1. THE POWER OF STONES
Throughout the ages humans have adorned their bodies, homes, and places of worship with
gemstones, treasured both for their beauty and for their ability to enhance human wellbeing and
focus energy. People notice that gemstones have specific properties and could effect a person
overall or specific body parts in a positive way. Today gemstones are a staple of holistic medicine
as well as their very own form of therapy. Scientific research confirms that gemstones and crystals
have healing and transforming effects on the whole person when they come in contact with the
layers of the human aura (energy field), with the chakras (energy centers), skin and hair.
Quantum physics teaches that every part of matter, every organic cell sends and receives
electromagnetic fields. The subtle vibrational fields of crystals can influence the human vibrational
field in many ways. People start to feel, see and witness this phenomenon more and more. Crystals
are at the core of technology sharing their gift of memory.
Crystals and gems have a higher frequency than we humans, and consequently naturally balance
and uplift our vibration. This doesn’t necessarily mean that they are better or better off than we are.
They are simply a different species, which doesn’t have a colon or emotional outbursts. They exist
beyond duality.
The times, in which we live right now, evoke a sense of urgency within many of us. We need all the
help we can get to live our full potential, increase our connectedness with each other and be of
heart-centered service, while maintaining health and ultimately experiencing life in an inspired and
grateful state.
Stones remind each of us of what we need to be reminded of: beauty, stillness, peace, stability, and
the Earth. Stones, gems and crystals are here to serve us in many ways. From solid house walls
and elegant counter tops to a sparkle on our ring finger, they protect us and align our energies.
Their influence on our consciousness as transmitters is an unlimited field of possibilities
People collect stones and connect with them in as many ways as there are people and stones.
Everybody I have ever asked has a special stone story to share. My earliest memories of linking
with stones in this lifetime are made of the rocks at Denmark’s North Shore, where we vacationed
in the summer. Every day, my dad and I walked to a special rock formation, sat down in between
two large rocks and played ‘driving.’ Talk about a rock solid adventure! I remember feeling so right
and perfectly home at that spot. At Germany’s North Sea Shore, another nature spot, we went to
frequently, I climbed and skipped over the rocks lining the coast for hours.
My love affair with gems began with one mighty stone. At about five years young, I found a tiny
tiger eye stone in a store and was mesmerized by its beauty and feel. I started a gemstone
collection.

As Teenager hair became an important theme for me, mainly because I experienced hair loss. In my
early twenties I studied the Hair Balancing Technique and Philosophy. I studied psychology,
focusing on the meaning and symbolism of hair for people and eventually became a holistic
hairdresser and therapist. Personally, I was in a phase in which I learned to accept myself, my body
more and to develop self-confidence. I noticed how many people had problems with their hair and
often the root of it all as lack of self-love. Subconsciously, my brain must have searched for ways to
unite my love for gems and my desire to bring their energy to people’s hair, because in 1990 a life
changing moment occurred. I was traveling by train and looking out of the window, when I suddenly
heard a voice saying:
"I am the Rose Quartz Comb. I want to be manifested
in this world to bring love and light to people's hair."
The energy behind these words was strong, clear and enchanting. Within two weeks I found a
jeweler who would make this comb for me. In the drawing of my vision the comb had seven teeth,
just like the seven chakras, I thought. However, twice when the jeweler started to cut the comb out
of the raw stone, it broke. He succeeded only when he added two teeth. The whole process took
him eight hours. The number nine represents completion.
The process lasted eight hours and back then I paid 200 German Marks, about $200. My heart
jubilated, when I held the Rose Quartz Comb in my hands and combed my hair. The jubilating was
an expression of a jump into a higher and lighter frequency and reality and this jump is possible for
everyone, who comes in touch with the Gemcombs.
This first Rose Quartz Comb became a close friend, which I called ‘Rosie,’ viewing stones as
spirited life forms like plants with great healing powers. ‘Rosie’ combed thousands of people's hair
and auras in the next decade. I cleansed it with water, salt, earth or sage and bathed it in waterfalls,
rivers, lakes and oceans. It rested in craters, inside the Earth and in beautiful gardens and flew with
me through the clouds. People were touched by its beauty, energy, sound and message. This was
the beginning of the Gemcomb Story. The first of the Gemcombs rests now in my home on Maui
and holds the master energy of love for all the Rose Quartz Gemcombs.

My mission is to combine ancient and modern knowledge about healing and transformation
through the energy of gemstones. The Gemcombs are unique tools of beauty and love, which
assist people in integrating gemstone therapy easily into their lives in time-tested and innovative
ways. I believe that through sensual, sensitive use, touch, energy work and simply through
presence, every Gemcomb has the potential to restore balance and increase health and awareness
for our environment, body, hair, aura and the self. Gemcombs intend to align us with our spiritual
path, reconnect us with our highest truth and invite true intimacy with our selves and others. My
vision is part of the Great Sun’s Dream, in which the vibrations of light, love, beauty, inspiration,
gratitude and wisdom for people and beings of this planet and beyond are constantly increasing.
It is my prayer and intention that the Gemcombs, Stone Helpers Extraordinaire from the Mineral
King- and Queendom contribute to us all living the high destiny of service and prosperity for the
highest good of all. I see the Gemcombs as global ascension tools. The first and most important
part of our bodies the Gemcombs are destined to work with is our hair. Hair is the bridge between
the physical and non-physical bodies, not just the connection between our own physical and nonphysical body, the aura but also between the physical and n-physical bodies of different beings.
Hair is our antenna. The Gemcomb’s teeth are showing like the hair up and connect us with the
stars. When the teeth are showing down they connect us with the core of the Earth. As we align
our hair, bodies, auras and life with the help of crystalline vibrations, we connect to the
microcosmic and macrocosmic matrix of sacred geometry within and round all life.
The mythology of the Gemcombs consists of memories of the ancient past and glimpses of future
visions merged into their creation for us to experience and enjoy here and now. In Lemuria, a
sunken continent and now a mythological and spiritual dimension, connected to the Hawaiian
islands, people communicated effortlessly with animals, plants, and stones; in Atlantis, another
ancient civilization in the Atlantic Ocean near the Bahamas, people used crystals for healing, to
comb their hair and adorn themselves; in Ancient Egypt, priests and healers used crystals in rituals
and medicine; in China, Jade combs would beautify women's hair.
I express my gratitude to the Mineral King and Queendoms, especially to the guardians of the
Snow Quartz, Quartz Crystal, Amethyst, Blue Lace Agate, Rose Quartz, Jade, Tiger Eye, Red
Jasper, Snowflake Obsidian and Black Obsidian, and I pledge to observe myself serving
obediently, humbly as well as masterfully holding the highest values of transparency and truth.

2. THE SYMBOLISM OF COMBS
The comb is an ancient matriarchal symbol, making it the comb of he Goddess. In India and for
some Native American tribes, combs represent rain, signaling new growth, fresh life and renewal.
Its teeth represent the pubic hair surrounding the vaginal cave. It is similar to the witches’ broom,
where the stick is the phallic symbol and the bristles represent the vagina. The Greek word kteis
means vulva and is also used for the word comb, both symbols of life-giving power!”
The comb is a feminine Yin and scissors are a masculine Yang tool. A comb’s movement through
hair is soothing and comforting. Scissors are an instrument of decision power, which decisively
cuts and separates the old from the new. A comb has the power to organize the ‘universe’ of hair,
including its surrounding energy field. A Gemcomb is an auspicious gift. In some legends and
tales combs have the function of protective talismans.

feel, or make promises of healing but instead leave room for your own experiments and
discoveries.

3. THE SNOW QUARTZ GEMCOMB – MASTER ENERGY OF INNOCENCE
Snow Quartz transmits the peacefulness of fresh
fallen snow and represents the purity of children.
Snow Quartz is the Stone of Innocence.
Quartz is one of the most common minerals, we can
find and its veins often enclose gold or silver. Snow
Quartz is the opaque version of Quartz. Its tiny
inclusions may contain carbon dioxide and water and create the milky appearance. This chemical
process may be translated into the energetic ability of the Snow Quartz to hold emotions for us,
which we can examine at a later point in time, when meditating with the stone, instead of being
overwhelmed by them.
The Snow Quartz Comb is related to the energetic realm above the Crown Chakra. It is connected
to the Higher Self, the Soul Star. It purifies the channels, which can be used to communicate with
other beings and dimensions. The Snow Quartz Comb is the main one, which is assisting the
writing about all combs.
The Snow Quartz Comb belongs to the same Crystal stone family and is similar to the Quartz
crystal but feels more gentle and subtle. The Snow Quartz Comb can be used when one needs
spiritual guidance and special blessings. When the Snow Quartz Comb is held high above the
Crown Chakra, it can balance the whole energy system.
The Snow Quartz Comb can be used to purify, cleanse and balance the aura, the chakras and the
meridian system.
Its medical applications are related to bones, teeth, it may aid calcium absorption, and as
crystalline silica, it carries a very beneficial vibration for hair strengthening. It has also been used to
treat nervous disorders and to treat numb or cold body parts.

The Snow Quartz Comb was created, first to substitute the Quartz crystal Gemcomb, if raw quartz
crystals were unavailable. However, its distinctly different vibration and the feedback from
customers who were especially drawn to it, led us to connect deeper with its unique healing
properties.

4. THE QUARTZ CRYSTAL GEMCOMB –
MASTER ENERGY OF LIGHT AND CLARITY
Quartz crystal also called clear Quartz is the Stone of
Light and Clarity. Being transparent, it allows all the
color frequencies of the spectrum through and creates
rainbows within and around itself. Quartz crystal has
the ability to unblock the flow of energy and to purify
the energy field. Quartz crystal can enhance mental
capacity, clarity and concentration.
Of all gemstones, Quartz crystal may be most easily programmed to bring healing to the spiritual
and physical bodies.
Some ancient peoples believed that Quartz crystal was a compact fossilized form of ice; the
Greeks had originally named quartz, krystallos, the word for ice. The name Quartz is an old
German mining term, in general use since the sixteenth century. In China’s Ming Dynasty, quartz
was used for jewelry and temple ornamentation. In Pre-Columbian America excavations of
Mixtec graves have uncovered ear jewelry made of quartz.
The ancient Japanese, who revered the Dragon as a central figure of their creation myths,
believed quartz formed from the breath of a White Dragon. To them, quartz was representative of
perfection, which, while unattainable, was worthy of pursuit. Quartz played essential roles in the
rain rituals of Native Americans and the Australian Aborigines. In Western culture, Christian
artifacts were often made of quartz. Quartz crystal was the first crystal used in radio transmission
and reception and was essential in the development of computers and watches.
In holistic medicine, Quartz crystal has been used to treat general pain, headaches, dizziness and
digestive problems.

The Quartz crystal Comb was created to assist in purifying the scalp, hair, energetic field and
physical body. It is especially linked to the crown chakra and may be used in holistic healing
work to open the channels of communication and light. Quartz crystal is an energy manager. It
can amplify, focus and direct energy. It can store energy and is able to dissipate and transform
negative energies.
Our customers and clients have reported that the Quartz crystal Comb seemed to have a
cleansing effect on their aura, transmitted focused healing energy, and fostered a sense of
centeredness and clarity.

5. THE AMETHYST GEMCOMB – MASTER ENERGY OF WISDOM
Amethyst is the Stone of Wisdom. It has the ability
to enhance concentration and meditation and to
connect the person exposed to it with the highest
spiritual thoughts and truths.
Amethyst may
heighten intuition and clear the ‘fog’ created by too
many thoughts, feelings and images.
Historically, European and Egyptian royalty and
priests alike have used Amethyst, with its ‘royal’ purple color, as a stone of both sobriety and
nobility. Amethyst was used in the ornamentation of Catholic and other churches in the Middle
Ages. Rosaries as well as malas (Indian prayer beads) are often made from Amethyst. In Tibet,
Amethyst is considered to be sacred to Buddha.
The Greek word amethystos translates as ‘not drunken.’ Ancient Greeks saw Amethyst as an
antidote against drunkenness. In Greek mythology, Dionysius, the god of wine, was angered by
an insult from a mortal and swore revenge on the next mortal that crossed his path, creating fierce
tigers to carry out his wish. Amethyst, a beautiful young maiden, was on her way to pay tribute to
the goddess Diana. Diana turned Amethyst into a statue of pure crystalline quartz to protect her
from the tiger claws. Dionysus wept tears of wine in remorse for his action at the sight of the
beautiful statue, which stained the quartz purple, creating the Amethyst gemstone.
In holistic medicine Amethyst is used to treat insomnia, headaches, nervousness and digestive
problems. Amethyst is said to have a balancing effect on the production of hormones. It aids in
detoxifying the body, boosts the immune system, and may have a clarifying effect on the
bioelectric field of the body, thus reducing electromagnetic pollution.

The Amethyst Comb was created with the intent of increasing the power of the Third Eye, the brow
chakra that is connected to the pituitary gland, which represents the attunement with one’s
highest guidance and intentions. During energy balancing work the Amethyst Comb may be used
to enhance especially the connections of the Third Eye center to all other chakras.
Our clients and customers have shared that the Amethyst Comb had a powerful and stimulating

6. THE BLUE LACE AGATE GEMCOMB – MASTER ENERGY OF TRUTH
Blue Lace Agate is the Stone of Truth. It is part of the
agate stone family, which consists of semi-crystalline
quartz stones. It is one of the oldest stones we know of,
ancient civilizations used it as well as the Egyptians. It
serves to protect from stress, negative energies and inner
anxieties. In general agate stones bring stability.
Blue lace agate activates and opens the 5th chakra of communication. This gemstone comb helps
us to say the right words in the right time beyond any blockages and in the name of the truth. Its
airy energy visible in its cloudy markings on a blue-sky background reminds us to breathe
consciously and it radiates peace, quiet, patience and wisdom.
The healing properties of agate have been reported to be beneficial in alleviating headaches,
stomach upsets, eye and skin disorders, infections, fever, and emotional imbalances. Blue lace
agate is being used to heal neck, throat and thyroid conditions.

We chose the Blue Lace Agate because we needed a blue comb to complete the ‘Gembow’ and
blue was missing and because Agate is a must-have stone for Gemstone lovers.

7. THE ROSE QUARTZ GEMCOMB - MASTER ENERGY OF LOVE
Rose Quartz is the Stone of Love. It has the ability to
clear negativity (anger, resentment, jealousy, fear) and
instill feelings of self-worth, self-confidence, self-love
and inner calm.
Rose Quartz is an important stone for times of
emotional stress (separation, loss of a loved one and,
for example, a challenging career change). Its light pink soft frequency attracts angelic energies
and encourages fidelity and fertility. Rose Quartz invites love. It is the most suitable stone for
babies and children. Historically, Rose Quartz has been used for many centuries as a gemstone in
ornamental and religious objects.
In holistic medicine Rose Quartz is used to improve cardiovascular health, fertility, headaches,
migraines and sexual dysfunction, as well as the health of throat, ears, nose and sinuses. It also
may strengthen the kidneys and the circulatory system and help with the release of toxins.

8. THE JADE GEMCOMB - MASTER ENERGY OF BALANCE
Jade is the Stone of Balance. It is said to bless
everything it touches. It invokes wisdom, peace,
harmony and devotion to one's higher purpose.
Since at least 2950 BC, green jade has been
treasured in China as the royal gemstone, yu. In
Central America, green Jade was also sacred to the
Olmecs, the Mayans and the Toltecs, who used it
for ornamentation and carved it into jewelry and sacred artifacts like statues and masks.
In holistic medicine Jade is thought very beneficial to the heart in that it may balance the circulatory
system and increase the quality of the blood. It is known to have a curative power alleviating people
with various forms of kidney and bladder stones.

Key Affirmation: My life energy is strong. I am protected and blessed.
The Jade Comb was created to protect one’s health by strengthening the flow of life energy and to
ground the person deeply into their body and onto the earth, while maintaining a strong link to the
higher planes of thought and inspiration.
In holistic healing work the cooling vibration of the Jade Comb may be used to balance the flow of
life energy and the blood especially by drawing the Jade Comb along the bladder and kidney
meridians. In Chinese medicine hair thinning and loss are often considered a result of kidney and
bladder malfunction and the quality of a person’s hair can indicate the quality of blood.
Our customers and clients have reported that the Jade Comb has a very centering and calming
effect. It feels to them as if the Jade Comb strengthened the connection to the physical body.
In the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, a Jade Comb plays a specific role in the relationship
of the protagonists.

9. THE TIGER EYE GEMCOMB - MASTER ENERGY OF POWER
Tiger Eye is the Stone of Power. The Tiger Eye Comb
is connected to the Solar Plexus, the energy center
below the middle of the chest and is destined to assist
this area to shine as strongly as the sun. The solar
plexus is not a chakra; it is a large plexus of
sympathetic nerves in the abdomen behind the
stomach. In energy medicine, the Solar Plexus is the
area where we most likely store the big issues in our lives. It is our weak spot, which can be
experienced during physical and verbal fighting. Perhaps this explains why Tiger Eye historically, for
example by Roman Soldiers has been used for protection. Tiger Eye is a perfect travel stone on
your way to other places and times (past lives) and can provide energy and persistence.
Tiger Eye also belongs to the navel chakra, which is locate two finger’s width above the navel. The
navel chakra, the Hara, the middle of the body is the point of power.
Tiger Eye could also be called the stone of confidence and wealth. It serves well as a travel stone. It
may increase energy and stamina. Wealth derives from an old English Word and means wellbeing.
Here, we refer to wealth as a state of having enough, a plentiful supply of resources and talents.
Tiger Eye may assist in tapping into the inner resources, which create abundance in life.
Medically, Tiger Eye can be used for vision problems and stomach disorders and can have a
balancing effect on blood pressure and heart conditions.
Tiger Eye is said to allow for more clarity, insights and psychic visual abilities to come forth. Feel
the soothing and wealthy energy of this gemstone comb.

10. THE ROTE JASPIS GEMCOMB - MASTER ENERGY OF CREATIVITY
Red Jasper is the Stone of Creativity. Its red color
derives from natural silica and symbolizes our
blood, the blood of the Earth and Africa, where it is
found. Red Jasper is said to have invigorating and
stabilizing properties. Red Jasper makes the stable
and vibrant energy of the Earth mother visible. Red
Jasper prompts action and fosters stillness, peace and the deep assurance of being supported.
The Red Jasper Gemcomb is related to the second chakra, the center of creativity and sexuality.
In Gemstone therapy it is used to alleviate depression, balance problems of the blood, digestion,
bladder and nervous system. It is said that it can ease the pain of childbirth and be used for
protection by increasing one’s own energy shield. Furthermore red jasper promotes deep
relaxation, balanced sexuality, strengthens will power and enables to carry out conflicts.

MASTER ENERGY OF BIRTH
Snowflake Obsidian is the Stone of Duality, Birth and
Rebirth. On psychological level Snowflake Obsidian
reminds us to flow, to expand and let change beautify and
empower us. It mirrors us our shadow side so we can heal
and integrate the different parts of our being. As the fast
cooling of volcanic lava forms the Obsidian, the Snowflake
Obsidian Comb is energized with creative currents, which
wash out restrictive negative patterns and thoughts. The energy of the Snowflake Obsidian is very
powerful and some sensitive people might have an initial sensation of fearing or resisting this stone.
Obsidian has been formed into sharp points, arrowheads and knives from the Stone Age on.
However, it also has been used for mirrors, masks, ear ornaments and divination practices. In ancient
Egypt it was used as inlays in artifacts, for example as the eyes of their statues.

we use this particular comb on our head hair and auric field, we may get in touch with our most
important needs and instead of reacting with anger, because we perceive them as missing, we
learn to acknowledge them and ask life to answer them.
The Black Obsidian Gemcomb belongs to the energy field below the first chakra and has a
connection to the black earthstar, the core of the earth. It helps us with letting go of what is dead
within us. The time, when I heard the calling to have the Obsidian Comb made came a few months
after the Snowflake Obsidian Comb, picking up the clearing and cleaning of what still needed to be
transformed.

13. CONNECTING WITH YOUR GEMCOMB
The personal connection process is intended to maximize the Gemcomb’s effect as well as to put it
under your protection. Holding the Gemcomb in your hands is the simplest means to strengthen the
bond. Some people choose to give their Gemcomb a name in order to personalize it just as people
give names to their plants and pets or cars. Others visualize the Gemcomb being linked to an angel,
a deity or a spirit.
For ultimate performance tools become part of the person using them. When a painter becomes one
with his paintbrush, magic happens on the canvas. Gemstones are almost exclusively carved into
artifacts or worn as jewelry; rarely are they made into tools, which gives the Gemcombs specific
significance. The Gemstone Combs are artifacts; like jewelry they can be worn in a pouch on the
body; primarily they are tools. Every tool serves the refinement and improvement of a process. Of
course we could mix up the contents of a skillet by shaking the skillet, but a stirring spoon, which we
use, clock or counterclockwise, makes the process much easier. The Gemcomb can comb, guide
and align hair as well as the energies of the subtle bodies, lines and fields much easier than a stone.
Care
Treat your Gemstone Comb like a friend. Stones are life forms similar to plants, animals, nature
beings or even angels. Clean the Comb when dirt accumulates between its teeth. Soak it in soapy
water (cold to warm temperature) and use a small soft brush, then rinse under cold running water.
Cleanse the Comb energetically when you feel it to be necessary by immersing it in water (in a bowl
or in the ocean), sea salt, earth or the smoke of sage. The Comb can be placed on a salt bed. You
can hold it under running water (faucet, waterfall) or let it bathe in sun- or moonlight. Gems and
crystals also have self-cleansing powers and don’t need to be cleansed all the time. Use your
intuition.
When you take your Gemcomb out of its pouch for the first time,
you could rinse it under flowing cold water for about a minute
and dry it gently with a soft cloth. The intention of this simple
action is to cleanse the Gemstone Comb from the transport. You
can keep your Gemcomb inside its pouch or you can place it
under a protective or energy enhancing structure like a pyramid.
The Gemcombs also need quiet and darkness to regenerate.
Crystals grow deep in the earth and darkness is their ‘home.’
One suggestion is to keep them under black silk or cotton cloth
or inside their boxes. Once in a while you can even cover your
Combs with earth and let them rest and rejuvenate for a while in their ‘natural habitat.’

Photographic Revelations
A Gemcomb friend brought to my attention that photos of the Gemcombs show images and
symbols, which me might miss when looking at them in our hands. The photo of my house crystal
in the beginning of the book is such an example. Before I took this picture I hadn’t noticed the
dancing angel in it. Sometimes I take pictures of the Gemcombs so that customers can study them.
Often they find little faces or symbols, which make them decide for a Gemcomb.
Meditation
In order to meditate with your Gemcomb sit or lie down and empty your mind. Create a space in
which you can peacefully receive visual, auditory and kinesthetic information about the origins,
symbolism and potential of the Gemstone Comb you are holding in your hand or which you place
on different parts of your body.
Communication
From my perspective communication between human and stone is possible. For many years now I
am collecting stories about people relating to stones and jewelry. People feel drawn to a specific
stone or gem. They find, loose, then find them again, keep them as companions in pants pockets
and under the pillow. Holding a stone in one’s hand is such an elemental sensation often described
as soothing or strengthening. Some people experience the communication as if the stone emits a
message, which is then heard, seen or felt. People also talk to stones and address them with their
intentions. Have you had a special experience with a stone or a gemstone?
Channeling
This is a form of communication, where a being opens itself for the message of another being and
tries to transmit it as clear and loyal as possible. We can open ourselves for the Gemcombs in
general, for each one individually and for each one, which is personally dedicated to us, to ‘channel’
their message.
When I write about the Gemcombs, I often have the feeling to give the Gemcombs a voice and to
channel their message. Here is a New Year’s Message, which really fits to every New Year.

Combing your hair with the Gemcomb
The Gemcomb’s essential purpose is to be an uplifting, balancing and energizing tool. It requires
gentle handling and is not meant to replace the detangling process your usual brush or comb provides
for you. When you comb your hair with the Gemcomb and you feel resistance, stop, detangle your
hair, and then continue very carefully. Comb your hair. Comb your aura, the energetic field that
surrounds you.
Enjoy the Sound and Beauty of the Gemcomb
Simply glide the Gemcomb through or over your hair. Its magical sound is an experience by itself.
Adorn your bathroom or sanctuary with this symbol of love, order and caring. Gemstones are beautiful
to look at.
Protect yourself with your Gemcombs from Electromagnetic Pollution
Gemcombs can be used to comb electromagnetic energy out of our field. Gemcombs can also divert
electromagnetic energy from electric appliances including computers. I like having a Gemcomb
between the computer and me with the Gemcomb’s teeth showing towards the computer basically
reinforcing my energy field and making
me less receptive for the radiation
emitting from the machine.
Gemcomb Feng Shui
I place my Gemcombs strategically around my house or
where I spend a lot of time. When I feel protected in my
home I like to place the Gemcombs on the windowsill with
their teeth showing inside the house transmitting the
powerful energies of nature, sun, moon and the stars. When
I have the need for feeling more protected I turn them
around so that the teeth show towards the outside.
Travelling with the Gemcomb
Stones help us to get centered, to become still and especially during flying they connect us with the
Earth. Any Gemcomb can be a wonderful and also useful travel companion.

Gemcombs in the Healing Practice
The Gemcombs are creating their own form of therapy and a description of its components follows.
Furthermore, the Gemcombs can be combined with various other therapies and healing practices. I
selected methods which I am familiar with and will highlight the connections.
Before I start a Gemcomb treatment I ask the clients how they are doing, if they are in pain and what
they like to focus on during the treatment.
Whether you work with the Gemcomb on yourself or another person, the basic intentional healing
movements are:
Combing - Caressing - Singing - Dancing – Loving
Energizing - Strengthening- Nurturing
Balancing –Healing
Clearing - Extracting
Opening
Activating – Energizing - Transmitting
Grounding - Connecting with the Earth
Transforming- Beautifying
Combing: I like to start the treatment with combing the person’s hair and from there I move into the
field and to the physical body. Of course, you can also do it the other way around. Combing hair has
a deeply calming and relaxing effect.
Energizing: I place the combs with the teeth showing towards the direction, where the energy should
flow.
Balancing: Hair Balancing practitioners can follow the Hair Balancing Matrix with the Gemcombs to
infuse crystal energy into the cutting lines. Another form of balancing is combing from one side of
the head/hemisphere to the other in back and forth crossing motions.
Opening: I pull the Gemcomb like the jets of a fountain in the four directions starting at the area of
the crown chakra.
Clearing: The movements pull energy away from the person either in slow motion or fast and
decisive. It always reminds me of sweeping and cleaning the house.
Activating: Many times I have opened box of wings inside the shoulder area and freed the angel’s
wings, comb them smooth and help them to spread out.
Grounding: Combing downwards to the ground and then holding the teeth of the Gemcomb pointing
at the center of the earth is a very effective move. I imagine I plant the teeth into the earth just like I
stick pegs into the ground when putting up a tent.
Beautifying: I like using the Gemcombs in the face and glide over wrinkles. The relaxation is part of a
natural Gemcomb facelift.

On the photo to the left, two Rose Quartz Gemcombs are placed on the heart chakra and the
Gemcomb therapist uses two Snow Quartz Gemcombs with a gentle balancing movement in the
auric field.
In the photo below the Blue Lace Agate Gemcomb is placed on the mouth. I like using this
Gemcomb to release tension and trauma from the jaw/mouth area. Here the intention was to
deepen communication.
The Gemcombs help us to experience how strongly we are
connected to our intuition and healing power. At our Gemcomb
events participants
are always surprised
to find out that they
knew what to do. It is
as if behind every
Gemcomb there is a
power, which can be
perhaps imagined as
an angel or the
essence of the stone.
This force moves when it wants to be moved and stays neutral if
not.
Inspired by my work as a holistic hair practitioner I always enter the energy field of a client in a
gentle way and apply and place the Gemcombs consciously and slowly. Gemcomb treatments can
be given and received in different positions. A one-minute treatment can be refreshing and
effective and two hours can be deeply healing and relaxing. We can be flexible and sometimes less
is more.
Sitting Position
When the client is sitting, it is best for the practitioner to stand and work with the Gemcomb in the
head area. The auric field can easily opened and cleansed. The practitioner can bend to stroke
along the hands, arms and legs. If the client is sitting on a stool his back is free, otherwise the
chakras and meridians running along the back are covered. The straighter the body posture the
easier it is to increase the flow of energy.

These photos show how I cleanse the aura after balancing a client’s hair on the Big Island. In the
middle picture I am stretching the Quartz Crystal Gemcomb out towards the ocean and thank the
water for its support. The incoming waves are bringing energy and the outgoing stream takes, what
no longer serves my client.
Standing Position
When the client is standing we need more room so we can make more generous movements in the
energy field. We can intensify the flow of energy through the body through up and down
movements when the body is not bent into a seating position. This position is especially wonderful
for working in nature. When we have enough space we can start the Gemcomb 3-300 yards away.
The further away we work in the auric field, the older memories and traumas we can mend and
balance.
Laying Down Position
It is most relaxing and safe to work close to the floor. Then we can place the Gemcombs without
concern around the body and onto the body. Working on the ground is most grounding! I use
massage tables for people who cannot lie down on the floor. Then I use the Gemcombs only with
my hand and am very careful when placing them, so they cannot fall or glide off.
Here is a Gemcomb friend at the beach. The intention for this
treatment was that she wanted to be more in contact and
communication with her spirit guides and the elemental beings.
Together with them she wanted to live more creatively. I placed the
Amethyst Gemcomb onto her third eye. Activating this center helps
perceiving spirit helpers. The Blue Lace Agate Gemcomb is placed
on her throat chakra to reinforce communication. The Rose Quartz
Gemcomb stimulated the connection to heart and the Red Jasper
Gemcomb unleashes creativity.

Aura Combing and Light Work
The aura is the electromagnetic field, which surrounds the body. The hair connects the physical
with the auric body. Use the Gemcomb as an Aura comb while holding it so it doesn’t touch the
body directly.
In general, an upward combing movement from ground level to the height of the head gives
strength. The downward movement takes excess energy out, which is beneficial if a person needs
to relax. The Gemcomb can be used with a sweeping motion to clear the aura and also to pull out
anything, which no longer serves the individual. Start at the feet, ‘scoop’ the energy up towards
shoulder/head level and then with strength pull the excess energy away.
The health of hair, scalp and the whole body can be improved when working on the aura or the light
body. There is a difference between the aura and the light body. I understand the aura as the
energy field, which surrounds the body. The aura is connected to the physical body especially
through the hair and the chakras and can expand infinitely. Most commonly, the aura has the size of
an egg, which surrounds the human being with his arms and legs stretched out. The aura can
vibrate in different colors and shades. Energy flows through it and the aura can house memories
and beings.
The aura can reflect spontaneous feelings and emotions and therefore visually change very quickly.
The aura can also show patterns and imprints, which are constantly present or last for a long time.
The light body is described in different religions and spiritual traditions as a subtle body, which is
connected to the physical body but can also distance itself from it. The light body can be its own
entity. The light body serves as a vehicle for astral travel and can be perceived in the aura.
The following paragraph describing the light body (Kryon channeled through Patrizia Alexandra
Pfister channeled and formulated by Ingeborg Wirkus) can help us if we want to work with the
Gemcombs on our light body:
Us humans have a physical, cosmic and galactic light body. The physical light body surrounds our
body like our skin layer by layer in the colors of the rainbow. The colors of these layers correspond
with the colors of our chakras plus a few additional ones, which have been activated for this day
and age. The layers begin with red, blue-green, orange, yellow, green, pink, blue, copper, violet,
white, silver, aquamarine, gold, magenta, pink and starlight. Every layer corresponds to specific
themes. All these layers can store old pains, interruptions or blockages from this or another life.
During the work on the light body these can be removed, new conduits can be activated and the
chakras can be revitalized so that the light body experiences a complete healing or overhaul, which
has an impact on our physical body, our behavior and consciousness. The healthy blueprint can
unfold and access to the full potential is restored.

Reconnective Healing
In 1993, the American chiropractor Dr. Eric Pearl discovered and developed the healing method
Reconnective Healing. Reconnective Healing is right after Hair Balancing my favorite type of healing
practice and I enjoy several refresher session per year. Reconnective Healing is similar to Hair
Balancing and Gemcomb therapy in that the actual healing work takes place in the aura of the
patient. The energy frequency transmitted through the therapist’s hand movements, through
drawing of lines in the field, placing the hands on the person towards the end of the session and
through eye contact are programmed to activate the self-healing abilities of the individual.
My family and I have experienced many different forms of healing and upliftment. I highly
recommend Dr. Pearls book The Reconnection especially because reading this book has already a
healing and ‘reconnecting’ effect. Reconnective Healing practitioners offer Reconnective healing
sessions and two special sessions following each other closely called ‘The Reconnection.’ During
those two sessions the individual’s energy field is aligned with the energy field of the earth and the
universe. I will always cherish the memory of my then nine-year-old daughter, as she jumped of the
massage table after her second Reconnection session. She ran around the table several times as
fast as she could, radiating, laughing as if her aura was all of a sudden free of old armors. That was
the moment when she had changed from a more introverted personality to an extraverted one.
In the book Bringers of the Dawn by Barbara Marciniak, published many years before Eric Pearl’s
discovery, she channels the message from the Pleiadians, who are the star people, which are
viewed as sources in the Hawai’ian huna tradition. They refer to very similar healing methods, where
frequencies and vibrations are used to activate self-healing and the connection with one another.
The Gemcombs are connected to the teaching of the Pleiadians in that they are supportive tools
with the same intention of healing and increasing frequencies.

Chakra Balancing
Chakras are spinning energy centers located along our body. There are seven major chakras
anchored to our physical body by their corresponding glands, and over twenty minor chakras, some
of which are located in the soles of our feet, palms of our hands, at our knees and elbows, above our
head and crown chakra, and below our root chakra. You can energize, balance and clear the chakras
of your body with the help of a Gemcomb. You can lay the Gemcomb on a chakra to cleanse or
charge it. Point the teeth upwards or downwards, to guide the energy flow.
After a haircut the calming influence of the Gemcomb is especially effective on a person’s upper
chakras. Scissors ‘cut’ through the circular flow of the chakras. The suggested movement with the
Gemstone Comb is comparable to ‘turning a knob’ or ‘opening the lock of a safe.’ Turn it clock and
counterclockwise and feel what seems to be more of a flow. You can also use the Gemcomb with the
intention to comb everything out of the chakras, which hinders their optimal functioning. I
recommend a turning movement that draws away from the chakra into the field.
Every Gemcomb can be used for Chakra Balancing and for each chakra. Your personal intuition and
guidance is always the last authority. This list can serve as a starting point.

communicate the result verbally or write it down and the recipient evaluates, if the message makes
sense and resonates with his question.

The Meridian- and Acupuncture System
You can draw the Gemcomb along the meridians as if it is a pen, with the
intention to stimulate the flow of energy and dissolve potential blockages.
Stimulate specific points by touching the teeth of the comb lightly onto the
scalp or, if you wish, onto other body points. This is a great balancing
practice after a person has received a haircut to balance the flow of energy,
which has been disturbed by the cutting lines, or during any bodywork
session.

Homeopathy
In homeopathy substances mostly derived from the mineral-, plant-, and animal kingdom are
highly diluted and potentized and then prescribed according to the law of similar (let like be cured
by like). Homeopathy has blessed my life and accompanied me on my healing and personal
growth journey since I was 17 years old. Through studying homeopathy I learned to see a
painting, a photo, a plant, which grows in front of my house and of course the gemstones as
homeopathic vibrations.
Some gemstones have already been triturated into homeopathic remedies. When a new or
relatively unknown remedy is tested, a group of homeopaths and students take the remedy not
knowing (except one person) which one it is. Then all symptoms, experiences, and dreams are
noted and compared. The most common themes these provers gather, create or contribute to the
remedy’s profile.
A group of 42 provers at the Homeopathy School in Colorado proved the remedy ‘Amethyst’ over
a period of five years. These are the results: dreams of caves, rooms filled with people, high and
low levels, openings with light, extreme clarity, feeling of being drunken, excessive mental energy.
The list of physical symptoms included: headache, female symptoms, disorders of the nervous
system. Key words: clarity, confusion, headache, susceptibility for environmental pollution.
If we compare the results of this study with experiences from gemstone therapy and the mythology
of the amethyst stone, we can see a lot of similarities. From the perspective of homeopathy,
gemstones and the Gemcombs hold and send out specific vibrations. I can imagine that the
Gemcombs correspond with one or several homeopathic remedies and from another angle can
also support a homeopathic treatment.

Ayurveda
The Ayurveda health system is based on the three ‘Doshas’ (elements) Vata, Pitta and Kapha. The
charts, which I compiled, are meant to be an invitation to experiment and add personal experiences.
To me the Gemcombs are calming, representing the element Kapha. Vata belongs to the element
wind and I have a lot of Vata in me and in my life, alone through the amount of traveling I do. The fact
that I take stones, which have rested for thousands of years and move them into a form that swings
and dances in the hands of the practitioner in the energy field of people is a combination of Kapha
and Vata. Pitta energy translated into Gemcomb energy is focused and activating. The comb’s teeth
show towards a result. When a person has a lot of Vata, I tend to simply lay the Gemcombs on them
or near them. When a person has pain or blockages I let the Gemcombs be moved.

Craniosacral Therapy
The Gemcombs can support a craniosacral treatment energetically in that the therapist puts the
Gemcombs onto the client’s body or in his hand. The therapist can also take the Gemcomb in
her hand and apply it on the areas of concern with the comb’s teeth showing towards it and the
smooth part lying on the body. The Gemcomb represents additional energy and tension can be
resolved with its help. This requires that the therapist is well connected (molten) with the tissue
and can feel how the energy flows through the Gemcomb into the tissue and then how the
tension, which are released flows into the surrounding field.
Aromatherapy
There are many possibilities to combine the effects of aromatherapy oils and the Gemcombs.
Anointment
I love anointing a single Gemcomb with one drop of pure essential oil, which is enough for both
sides. When I use the anointed Gemcomb for example comb my hair then the power of the plant
essence combined with the power of the gemstone spreads out into my energy field. Two
kingdoms are connected and unified. The anointments can serve together with a specific
intention, used for or as an initiation. The oil and Gemcomb can purify and charge each other
with information.
Which oil and which Gemcomb go together?
There are no limits to our intuition, guidance, and
creativity. The chart below is based on similarities
(color), which chakra is stimulated by certain scents,
which oils serve hair and skin best and my personal
preferences. I also added flower and plants, which may
support or resonate with the Gemcombs visually and
energetically.
I learned that pure frankincense oil has the highest
‘masculine’ and pure rose oil the highest ‘feminine’
vibration of all essences. Pure lotus oil smells quite
musky. The lotus flower has a beautiful opening and is rooted in mud, which is why I assigned it
to the Quartz Crystal and Black Obsidian Gemcomb.
Many years ago I smelt the aromatherapy essence of the Iris flower for the first time. It was an
unforgettable experience of a very high, tender and yet strong energy. Primavera has this
essence in its selection. It is so gentle that I assigned it to the Snow Quartz Gemcomb. Ylang
Ylang and Jasmine can have an opening effect on our crown area and vibrate with the color
frequency white.

Lavender fits to the Amethyst Gemcomb not only because of its color but also because of its
calming properties. The Blue Lace Agate Gemcomb requires a scent, which connects us with the
truth and the chakra of communication. The clarity of Mint, Blue Cypress and Geranium feels
appropriate. My favorite Rose essence is Rose Ruh from India. All other Rose essences feel just as
home with the Rose Quartz Gemcomb.
Green scents support the cooling energy of the Jade Gemcomb. The surface of the Tiger Eye
Gemcomb shines like golden silk resembling liquid sandalwood as well as the bark of the
sandalwood tree. Vanilla is a sweet and soft scent, which works well for my Solar Plexus. Karo
Karunde is a spicy and intense scent from Africa, where the Red Jasper Gemcomb comes from.
Scents made from roots connect us with our roots. An aromatherapy essence, which helps
alleviating pain like cedar wood, supports the Snowflake Obsidian Gemcomb.
Spray Bottles
I prefer using aromatherapy essences undiluted and not mixed with other scents with one
Gemcomb at a time. However, alchemists among us please play and invent amazing combinations.
As an alternative I make my own aromatherapy bottles with pure water and a drop of essential oil.

Systemic Constellation Work
In some therapeutic situations I am using the Gemcombs. Here is an example of an effective
Gemcomb intervention. My client’s grandfather had died and she was grieving his death and the
fact that he never overcame his disappointment over her sexual orientation (she chose a female life
partner) and her not having children. After a consultation and constellation phase the client laid on
the floor and I placed six black Obsidian Gemcombs with their teeth pointing outward around her.
The intention was that the old, the disappointment, the family secrets could flow out of her field.
Around the oval shape layout I placed six Rose Quartz Gemcombs with their teeth pointing towards
her. This symbolized the flow of love from her grandfather, the love of life and the love for herself.
The client experienced this Gemcomb constellation as a healing and a reiief.
Children
Most children love gemstones and really all children I brought in
contact with the Gemcombs, were fascinated by them and treated
them carefully and lovingly like precious treasures. Surely, young
children have to learn how breakable strong and beautiful stones can
be. I like to ask children, which Gemcomb speaks to them and their
answers are straight and clear. Most children enjoy having their hair
gently combed with a Gemcomb.

Children can be natural and potential Gemcomb therapists. Often I
observed and experienced how intuitive, gentle and clear children will
work with the Gemcombs on other people. Once during a Gemcomb
evening in Los Angeles six women came and brought her three-year-old daughter along. I offered
to entertain the little girl so that the six women could partner up. But the girl wanted to comb too,
grabbed the Snow Quartz Gemcomb and combed my aura for at least ten minutes in a state of
reverence and concentration. It was an outstanding treatment, which heightened my frequency by a
whole octave it seemed.

Animals
Also animals are magically attracted by Gemcombs. Several pet
owners have reported how their animal friends come close
wanting to have their fur combed. There are also a few animals
around, who own their own Gemcombs! A donkey in Santa
Barbara received a Snowflake Obsidian Gemcomb to ease
arthritic pain. Ninivee, one of my favorite dog ladies has her own
black Obsidian Gemcomb, which creates a striking contrast to
her fur color. Here the Red Jasper Gemcomb is touching her.
I meditated about connections between the Gemcombs and the
animal world and put together a chart based on obvious similarities and analogies. Please feel free
to supplement this list. I offered Gemcombs to the dolphins and whales as representatives of their
group. The other animals will receive their Gemcombs when a Gemcomb friend or I have a chance
to make the offering.

15. ASTROLOGICAL REFERENCE CHARTS AND INTERPRETATION
Using the Gemcombs may reinforce corresponding planetary energies and can balance and
complement the dominant energies of a person’s chart. We assigned the ten Gemcombs to the
twelve sun signs by researching which planetary energy matches each individual gemstone. This may
serve as an orientation when choosing one’s first or special Gemcomb. It does not mean that a
person’s sun sign alone determines which Gemcomb to use. A Taurus sun sign person might be
drawn to the Amethyst Gemcomb, because of other aspects in the chart, for example Venus in
Pisces or Neptune in the first house. Then he can activate and express this particular energy by using
the Amethyst Gemcomb. Another example would be a sun sign Leo individual who has mostly fire in
his chart. Any Gemcomb could help him to activate the element earth, because that is the

Snow Quartz looks milky and moon-like. Heavenly mother’s milk, unconditional love, the purity
and innocence of a newborn are associated with this stone, which is ruled by the MOON. Its
fuzzier appearance, compared to the Quartz crystal, corresponds to NEPTUNE and symbolizes
the merging with higher metaphysical realms.
Quartz Crystal Gemcomb
Clear stones have the highest light quality and are related to the SUN. The sunrays break through
the crystal into rainbows. Quartz crystal is the most important of all healing stones, as it carries
the highest consciousness, represented by the sun. Quartz crystal symbolizes our growth
process. It is cloudy on the bottom and becomes clearer towards its point. Quartz crystal has six
sides plus the tip as the seventh point, which relates it to the 7th chakra, the crown chakra. Quartz
is related to SATURN because of its clarity. Each clear stone carries Saturn qualities. It is a
manifestation of light and perfect crystallization and stimulates mental capacities. MERCURY is
the planet of communication. Computer chips are based on quartz to store information. The

Amethyst Gemcomb
In some chakra systems amethyst is actually linked to the crown chakra. This reinforces its
connection to NEPTUNE, which stands for transcendence and total opening. Amethyst is the ideal
meditation stone and assists in increasing one’s intuition. MARS belongs to the Amethyst Gemcomb
first of all because of its color. Red is contained in purple. With amethyst the energy transcendents
the ego-identification and survival mechanism and connects the self with the energy of wisdom. The
energy of the Amethyst Gemcomb helps to realize visions. JUPITER represents the expanding
principle, the search for wisdom, the soul-self and visions. Jupiter energy helps us to find our
intentions, because he promotes a deep connection with what is important to us. CHIRON is
represented through the healing ‘vacuum cleaner’ effect of the amethyst. Amethyst absorbs
negativity. If you have ever put your hands into an amethyst geode, you may have felt its purifying
effect.
Blue Lace Agate Gemcomb
There is a special lightness to this Gemcomb.™ The love in the heart has been already integrated and
our communication comes from self-appreciation. The Blue Lace Agate Gemcomb™ helps us to

Rose Quartz Gemcomb

VENUS is associated with the colors pink, yellow and green. The colors of the heart chakra are pink
and green. Therefore all green stones are related to the heart and have the power to balance the

many kinds of Jade available. Translucent jade from Burma, also called Imperial Jade is the most rare
and valuable one. In some cultures, for example in China and Pre-Columbia, Jade was more valued
than gold. Jade’s exceptional toughness made it ideal to be carved into instruments. The Canadian
Jade we use for this comb belongs to the family of Jadeit. Jade does not share the hexagonal
structure of the quartz family. It consists of many fine crystals, called monoclinic. JUPITER is also
associated with green and helps to be compassionate and patient in regards to the inner healing.

light, which emanates from this stone, is the light, which enters our body through the crown chakra.
JUPITER is related to the Tiger Eye Gemcomb,™ as it is the planet of wealth and is connected to the
colors green, gold, orange and yellow. Gold symbolizes wealth, so do smooth and shiny textures

Red Jasper Gemcomb
The planet connected with this Gemcomb™ is MARS, foremost because of its red-brown color. Mars
is action oriented, grounding, related to the 2nd chakra, energizes and brings up the energy and
therefore, we can use this comb to get into doing and acting. When there are black veins in the
Gemcomb,™ Saturn and Pluto are represented. When there are crystals embedded, Saturn and the

Snowflake Obsidian Gemcomb
This stone expresses the first step of our evolutionary journey out of the root chakra into duality. As a

16. THE GEMCOMB MATRIX
Creation of a Company
Back then, I didn’t foresee that the creation of the first comb carved out of Rose Quartz would
eventually lead to a business venture. I took the Rose Quartz Comb everywhere I went and combed
thousands of people’s hair and aura with it. It was my most precious possession and continued to
touch my heart, every time I looked at it, felt it in my hands and used it. People loved it and some
inquired where they could find such a special comb. So I started to search for someone who could
produce gemstone combs and found a family, who has been in the mining business for a long time
in the South of Germany.
Gemstones are created in the depth of the Earth. To create combs out of gemstones I am taking
something from the earth, changing it into another form and then distribute and sell it. A lot of
professions, especially those that deal with food and waste stand in direct relationship to the Earth
and how we treat her. Crystals don’t grow on trees like fruits, which fall down, when they are ripe.
The ‘harvesting’ process is much more dramatic and brings about a different kind of responsibility.
Does our world need Gemcombs? Being responsible means to me that I ask myself if it is justified
to harvest and distribute gemstones. How are they taken out of the earth and how are they
handled? Is this process supporting life? Right now I am hearing a yes and life supports the
development. I will continue to ask and as long as I am hearing a yes and the positive feedback
from Gemcomb friends, the Gemcomb matrix will expand.

Offering of the Jade Gemcomb to Quan Yin on Sunday February 26th, 2006 in the village of Halawa
on the Big Island, Hawaii in the Temple of the Kohala Tong Wo Society established in 1886.
On my first visit to the North Kohala Coast one and a half years ago, my friend Padma brought my
attention to the Tong Wo Temple which is only a few minutes away from her home. There is a
special shrine in there for Quan Yin, she told me. This was one of the first Taoist temples, which
would allow women to enter and the Chinese immigrants who lived nearby would come to pray for
fertility and abundant rice. A year later on one of my visits, on the way to the airport, we drove by
and the temple gate was open, which was a rare occasion. The caretaker was very friendly and
allowed us to enter. The energy in that temple was sweet, exquisite and sacred. We could have
spent hours enveloped in the ambience. I asked if I could offer the Jade Comb to Quan Yin in her
shrine and my wish was granted. Then half a year later, my friends Padma, Alyse, Diana and I
participated in the prayer and offering. We felt the presence of Quan Yin down to the core of our
being, such deep love and peace. The Jade Comb had arrived at its new home on February 26,
2006 in the village of Halawa, Hawaii in the Temple of the Kohala Tong Wo Society, which was
established in the year 1886.
Prayer
We humbly bow before your all-loving heart, Goddess of Mercy and ask for your most powerful
blessing. Please accept us as your daughters. Please strengthen us in our compassion, femininity
and creativity. Today we are making a special offering. This comb carved out of Jade is destined to
harmonize, empower and balance the hair and energy field of many souls. Please take this ancient

creation to the fulfillment of its purpose. Dearest Quan Yin, with great gratitude do we reside in your

The Tiger Eye Gemcomb is dedicated to the Indian Goddess Durga. The goddesses Durga and Kali
are mostly depicted in literature as two similar goddesses or two aspects of one goddess. Durga is
characterized by her power and courage. She rides a lion or tiger and preserves universal balance,
while Kali destroys it. Both are warrior goddesses and have the common goal to destroy everything,
which is not conducive to life. The connection of the goddesses with the Gemcombs can support
any type of transformation, be it an ego, which is too weak or too strong or fears of all kind.
The Red Jasper used for the combs comes from Africa and with great thankfulness, I ask for the
blessing of Mother Earth, also called Gaia and one of her representatives the African Goddess
Mawu, who symbolizes responsibility for our environment and who asks us to give back to the

The Black Obsidian Gemcomb is dedicated to Kali, Lord Shiva’s

destroying principle of life) and helps to transmute the fear of
death.
Kali represents the mother, who is outraged and destroys the dark powers so that her children can
live in peace. We can ask her with the help of the comb to take anything that has died, is not alive
and is denying life.
Often when I host Gemcomb gatherings I begin with a meditation. Each participant draws a comb,
without knowing which one it is. Twice, participants who pulled the Black Obsidian Gemcomb
described visions of the Goddess Kali and felt corresponding intense sensations. Another participant
once had unknowingly the Amethyst Gemcomb in her lap and sensed the presence of the Goddess
Isis.

You my beloved sister, I, Isis greet you from the higher realms and I am so happy, to finally have been
given the opportunity to answer the questions, which were on your mind for weeks of your time
measurement. I love to answer, which connections are there between aromatherapy oils and the
Gemcombs.
Finally it has happened. A new connection took place on your earth: the connection between
gemstones and oils. Perhaps you may say, that this is nothing new and you already combined sacred
oils with gemstones. And yet it is a new connection. Gemstones in the shape of combs open a whole
new dimension. The way they are manufactured by hand, the number of their teeth, which they have
and by being charged with Lemuria’s energy a reconnection took place, which always existed. As my
beloved sister and friend said it already: it is a cosmic marriage, every time when the oil meets the
comb. It is a reactivation of old energies, which belong to one another and develop a power, which is
refined for each individual. This power is not describable with words as it comes from the 6th
dimension.
Everybody who enables this cosmic marriage receives the possibility to elevate his or her
consciousness. Every comb consists out of nine teeth. Each tooth represents a chakra. For women it
is the first to the ninth chakra from left to right, and for the men from right to left. In that sense, the

happen, brings clarity and feminine energy back or activates what is already there.
Now you have access to a powerful instrument to let yourself be carried from the here and now on the
vibrations into the next dimension.
Decide in love for one of these combs, as it will accompany and support you. By lovingly applying the
corresponding oil, your very own potential will be activated and everything, which hinders you, to live
it, will be brought forth and integrated by this cosmic wedding. During this process you will be loved

It is very important to me, to share with you, that this cosmic connection between the combs and the
oils already existed during Lemurian times. You have spent much time to care for yourself and your
human body and to strengthen it. You were aware of the need for subtle care and therefore you
created this wonderful connection. You knew then that hair creates a deep connection to your inner
being and needs special attention. That is why you took the appropriate materials, which were
available in your earthly life to combine physical care with the subtle.

You also used the combs to comb your subtle body free of shadows and entanglements within itself.
The vibration, which the comb carries with the oils, is so high, that it was possible and still is.
And of course, both are helpful tools, which you wouldn’t need if you were in your divinity – and it
makes it easier to reach this state, since while on Earth you are burdened by old experiences, belief
and educational patterns. You forgot to see what is within you and around you. And so the combs and
the oils support you with higher speed, to do this. To become seeing, within yourself, downwards and
upwards – connection in unity. Furthermore it is my desire to thank my beloved friends to make it
possible that those two wonderful tools are available to you. A loving thank you for all the blocks they
had to remove to get to this turning point.
What does it mean when a comb breaks?
Whenever something happens with the comb, whether it falls to the ground or tooth breaks off, it
always has a meaning. If a tooth breaks it is related to the corresponding chakra. When the comb falls
onto the floor or breaks in your purse, it can be an indication of your energetic state.
Just like your children and pets, also the Gemcomb can take on and carry your tension. When it
breaks, it is an act of love for you, in which it released those tensions. So even if it broke, keep this
comb in honor and thank it. Love and bless it. Say good-bye to what you allowed to be released.
Remember what I shared with you earlier. The connection between the combs and the oils is cosmic.
The power is not fathomable with your human mind and as I said earlier, this power supports letting
go of old with high speed.
I can sense that you are still questioning what you call money, what you paid for this comb.
Remember, also money is just energy and so I would be happy if you looked at it from this
perspective. The cosmic law of energy exchange! Enter this energy exchange with gratitude, love and
bless it. I embrace you with my wings – be assured of my love, care and protection, which will always

Examples and comments in regards to the breaking potential of the Gemcombs
In general when combs or anything in the house like dishes breaks, tension is being released. When
something breaks, we have an immediate emotional response. This can help us to understand the
meaning behind the ‘accident’. Sometimes it is relief, sometimes fear, regret, and anger.
A Gemcomb friend combed her hair upside down with the Snowflake Obsidian Gemcomb and it
glided out of her hands and burst into many pieces. With that a wonderful healing occurred. The
Snowflake Obsidian (pain remover) took the woman’s chronic migraine with it and dissolved it while
breaking. Another Gemcomb friend had the following experience.
It is part of my daily ritual to choose intuitively a Gemcomb in the morning and to comb and massage
my hair and scalp. I cleanse my body by combing my aura with the Gemcomb I picked. For many
years now I had a lot of pain in my left hip. The other day I treated my hip with the Amethyst
Gemcomb, which is one of my favorites.

Somehow during the movements I hit the sink and my treasure lost a tooth. Oh, that hurt my soul – but
since then I have no more pain in my hip. It is indescribable.
I thought immediately that the Amethyst sacrificed itself, so that I could be back in balance with my
hip. The Amethyst is not only a great transformer but also a great healer. I am very touched and
grateful. I love Gemcombs. The Amethyst Gemcomb is lying now in a bed of flower blossoms, so that
the wound can heal and then I can glue the tooth back on.
People need to know what is possible and how close we can be in communication with the stone
beings. The fact that the raw Amethysts are dynamited out of the mountains hurts my soul as well. Just
like the first tooth broke off. Do the Amethysts do or allow this for us? Do they accept such a violent
impact? Perhaps there is an alternative for a gentler way of mining the Amethysts. Animals also offer
themselves for people, as food, for further self-development or they even take on sickness. Is this all an
agreement between our souls and the animal beings? There are so many questions. Gabriela B.
In all the years relatively few Gemcombs broke. We must consider that the cutting and polishing of the
stone into the form of a comb goes along with enormous pressure. The transparent stones break
easier and per ‘perfect’ comb at an average one other comb breaks. The most fragile stone is the
Amethyst; the strongest one is the Jade.
Polishing in between the comb’s teeth is the next challenge. The more the stone gets polished, which
is desirable to get the inside smooth, the higher the risk of breaking the whole comb. All broken
combs can be recycled. When Gemcombs break and loose one to five teeth on one of either side, we
polish smaller combs out of them.
Kryon

Mary Magdalene wasn’t just the woman on Jesus’ side.
She is the guardian of the Holy Grail. Jesus called her:

feminine Christ-Energy in perfection. During the Aquarian
Age her energies are available to us in a transformed

Gemcomb Rituals and Ceremonies
When one of my long-time girlfriends visited me for the first time in Hawai’i and I combed her hair
with the Rose Quartz comb, it felt to her as if she had entered a different time and reality. She saw
us in Polynesia surrounded by women, who supported each other in beauty and healing rituals. Here
are two examples. There are no limits to our creativity.
Maria Magdalena Ritual for the Rose Quartz Gemcomb
Before you start using the Rose Quartz Gemcomb, I

The Snowflake Obsidian and the Black Obsidian Comb Ritual
The Snowflake Obsidian and/or Obsidian Combing Ritual
The Snowflake Obsidian and Black Obsidian Gemcombs work well in contact with the naked skin
and you can glide them over uncovered skin along the meridians and energy fields of the body. I
often use those two combs after a Hair Balancing to draw out energy along the arms and fingers,
feet and toes.
If you would like to use the combs on a person’s whole body, laying and being covered by silk is
ideal as the silk protects and supports the energy work best. Matching the colors of the stones with
the color of the silk or fabric increases their color therapeutic potential.
After sunset, when the sky is black and the stars are sparkling summon the presence of the four black
goddesses: Light a candle in honor of Pele. Acknowledge Isis with EYE contact, Greet Lilith with a
bow and ask for Kali’s blessings by trusting her judgment.

17. GEMCOMB ADVENTURES
Do stones have legs?
How do stones manage to travel from one place to
another, from one person to another through different
time periods? It seems that stones have a power,
which can ask or inspire or demand from us, to move
them.
I am collecting stone stories and enjoy hearing about
any special experiences people had or have with
stones.
On several occasions I saw and witnessed that a stone can move itself, even jump. In the California
desert, there is a phenomenon of the moving rock (see photo). Geologists and scientists are not yet
able to explain the phenomenon of the moving rocks. A most likely ice crust, which form under the
rock and winds play a role but in spite of continued observations by science teams the theories
don’t hold.
Once, a Rose Quartz Gemcomb made me jump. A client left my house after her Hair Balancing
appointment and forgot the Rose Quartz Gemcomb she had just acquired. As she was entering her
car, I was upstairs walking through my living room and stumbled over nothing but in a way that I
landed on my couch, where I could see the forgotten comb under a pillow. I grabbed the comb, ran
downstairs and just before she pulled out of a drive way I was able to give her the comb. She left for
a long journey the following day; therefore time was of the essence.
When I receive an impulse from a Gemcomb to be transported to a specific location, I follow it.
Gemcomb friends brought Gemcombs to Africa, Australia, and Europe.
One Gemcomb friend took a Red Jasper Gemcomb to South Africa. Here is her story.
I had an incredible journey back to South Africa. Cape Town area really feels like another home. From
the first day there, I started to keep my antennae out for the right home for the comb. On the first
morning, my Dad woke me early to take me for a walk in the Silvermine Mountains. They're just to the
left of Table Mountain and are incredibly beautiful. There is a lake at the top of the mountain and
during summer, people brave the cold water in this pristine environment. It's not a place I've
previously been drawn to, and on this trip, ended up visiting there about 4-5 times.
The day before I left Cape Town, I went back, and walked deeper along the river, taking a clearing
prayer and beautiful symbol code with me to further imbue the area. I found a quiet space and did a
little ceremony before planting the comb next to some healing waters.
Interestingly, on the trip to Africa, two of the little comb’s teeth broke off. Sadness initially came up
for me, and then I trusted that there was reason to it all. My mother is a Reiki practitioner and very
special healer.

When you spoke of either a sacred space or a healer, I sat deeply to consider, if my mother was the
correct bridge. Indeed she had much to do with the anchoring, and instead I gave her one of the small
broken teeth and brought one safely back to Maui, to keep the energetic connection strong and
healthy with Africa.
I also connected with a very special lady while in Cape Town, and told her of the comb story. She
mentioned to me, once I had "planted it," that her meditation group often goes to the very same place
as it holds such a high vibration. It was a great affirmation, to know that my guidance, and in reality the
stone's guidance had led me to the right place. Now it is anchored, and humming in the mountains...
and I thank you for the very sacred gift you have given to South Africa, my Mom and I! With much love

Little Grandmother Keisha Crowther, says, “that crystals are the most powerful thing we have on this
Earth. They carry enormous love vibrations. When we place sacred crystal onto the ley lines of the

Dreams
The Gemcombs can appear in our nightly dreams. The interpretation of the significance is complex
and depends on the meaning of the Gemcomb for the dreamer. Many Gemcomb friends keep the
Gemcomb close to them, when they sleep, in order to improve their sleep, for consolation and healing
or to be accompanied and supported during astral travel.

Max, the Crystal Scull
An impressive adventure that Shanti, my daughter and I experienced with the Gemcombs was
meeting Max, the Crystal Scull in 2010. Max and his human caretakers were visiting Maui. The held a
lecture about the history of crystal sculls and then offered to people the opportunity to book a private
session with Max. Consequently, Shanti and I spent half an hour alone with Max in a room. Here are a
few photos from our experience: The Mind Melt, the mental connection between our third eyes, the
eye contact (Shanti), the combing of Max’s ethereal hair (Linda) and Max with the Gemcombs.
Max felt like a grandfather made of
crystal, infinitely wise, loving and goodhearted. Our impulse to be really close
to him to have skin to stone contact was
not unique. There was a bottle of natural
disinfectant and paper towels on the
table and we were asked to clean Max
after the session. Whenever Shanti and I
think of Max, we smile. I still feel a very
loving connection to Max.

Crystal Bowls
My friend Crystal, and this is really her given name, lives on the island of Kauai and works right now
with 21 Master Alchemy Crystal Bowls. Occasionally, we host an event together and the combined
effect of the crystal bowls and Gemcombs is amazing. Once a participant combed my hair with a
Gemcomb and Crystal played and then held the vibrating crystal bowl next to my body. The
Gemcomb worked as a transmitter and the sound frequencies touched me deeper than ever before.
It felt like healing took place on a cellular level. I believe that these frequencies have an enormous
potential for transformation.

Gemcomb Constellation
During a Gemcomb Workshop on August 2, 2009 we did a Gemcomb constellation in the format of
family and systemic constellation work, inspired by Bert Hellinger. We were nine women. I had the
role of the therapist. The other eight women each represented a Gemcomb. Two Gemcombs were
kept separate and used later. The Gemcombs were enwrapped in silk pouches of the same colors,
so that the representatives did not know which Gemcomb they had chosen.
For the constellation work we went to a nearby forest. It was very clear, that we wanted to leave
the seminar room and ‘as Gemstones’ we wanted to be immersed in nature. When we found the
right spot in the woods, we marked our field and during phase 1, the representatives simply
entered the position and the movement, which felt right.
Observations of Phase 1:
Very
quickly
each
GemcombRepresentative found their spot and
rested, partly with closed eyes. The
general group feeling was peaceful,
‘being rested in oneself’ and a sense
of nobility. Everyone felt good.
The representative of the Quartz
Crystal took a central position and it
seemed as if her focus concentrated and held the group energy. The representative of the Blue
Lace Agate held the comb in front of her throat chakra. The representative of the Rose Quartz
comb held the comb close to the spleen. The representative of the Red Jasper comb was looking
into the distance, looking forward to new possibilities.
Observations of Phase 2:
For this round I asked the Gemcomb-Representatives to be
with one another, to make contact and feel the relationships.
Several constellations formed.
The representative of the Black Obsidian kept the greatest
distance to the group and did not want to be closer. One other
Gemcomb representative felt supported and protected by that,
another one controlled and uncomfortable (interestingly two
potentials of the Pluto energy). The representative of the Red
Jasper comb had to be near the representative of the Blue
Lace Agate in an exact distance. The representative of the Blue Lace Agate held her head tilted
towards the representative of the Red Jasper comb and could not move it. (5th person from the left).
Later we found out that the representative of the Blue Lace Agate comb had a red jasper stone in
her pant pocket. When this stone was removed, there was less need for closeness from the
representative of the Red Jasper comb. We concluded that the representative of the Red Jasper
comb felt drawn to a member of its stone family.

The tilted stiff neck of the representative of the Blue Lace Agate showed the symptom (neck
problems), which the Blue Lace Agate can remedy.
Then I asked each individual Gemcomb representative for a special message, if there hadn’t been
already one spontaneously. Messages from the representatives:
Snow Quartz: Be merry. Mercy.
Quartz Crystal: Go with your heart.
Amethyst: Heat in the head and body.
Blue Lace Agate: Listen deep within yourself. Deep roots. The journey goes inward not outward. Why
do they choose to live this way? Keep on moving. Soul to Soul.
Rose Quartz: it is ready. Self-determination, moving on.
Jade (was not in the constellation)
Tiger Eye: Connect with nature. Power, strength, being in your center.
Red Jasper: Hope, movement, new, softness. You cannot loose anything. I am everywhere the
presence.
Snowflake Obsidian (was not in the constellation)
Black Obsidian: Allowing emotions, perseverance.
In phase 3 I asked the
Gemcomb representatives to
align each other according to
their connection with the
human chakras. Very fast they
formed very close to the
actual sequence.
It
was
impressive
to
experience how the Snow
Quartz
representative
immediately went to top and
then looked down at the others and the Black Obsidian representative went straight to the bottom of
the line. Then there was an empty space (the Snowflake Obsidian was represented). The Amethyst
and the Blue Lace Agate were exchanged and the Quartz Crystal stood at the Jade Comb’s spot,
which was not represented either. When I asked about chakra rotation, this is what the
representatives shared:

What is so beautiful about the Gemcombs and continues to surprise our Gemcomb friends and us
is that the Gemcombs guide you how to use them. You just need to hold a Gemcomb and then
follow the impulse that is ignited by the connection. It always works and at our Gemcomb
Gatherings, we witness every time that people who have never worked energetically on another,
know exactly what to do.
Using the Gemcombs therefore doesn’t require special training or an activation of your healing

An ideal format for this type of Gemcomb Gathering is:

• Meditation with the Gemcombs. Each participant holds a
Gemcomb without knowing which one, with their eyes closed and
feels and listens. Then the impressions are shared with the group
• Demonstrations of the Gemcombs’ uses and applications

Partner work. Two participants team up. First one participant
treats the other with the help of the Gemcombs. After 10-15
minutes they switch. Then the experiences of the giver and
receiver are both shared with the group.
• Closing circle with the Gemcombs. One option: all Gemcombs
are put in a circle and whoever wants to be in the circle or around it is invited to do so. Linda

19. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where do the Gemcombs come from?
Quartz Crystal, Snow Quartz, Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Obsidian, Snowflake Obsidian are coming
from Brazil. Jade comes from Canada and Tiger Eye and Red Jasper from South Africa.
What are the dimensions of the Gemcomb?
The average Gemcomb measures 3.5×1.5 inches, with 1/8-inch space between the teeth, ¼ inch
thickness. However, they are hand made so slight variations are possible.
Are the Gemcombs colored?
Neither the raw stones nor the final Gemcomb has been radiated, treated with heat or artificially
colored or has been stored in mineral oil. Our stones are all of natural origins and not changed in
their consistency, meaning not pressed or coated. When stones are colored, it is easily visible and
the color doesn’t last long.
Are the ‘teeth’ spread wide enough to comb through abundant hair?
Yes, they are wide enough to comb through most heads of hair, however of course there could be
exceptions. We don’t recommend replacing your detangling comb or brush with the Gemcomb, but
to use the Gemcomb after entangling.
Can I use the Gemcomb on chemically treated hair?
Yes, you can use the Gemcomb on permed or chemically colored hair. However, it is not
recommended to use the Gemcomb on hair, which has been coated with gels or hair sprays.
Chemical ingredients in beauty products can negatively affect the scalp, hair and one’s health and
create an energetic barrier between the Gemcomb and the hair.
Can I share my Gemcomb with others?
Yes you can and you may choose not to. In any event use the Comb only on clean hair and cleanse
it at least with cool water after each individual use. In general, the high frequency of the Gemstone
Comb does not absorb anything of lower frequency during bodywork. The Gemcomb can assist in
raising a lower frequency or pulling anything of a lower frequency out of a person’s energy system
and then releasing it into the larger energy field for its transformation. If left alone, the combs have
an internal regenerating ability. If the Gemcomb is constantly exposed to, for example, violent
language, or kept on top of a television set, or it comes in touch with a particular strong but low
vibration, its own vibration can be lowered and the Gemcomb needs to be cleansed and recharged.
We believe that gemstones and therefore also Gemcombs objectively record the vibration of any
and every event that they participate in, without being compromised in their individual power. We
recommend regular cleansing and staying in tune with the vibration of your Gemcomb.

Which Gemcomb is the most popular in terms of hair health and beauty?
The most popular Gemcomb has been the Rose Quartz Gemcomb, and it turned out as the favorite
one among men as well. I do recommend the Jade Gemcomb for people who are experiencing hair
thinning and loss. The Rose Quartz Gemcomb is ruled by Venus and is definitely the one for beauty
and love. The Amethyst and Tiger Eye Gemcomb are admired most for their beauty.
How many Gemcombs do I need?
Of course, we would like you to enjoy the Gemcombs as much as we do and get the whole set to
use for yourself and your loved ones or in your holistic healing practice. However, just as the
originator, Linda Deslauriers, started with one Gemcomb and worked with that same comb for
many years and then one by one added the other combs to the collection taking her time in
understanding the stone, we love for you to begin with one special Gemcomb. Connecting with one
Gemcomb at first may have the advantage to learn a lot about it, to try out every thing, and hear
and feel its special message for you.

The work with the Gemcombs supports my work as a counselor and also when I do body work with

I am an artist and sculptor and have much experience working with stones. I have come to
understand that each stone has it's own spirit. When I work with stone I allow each one of the

During a Gemcomb Gathering my partner combed my hair with a Crystal Comb. She was sitting on
a chair because of a foot injury and I sat between her legs. After a few minutes I dropped into a

LINDA DESLAURIERS
Linda was born in 1965 as the only daughter of Karin and Lothar
Hollatz in Hamburg, Germany. Her fascination with stones and gems
began in the first years of her life with a rock formation in Denmark
and a tiny tiger-eye gemstone.
Her healing path and consequently her professional career focused
on hair, psychology, health and beauty. Linda studied clinical
psychology at the University of Hamburg and literature at the
University of Hawai’i.
She learned Hair Balancing a holistic
haircutting technique and philosophy from Mercury Yount and
‚balanced’ over 10,000 people’s hair. Her first Rose Quartz
Gemcomb was always with her. Linda lives since 1990 in California
and Hawai’i and spends the summer in Europe. She has published
three books in Germany on hair and wardrobe. Gemcomb is her first
E-Book and the first in the English and German language
