COMPTROLLER-TRIBAL HOUSING
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position provides a wide variety of housing financial accounting for the Yavapai-Apache Nation
Tribal Housing Department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Prefer high school diploma, or GED, plus a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or a combination of education and experience.
• Three years of experience in fund accounting and HUD reporting preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, be insurable with the Yavapai-Apache Nation’s insurance
policy, and maintain insurability throughout the duration of employment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for Housing accounting activities.
• Prepare annual housing financial budgets with the input of the Executive Director, for all housing
activities.
• Prepare all reporting documents to HUD, including IHP, APR, Quarterly and Annual reports.
• Manage all housing audits.
• Assist the Director in obtaining private financing for new home construction. Detailed analysis
is required for each development project. This includes but is not limited to NAHASDA regulatory compliance, lending underwriting requirements, accounting requirements and HUD reporting requirements. Assist the Director in finding alternate sources of financing for home construction and home mortgages.
• Review all financial activities to insure that all policies, internal controls and budget constraints
are maintained. Revise budgets and operation plan as needed and obtain proper approvals.
Submit budget/plans with the proper department or agency.
• Responsible for Housing supplies inventory accounting and reporting.
• Evaluate and review the performance of assigned personnel..
• Accomplishes other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or delegate.
PAY RATE: D.O.E.; Plus Tribal Benefit Package.

hour crisis stabilization center.) Approximately 10 new staff are joining our team each month to meet our expansion needs.

Coders – HS required. Must be certified coder. Prefer minimum of one year of current medical/behavioral health
experience in coding. Must be proficient with EHRs and MS Office computer programs.
Registered Nurses (Inpatient, Outpatient and Crisis Stabilization Unit) Pool and Full Time. AZ RN. Must have minimum
of one year behavioral health experience. This could include ER, nursing facility, specialized floors in hospital. (Crisis
Stabilization Unit experience a plus)
Certified Medical Assistants (Outpatient) – Requires minimum of one year experience working in behavioral health.
Health Service Technicians - Pool and Full Time. Shift work. Residential & /Hospital Programs. Must have minimum of
4 years experience in behavioral health which could include a combination of education/experience to equal 4 years
or BA/BS in psychology or other similar field.
Paramedics - interested in working in Behavioral Health. Full Time, Part Time or Pool. WYGC will train staff to meet
BHT credential. Must have active current certification.
Billing Specialist – HS required. Knowledge of insurance guidelines especially Medicare and state Medicaid. Experience in preparing and submitting clearinghouse claim to various insurance companies both paper and electronically.
Must be able to learn and adapt quickly. Excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of ICD-10 Coding HUGE plus.
Self-motivated to work independently. Excellent time management and prioritization skills required.
Crisis Therapist(s) - Part time, Pool. Master’s degree required. Licensure a plus. Evening, overnight and weekend
shifts available.
Children and Adult Direct Support Specialist – Part Time/Pool. Minimum of 4 recent years of work with children and
families or Adults with mental health diagnosis. Must have combination of experience and education in behavioral
health or BA/BS. Work is in schools, community, and homes. After hours and weekend availability a plus.
Adult Case Manager – Full Time. Bachelor degree required. Prefer Masters. Experience with community mental
health and care coordination a plus. Medical and behavioral health experience preferred.
** Fingerprint clearance card required to work with children and in all facilities that serve children.

Physical Therapist (Full-Time or PRN): Provides services that help restore function, improve

determines their potential to respond to therapy, and develops treatment plans.
Registered Nurse (Full-Time or PRN): The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care
to patients within assigned unit. The role is also responsible for patient assessments, planning,
supervising, interventions, and evaluations designed to prevent complications of physical
disability, restore optimal functioning, and help the patient adapt to an altered life style.
Patient Care Technician (Full-Time or PRN): Working under the supervision of registered nurse,
primarily responsible for providing direct bedside care to patients.
Home Health Physical Therapist (PRN): Under the direction and supervision of the RN
Administrator, the Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) administers physical therapy to patients on an
intermittent basis in their place of residence. This is performed in accordance with physician orders
and plan of care.
Home Health Speech Language Pathologist (PRN): Under the direction and supervision of the
Home Health Administrator, the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) administers speech therapy to
patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence, in accordance with physician orders
and plan of care.
Home Health MSW (PRN): Under the direction and supervision of the Home Health
Administrator, the Medical Social Worker provides social work services to patients on intermittent
basis in their place of residence. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plan of
care.

SUPERVISED BY: Registered Nurse
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Medical Assistant is a multi-skilled health professional who will work interdependently with other
health care professionals to provide quality health care to the patient.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma and Medical Assistant Certificate.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• 1 + years of experience in a related field.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a medical clinic setting.
• Experience working in an outpatient setting – Family Medicine preferred (dealing with both adults
and children) strongly preferred.
• Basic computer skill required.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Privacy Act.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and
height), and records information on patients’ charts.
• Phlebotomy and collection of lab specimens.
• Performing basic lab tests.
• Tracks the routing of lab results.
• Reports lab results to patients under the direction of Registered Nurse or physician.
• Check immunizations, prior to administering thru Physicians orders.
• Performs administrative procedures which include telephone techniques and appointment scheduling.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
PAY RATE: $12.36 per hour; Plus Tribal Benefit Package

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Tribal Employment Rights Office is responsible to the Community, for assuring equality of employment opportunity for Community members. This position will ensure compliance and monitor employment practices of private & public sector employers
on the Reservation, Investigate allegations of employment discrimination complaints, enforce Indian Preference, settle claims, refer & recruit
Indians to gainful employment, and insure compliance with tribe’s Preference Priority & Indian Preference laws and with state & federal
regulations needed. Tribal Employment Rights Office is the authorized agency for all labor relation matters. Ensures compliance with all State,
Federal, Departmental, OSHA and Safety Standards. Conduct safety/prevention training, and investigate employee injuries and illnesses. This
position is responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating a Safety Program that will reduce loss through accident prevention/
reduction methods, employee and management team, accident investigation and inspection.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Public Administration or any other
combination of experience and training which demonstrates potential ability to perform the duties of this position as well as a working
knowledge of the construction Industry.
•
Requires five (5) years of progressive work experience in governmental or community based employment and development program;
TERO program experience required.
•
Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license and be insurable with the Nation’s insurance carrier, and maintain insurability of the
same.
•
Ability to follow instructions and observe the confidential nature of activities of the Tribal Employment Rights Office.
•
Associates Degree and at least three (3) years experience in Loss Control & Safety or related field or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
•
Must be detail oriented and be able to teach/train/facilitate.
•
Have at least two (2) years of OSHA and/or Emergency Services experience.
•
Thorough knowledge of the TERO Indian Preference legal framework and Equal Employment Opportunity provisions of federal and
state law, and of Equal Employment Policies of the Yavapai-Apache Nation in regard to: tribal contracts and leases.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•
Implements the organization and administration of Tribal Employment Rights Law & performs all collateral functions and activities as
required.
•
Maintains confidentially of all files.
•
Monitors industrial, construction, agricultural, commercial & public sector employers to insure they are in compliance with preference priorities and local Indian preference laws.
•
Develops and maintains a system for investigating employment discriminatory complaints for insuring compliance with local Indian
Preference laws and with federal and state EEO regulations when applicable..
•
Conducts periodic review of the progress made by employers in achieving predetermined hiring and/or training goals.
•
Maintains accurate and complete statistical data on investigations and clients served.
•
Prepares reports of investigation of administrative or legal purposes.
•
Prepares statistical analysis on referrals, placements, terminations, on a monthly basis.
•
Conduct preliminary interviews and/or pre-screening of prospective applicants for placement.
•
Maintain and insure proper use of all program equipment and property.
•
Establish liaison with departments and agencies, attend meetings and represent TERO when assigned.
•
Direct the implementation of regulatory programs to include: HAZ COM, Blood borne Pathogens, and Lock-Out/Tag-Out training
programs.
•
Implement employee training programs from initial orientation through departmental safety training.
•
Responsible for development and implementation of OSHA and Safety Training
•
Ensures that management is continually updated with any new and modified standards.
•
Manage worker compensation claims.
•
Manage and coordinate the Modified Light Duty Program with Management.
•
Act as an advisor to the Safety Committee.
•
Keep management fully apprised of all Risk Control System developments/results through attendance at management meetings and
issuance of reports.
•
Conduct him/her in a professional and ethical manner while representing the Nation, act as a role model and encourage others to do
the same.
•
Additional duties as assigned.
PAY RATE:
$17.00 - $20.00 DOE; Plus Tribal Benefit Package

Crisis Therapist: This position is part of the Access to Care team at Spectrum. Provides emergency crisis behavioral health services to individuals, of all ages. Proficient

offices in Sedona, Cottonwood, and Camp Verde. Required: Current, unencumbered
Arizona license; current, unencumbered DEA license. Nurse practitioner or MD okay

issues and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Minimum Internal Controls
and State Compact issues.
