Mounting the Scanner.
The Scanner™ is designed to be installed on the inside of your windshield. Choose a location
centered on the windshield either above or below your rear view mirror. For maximum visibility
, mount the Scanner™ below the “blue tint” area located on the top portion of your windshield.
Using the double sided tape mount onto the windshield. Be sure to clean the windshield with
rubbing alcohol prior to mounting for maximum strength.
SCANNERS are designed for installation
in all automobiles equipped with or
without an alarm system.

Changing Patterns and Speed
Whenever SCANNERS™ is active, press the "pattern select" button once to select
desired pattern. There are 8 patterns to choose from. The selected pattern will remain
as long as power is not disrupted to the Red and Black wires. To change speed
whenever SCANNERS™ is active, hold down the "pattern select" button until the
desired speed setting is obtained then release. This speed change will change the
speed for all patterns.

1: Scanner does not remember pattern!
Memory loss will occur whenever the positive wire loses contact with the battery for a moment. This can occur if the
positive wire is attached to the wrong contact on the fuse box or some other location in the vehicle. Try to connect directly
to a line that goes directly to the battery positive.
2: Scanner does not work when the alarm is turned on!
Installation with alarm system.
Scanner will activate when you arm your alarm.

Ground
If you want the scanner to activate when the alarm is turned on you must connect the yellow wire to the ground output
(ignition kill) of your alarm system. DO NOT CONNECT TO THE LED OUTPUT!. the LED output wire only provides 2-3
volts flashing and is not enough to power the scanner. Refer to your alarm installation manual or ask your local dealer for
the correct ground output wire.

Daylight Sensor
Under daylight/sunlight conditions it is nearly impossible to see whether the
scanner is on or not. To conserve energy and maximize the life of the EL Lamp
the microcontroller shuts down the lamp and turns on the L.E.D. If you do not
want this feature simply hold down the pattern select button for 20 seconds.
Now your scanner will turn on depending on the type of installation. To reactivate
the sunlight sensor simply hold the button for another 20 seconds.
