OUR PINE WOOD FURNITURE COLLECTION
Production
We are proud to present our Pine Collection to you.
With timeless models, wonderful colors and finishes we are sure that
these pieces will complement your in-store p
­ resentation and results
and, ultimately, your customer’s home in exactly the right way!
The wood used for each furniture-item has been professionally selected, dried
and treated by skilled craftsmen. After sawing, all pieces are assembled and
constructed by hand, out of high quality fir wood. Because all production,
painting and waxing is done fully by hand you will always encounter minor
­d ifferences in color and finishing of the product or small variations in the wood
like small nodes, cracks or tears. The final finish on each piece of furniture
can be slightly different caused by color, techniques or wood structure. These
­v ariations are characteristic for the material and for the production methods
used and they define the warm, country style of these furniture pieces.
Characteristics / climate
Since wood is a natural, “living” product, it will always move, shrink and expand
if the surrounding conditions change. Changes in the humidity or temperature
can cause the wood to extend or shrink and cause little cracks. The wood
in furniture continues to exchange moisture with the air as it responds to
­c limatic changes in your home. Like your skin, wood is porous. It responds to
­e xtremely dry air by losing moisture and shrinking a bit. For example, the halves
of an extension table may part slightly, especially at the edges of the table. This
will correct itself as the relative humidity rises and the wood a­ bsorbs enough
moisture to expand slightly. These natural changes, however, do not affect the
furniture’s quality or sturdiness and are normal and acceptable for a handmade,
wooden product. Central heating, air conditioning and floor heating changes
the humidity in the room. Inherent characteristics of wood, such as mineral
streaks, color and grain variation, pin knots, pitch pockets, and other markings,
add to the natural beauty of our wood furniture pieces. Because off the fact
that no two trees are exactly alike, each piece of furniture will have its own
unique character which shines through our finishes. Do not expose furniture to
continuous direct sunlight. With extended exposure, u
­ ltraviolet rays can create
hairline cracks in the finish or cause fading or darkening. We recommend
­a rranging furniture away from direct sunlight and using window treatments to
block the sun’s rays.

Maintenance & Care
Wooden furniture is best maintained at a temperature between 18 and 24
­d egrees Celsius, with a relative humidity between 35 and 40 percent. Avoid
placing wood furniture near heat or air-conditioning outlets. Exposure to
­e xtreme temperature variations can damage any wood piece. This includes
variations caused by humidifiers, fireplaces, or space heaters. When you
place wet or hot items on the wood, we advise you to use coasters! If liquids
do come in contact with the Furniture please use a damp cloth the remove
­immediately. Direct contact with fluid can cause stains.Maintaining a stable
humidity and temperature in your home will minimize cracking/moving of the
wood. For maintenance for all furniture from the Pine Collection, clear bee
wax can be used. We advise you to wax your piece of furniture every three
till 6 months.
Small repairs / Use of maintenance kit

The maintenance kit gives you the possibility to repair small damages on you
furniture piece. The canister contains a small metal container (with brush) with
the original paint, the second small container (with brush) contains the Antic
Patina (brown antique coloring) and a cloth is included. You can use the brush
to apply small quantities of paint to the damaged areas and use the second
brush with the Antic Patina to apply the antique effect if wanted. You can also
apply some wood wax afterwards if needed. For larger damages you can use
a normal wood filler to repair the wood. After this, and after sanding, you can
apply the paint and antic patina to achieve the correct finish.
WARNING: We strongly advise you to keep these materials locked in a safe
place away from children. If swallowed get immediate, professional medical
­a ttention. Keep at rest and do not drink and do not induce vomiting.
