Amendments to the Maritime Code of Georgia concerning
the Recognized Organizations came into force for 16th
September, 2012. MTA as a successor of former United
Transport Administration have declared all agreements with
just EU recognized ROs to remain in force. However, MTA
preserves its right to consider conclusion of new agreements.

Appeal(legal) Procedures:
The Master of the vessel, owner or operator has the right
to appeal against a detention decision. Evaluation will
be made by Authority immediately after reception of an
appeal note.
