e.g. at the garage door.

for smaller persons. A common problem…the kayak is heavy and the height of the cars increases.
Many paddlers are cannot get into enjoying kayaking due to the sometimes very energy-consuming
handling. The PRIJON load assist makes it possible for one person to load a kayak without any extra
help. The load strap prevents the kayak from slipping backwards. The bow is placed on the extension,

Prijon HTP – boat hulls are very sturdy and hard-wearing. The material used has already received
its permanent protection against UV rays. Normal ground impact occurring when touring cannot
harm the hull. Transport with standard roof racks is easy. Slight deformations caused by the
cargo straps will go back to the normal shape within minutes after unloading the kayak. When
transporting longer boats over longer distances, we recommend you to additionally secure the
ends of the boat with straps.

If the boat is permanently stored outside, the boat hull should be covered, in order to prevent
premature fading of the colour. Temperatures of -40° C to +60° are no problem at all. Even
under such extreme conditions, HTP will keep its flexibility and sturdiness. It is not necessary to
treat it with varnishes, wax or other polishing substances. These would become apparent on the
surface and cause unattractive discolourations. For cleaning, just use warm water with a dash of
washing-up liquid.

HTP - HOCHLEISTUNGS-THERMOPLAST
For the production of its world-famous HTP-kayaks, PRIJON is using a special PE, called HTP. This material can only be used in blow-moulding and not
in roto-moulding, as used by other producers of kayaks. The molecule chains of HTP are approximately 10 times longer than those of rotated PE. This
makes the boat hulls stiffer, lighter and less susceptible to abrasion. HTP-kayaks have clear advantages regarding form stability, abrasion and boat
weight, compared to kayaks made of rotated PE. HTP is very environmentally friendly. When it is recycled, there are no poisonous gases or residues; it
is ground water neutral and free of heavy metals. Care: HTP-boat shells are very sturdy and already possess a permanent protection against UV-rays.
Therefore they need no treatment with varnishes, wax or other care materials.

For PriLite boats, the ABS-combination plates, sealed with UV-resistant perspex, are pulled into the hot moulds, which have a temperature of
approximately 80 degrees, in a computerized process, using heat and vacuum. The upper and lower parts of the boat are inseparably joined together

fittings are thoroughly done by hand, as on all Prijon boats. Advantages: PriLite boats are approx. 20% lighter than comparable kayaks made of HTP.
At the same time there is a clear advantage regarding stability compared to GFK or Carbon/Aramide.
Repairs/Care: Superficial scratches can be polished off with a special paste, available in specialized shops. Larger repairs are made with Epoxi. The inside
of the boat should not be permanently exposed to sun (store upside down!).

LAMINATED KAYAKS
Laminated kayaks are made by hand in the traditional way. They are more sensitive to contact with the ground compared to boats made of HTP or
PriLite, and should therefore be predominantly used in free-flowing waters. PRIJON is offering the two material varieties of GPR and Carbon/Aramide.
Carbon-Aramide
These boats mainly consist of carbon and Aramide fibres, combining the excellent qualities of carbon,
which is very hard and gives the boat its stiffness with the qualities of Aramide, which is very shock-proof
and provides the necessary impact resistance of the kayak. The biggest advantage of this construction
method is clearly the incredibly low weight (up to 10kg lighter than HTP-boats).
