Advanced courses at the B1 level reinforce
oral and written communication skills,

BEGINNER LEVEL A1
Speak French from day one! Build a solid
foundation in the French language with
this comprehensive introductory French
immersion program. Learn everyday
expressions and phrases, ask and answer
basic questions, and have simple conversations.
The Beginner A1 level is subdivided into 4
or 6 sub-levels depending on the pace.
INTERMEDIATE LEVEL A2
Learn sentences and frequently used
expressions related to everyday life. Practise
speaking and reading comprehension. The
Intermediate A2 level is subdivided into 4 or

Superior B2 level courses give you the
opportunity to deepen your knowledge of
French grammar and to practise both oral
and written skills through sociocultural
themes. Interact with a degree of fluency
and spontaneity, produce clear, detailed
texts on a wide range of subjects and
express viewpoints on topical issues to
master the French language perfectly.The
Superior B2 level is subdivided into 6 or 9
sub-levels depending on the pace.
IMMERSION
At Alliance française, we believe immersing students in French is the best way for them
to quickly become proficient. Right from day one, the objective is to make them use and
play with the language. English can sometimes be used to clarify a point or to overcome a
specific obstacle but we truly want to maximise the exposure to French language during
the time spent in class.
EXPERT LEVEL C1 / C2
Using Alter Ego 5, students can take
classes in the order they wish. Understand
a range of texts and recognize linguistic
subtleties in order to express yourself
fluently and spontaneously. Learn to use
language flexibly and effectively for social,
academic and professional purposes.

All our courses have communicative objectives that have been determined, that are
explained by the teachers and that have to be fulfilled in a term. In order to develop the
greatest proficiency, we use up-to-date textbooks (Alter Ego+ collection and Le Nouvel
Edito collection) that include a DVD ROM as well as online exercises to practise outside
the classroom.
TECHNOLOGY
To make the learning more fun and more efficient, 90% of our classrooms are equipped
with Interactive SmartboardsTM enhancing interactivity and multiplying the variety of
teaching and learning material.

KIDDOS
Age 6
Based on innovative French immersion
teaching methods, language-learning
becomes fun! Using Tatou le Matou
textbook and workbook, teachers present
the language and culture through tailored
age appropriate activities, all in French.
Children are encouraged to interact in
French, thanks to various activities: stories,
creative projects, songs, and educational
games. The Tatou le Matou program is a
1 year program (6 terms).
Age 7 - 9
Using Alex et Zoé textbook, this course
is specially designed to improve the oral
communication and comprehension of
young learners. Learned material is revisited
at strategic points with songs, rhymes and
stories to make the learning both fun and
efficient!
TEENS
Ages 10 - 12
This course teaches pre-teens to read,
write and communicate while developing
a strong grammatical basis, all in French.
The course is based on a brand new
textbook: Pourquoi Pas? , specifically
created for children of this age. It helps to
learn in a playful class perfectly paced for
pre-teens.
YOUTHS
Ages 13 - 15
Speak French from day one! Youths learn
everyday expressions and phrases, ask
and answer basic questions. Authentic
situational exercises introduce to the
structure and use of language in everyday life.

Ages 5 - 15
• Classes offered on Saturdays and
on weekdays
• Children are placed according
to age and level

Starting with the Zouzous 4 bilingues,
these courses are for children who speak
French: either they attend a French school
or French is spoken at home as a second
language of communication or their level
is excellent. Two main objectives for this
course: to maintain the school knowledge
and savoir-faire in French that are necessary
to be able to join the French education system
if needed, and to make sure French becomes
a true medium for intellectual and personal
development for genuine cross cultural
children. Children are only eligible for these
classes after taking a placement test that
will assess their level in French.
Holiday Camps Programs
Ages 5 – 12 +
During the holiday day camps, children are
immersed in the French language through
workshops and activities designed to
educate and entertain. Through thematic
weeks, children embark on a voyage into
a sensory, imaginary, creative and magical
world. In one-week sessions, children
explore the French language and culture
through art, theatre, story-telling, singing
and culinary workshops while developing
strong communicative skills in French!

For Children

New students who have learnt French before are required to take a placement test either
online at alliancefrancaise.org.sg or in person.

Registration in person at the counter is available throughout the year during hours
of operation.
Payment can be made either by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Amex), NETS or in cash.
Checks are not accepted. Registration is confirmed upon the full payment of the fees at
the counter.
ONLINE REGISTRATION
Easy, quick and secure, online registration is free of charge and available for all courses
(toddlers, kids, teens, adults) @ afsingapour.extranet-aec.com.
YOUR ALLIANCE FRANCAISE ONLINE ACCOUNT
Once you are registered, you automatically have an online account from which you can
buy classes, books, movie tickets, etc. You can also update your personal information and
consult your marks if you take tests.
YOUR ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE MEMBERSHIP
The Alliance française de Singapour being an official registered Society, all students
must become members. A fee of S$29 (GST included) is to be paid upon enrollment and
membership is valid for 12 months.

Current students receive a 10% discount on their next course when they register online
within the first 2 weeks of registration. This discount applies for consecutive terms of
full-session.

REGISTRATION
PRIORITY POLICY FOR TODDLERS
Priority registration in the same class (same age and day/time) is given to returning
toddlers from one term to the other during the first 4 weeks of a term with 10% discount.
Available for walk-in registrations only.
HALF TERM REGISTRATION
Students can register either for the first or the last 4 weeks of a term at 65% of full price.
Available for walk-in registrations only.
MULTIPLE REGISTRATION
Registration for any 2 full courses (same term) at one time entitles you to 5% discount
and 10% discount for 3 full courses (same term). Available for walk-in registrations only.
MAKEUP CLASSES
Students cannot make up for a missed class by attending a similar class on a different
day/time. Makeup classes are available at $55/hour (for one student) or $100/hour (for
2 to 3 students of the same class) if you missed a class and want to catch up. Maximum
3 hours per term. The 4th hour will be applied at private tuition rate. Fees include GST.
Makeup classes are to be taken within the same term of the missed class or within the
first 2 weeks of the following term and under the condition to be registered in a regular course.

Discounts can be cumulated to a maximum of 25%.
Discounted course fees cannot be refunded or deferred.

FEES PAYMENT
Payments of all fees must be made in full at the time of registration by cash, NETS and
credit card (Visa, MasterCard or AMEX). Checks are not accepted. All fees include GST.
Please note that there are specific terms and conditions applying for online purchases
(available at https://afsingapour.extranet-aec.com/extranet/).
CLASSES REGISTRATION AND ADMISSION
Registration is not finalized as long as the ‘Terms and Conditions’ form has not been
read and signed for acceptance. A specific registration form is to be filled for Crash
Courses and DELF/DALF Preparation Courses available at the reception desk.
Only students currently appearing on class lists can be admitted in class or holding their
entrance coupon available from the reception desk.
REFUNDS & DEFERMENTS
No refund for workshops. No refund or deferment for discounted course fees. Classes
paid with a credit note cannot be refunded or re-credited. No refund is accepted after the
beginning of the term. 15% of the course fees will be charged for refund for a course cancelled
two weeks before the beginning of a term. An administration fee of S$20 + GST will be
charged if deferment is applied after the commencement of the session upon the student’s
request.
COURSE CANCELLATION
AF reserves the right to cancel classes and workshops, adjust curriculum, and to change
teachers during terms if necessary without advanced notice. Courses can be cancelled
due to insufficient enrollment, unavailability of an instructor, or inability to schedule appropriate
instructional space. When a course is cancelled, students are notified by telephone and/or
email and given the option to transfer to another course, to receive a credit note (valid for
6 months), to defer to the next term or to be fully refunded. Transfer from one course to
another within the same term is allowed only within the first 2 weeks of the term. Higher
price differences are to be paid by the student. Lower price differences are not reimbursed
by the Alliance française but compensated for by a credit note.
CLASS REGULATIONS
For the comfort of all, the use of cell phones is not allowed in classrooms. Eating and
drinking are not permitted while the class is conducted.
BOOKS
Textbooks and workbooks can be purchased either online or from Alliance française
bookshop. Textbooks and workbooks are not refundable. Exchange can be done on the
condition that books be in perfect shape to be for sale again. Books purchased online are
not delivered and can only be picked up at Alliance française bookshop.
