What You Will Learn
•Equipment fundamentals for the
commercial truck driving industry
facility. You will train on new, manualtransmission trucks and learn to maneuver
tractor-trailer combinations.

Prerequisites
•Basic knowledge and driving skills to pass
the commercial driver’s license exam
•Must have a valid CDL permit. Class B
must have a permit eight days prior to
class start date
•Rules of the road and smart driving
strategies
•How to connect with companies that are
hiring truck drivers
How You Will Learn
We provide a diverse mix of classroom
and discussion sessions, videos, driving
demos, and hands-on driving—both on
the road and at our transportation training
•Must have a valid driver’s license with a
clean driving record
•Must pass a Department of Transportation
(DOT) physical exam and drug test from a
certified provider
•Must be able to read and speak English
well enough to perform all truck driver
duties
•Must be at least 18 years old; 21 if you
plan to drive interstate routes

Class A: 180 Contact hours (20 days)
$3,995*
Additional study time on your own is also required.
Class B: 40 Contact hours (5 days)
$1,095* Additional study time on your own is also required. You must have
your permit eight (8) days prior to class start date.
Permit Prep: 12 Contact hours (online)
$139* Self-study online course. Study at your own pace for the written CDL
permit test. Students who complete this course will receive $100 discount
toward registration in a future CDL class.
Individualized/Small Group Courses: Two-hour minimum
$125/hour*
Learn or practice driving skills such as shifting or backing.
Refresher: 40 Contact hours of individual training

already have a CDL to register for this course.

Drug Test: You must obtain a drug test from a Century College authorized provider. Forms available

Department of Transportation Physical Exam (DOT physical):
$55*You must obtain the exam from a provider on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety
Administration National Registry.
CDL Licensing and Testing:
MN $45* payable to the state licensing facility.
WI $150* payable to the state CDL examiner and $50* payable to the state licensing facility.
