LEVY OF PROPERTY TAX MMC ACT. 1949

Section 127(1) A –of the Maharashtra Municipal
Corporation Act. 1949 enables Corporation to levy property
tax on lands and buildings.

The tax shall be levied at such percentage on
Rateable value as fixed by Corporation under the provision
of schedule chapter VIII Rule 7 of the Maharashtra
Municipal Corporation Act. 1949
