MISSION
PUBLIC PROGRAMS
GRANT PROGRAM
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Launched in 2004 and based
in New York and Tel Aviv,
Artis is an independent
nonprofit that supports
and promotes the Israeli
contemporary art community
throughout the world.
We partner with a wide
range of international arts
organizations to present
projects and commission
new work by contemporary
Israeli artists. From artist
talks to alternative art fairs,
our programs offer artists
exposure to new audiences
at pivotal moments in
their careers.
We allocate $100,000 annually
to arts institutions, MFA and
residency programs, and artist
projects through our online
juried grant application
process. Artists, curators,
and institutions are invited to
apply for grants that support
intercultural exchange and
dialogue in the art world.

ARTISTS SUPPORTED BY ARTIS INCLUDE
We provide intensive career
development workshops,
online exhibition promotion,
and consultations for Israeli
artists at all stages in their
careers. The Artis Curatorial
Fellowship program offers
invaluable opportunities for
emerging Israeli curators to
work within esteemed arts
institutions abroad for one year.
We invite leading international
museum directors, curators,
critics and writers on semiannual group tours of Israel’s
contemporary cultural
landscape, building lasting
connections between local and
international art communities.
Research grants and guides to
the Israeli art scene are also
available throughout the year.
Top ranked on all Google
searches related to Israeli
contemporary art, our
relaunched website serves
as a leading reference for
curators, critics, researchers
and art-loving audiences
alike, offering a selection of
artist profiles and videos,
new writing, art guides,
exhibition listings and news.
