One of the main attractions of the
Porsche 911 is the engine sound. Besides
the physical aesthetics, this is one of the
reasons why the 911 has enjoyed such
loyal ownership since 1963.
Porsche Centre Willoughby has a limited number of these new and pre-owned 911s in stock and with the last unit being produced in
October 2015 we are currently taking orders.

The last of the new 1st generation 911s
After 34 years in production, the famous air-cooled 911 engine was
replaced by an all-new water-cooled model. The discontinuation of aircooled engines marked the end of an era for Porsche: making the 993
series a highly valued collectors’ item within the classic Porsche world.
The continuation of the 911 with the 996 series was a major leap
for Porsche: spawning the first GT3 version with a naturally aspirated
3.6 litre flat-six engine derived from the Porsche 911 GT1.

Before the end of 2015, the second generation of the current 991 series 911 will be announced: heralding
the future without naturally aspirated engines in 95% of the 911 model range.

Starting with a 2.0 litre air-cooled flat-six in the first 911
in 1963, Porsche have progressively built their naturally aspirated
engines up through the models and the years in size and power
through to the current 991 series 911.

In 2005 Porsche launched the first generation of the 997 series
911s with a powerful 3.8 litre flat-six which then received an engine
overhaul in the second generation 997 with 40% of the engine
upgraded for better performance.
With this first generation of the 991 series 911, there is already
the potential for a cult following in future years. The 993 was the
best of the air-cooled engines; will the 991 become the best of the
naturally aspirated engines? You decide.

In a naturally aspirated engine, the air/
fuel mixture is forced into the cylinders by a
vacuum caused by the cylinder movement.
In a turbocharged or supercharged engine,
the fuel mix is forced into the combustion
chamber under greater pressure.

Winter for many is a time for calm

Join us in the far north of Finland at temperatures of up
to 30 degrees below zero. There are no limits to what you
can achieve behind the wheel of a 911 in icy, controlled
conditions under the expert guidance of Porsche Driving
Experience instructors.

Ice-Force S 2016.
ICE-FORCE
Camp 4S in Levi, Finland is designed for
drivers to learn how to control a Porsche
on black ice and snow in some of the most
demanding situations.
Enjoy the new Porsche Winter Experience
Centre in Levi on the Ice-Force course
where you’ll focus your skills to follow the
racing line on an icy circuit.
Under professional guidance (and with spiked
tyres) you’ll learn a variety of special drifting
techniques practising on specially prepared
handling courses.
In small groups guided by 2 instructors
per group and with spikes of up to 4mm
in length on each winter tyre, you’ll
experience incredible lateral acceleration
on snow and ice.

challenges and learn how to confidently
deal with typical handling characteristics
on snow and ice, section after section.
Porsche Driving Experience instructors are
on hand throughout to offer you advice and
data recording and analysis help you define
your racing line even further.
