Most Ortman Fluid Power cylinders
are specified with polyurethane
seals that resist abrasion and seal
wear—lasting up to 4 times longer
than other sealing materials.
Metallic scrapers and alternate
wipers and seals are always
available for all rod sizes.
Ortman Fluid Power cylinder tubes
are piloted on the ‘OD’ to ensure
perfect alignment with end covers.
This prevents “breathing” and
minimizes the possibility of
leakage. Steel tubing bores are
micro-honed to 8-15 RMS finish
for positive sealing, with optional
chrome plating (.0003 - .0005).
Special materials are available
upon request.
