AGENDA Shea 2016 Enhancing Farm Value Accra, Ghana March 21-23, 2016 MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT I am pleased to welcome all members and stakeholders to our 9th annual international conference in Accra. Shea trees grow naturally on farms across 21 countries in Africa, and are a part of everyday life in our communities. They are both a resource and an opportunity. At the Global Shea Alliance, we raise important questions about the industry and bring together leaders from around the world to promote its growth and sustainability. I encourage all to take this opportunity to expand your networks and join us as active members and sustainability partners. Our workshops this year will discuss the role of the shea industry on these farms including women’s empowerment, nutrition, income, parkland biodiversity, and environmental conservation.
