EXCURSION IN THE LAGOON INCLUDING A TRY
AT VENETIAN‐STYLE ROWING Every Wednesday afternoon at 6 pm, come along and take part in this exciting trip on a “Gondola” (a
traditional wooden Venetian rowing boat) to watch the sun set over the Lagoon. During the hour you spend on
board this boat, you will have the chance to see the flora and fauna of the Lagoon and of the Venetian shoal up
close, as well as to try your skills at rowing with the help and explanation of our expert rowers from the “Remiera
di Cavallino”, who will be accompanying you on this splendid adventure.
Boats depart from Piazza Cavallino, which you can reach from Union Lido either by bus or by bicycle, for anyone
who is unable to use their car. Remember that Union Lido is approximately 3 km away from Piazza Cavallino.

EXCURSIONS 2014 EXCURSION BY “GONDOLA” During the hour you will spend aboard this typical boat, you can see the flora and fauna of the lagoon and of Cavallino sand banks close up. Expert rowers will accompany you and row standing up‐the classic Venetian position. Most probably you will want to visit Venice. We would advise to wear suitable clothing especially for visiting churches and museums. Venice will be grateful for your visit and will be happy to invite you again. There is always a lot to discover in Venice. Time there has come to a standstill and this makes the city magnificently different from all the others. Venice is unique in itself. If you decide to visit Venice by yourself, you can use the excellent bus‐boat public service. From 19.05 to 20.09 there will be also a special ATVO bus from Union Lido to Punta Sabbioni and back, every day except Sundays and festivities.
