The project is to demonstrate the application of various academics inputs and its adaptation in real life industry situation. This leads to developing collections in the area of garments or Home Fashion with the sponsoring company. A clear articulation of scope of the project including market/ consumer/product range specifications, trends, price range, material specifications, technology available and any other factors to be detailed for defining the complete nature of the project will be provided by sponsoring company. The sponsor while accepting a project must also understand that this Graduation Project is part of educational programme of the student at NIFT: that it is time bound, requires periodic academic monitoring by the nominated NIFT faculty guide and after the fixed time period the work done by the student must be submitted and shown in form of a document & products to NIFT, which will be evaluated by a jury constituted by the NIFT and grades are awarded. A sponsor would therefore certify that he will provide necessary support & direction to the project to its logical conclusion in the given time frame of 18 weeks. The sponsor should also ensure that the required necessary project related swatches are made within the time limit. NIFT would retain the rights to publish/ display/present the project work purely for academic reasons. It will be important to exhibit all the project work & products in the Graduate Show- ‘Tantu’ for final evaluation. 25 BACHELOR PROGRAMMES B.Des. In recent years, education in the field of design research and design thinking have gained significance as it prepares designers and experts to enter the boardroom and help companies to design their brand image, business design and corporate strategies. Design research investigates the process of designing in all fields with an overall intention to improve the design process. As a result, design research is occurring in a variety of disciplines for a variety of applications with a variety of subjects. It is imperative for any design education to create an environment for creative and critical exploration by the students to understand not only the products but the social, economic and environmental responsibilities as required by the designer. With this as the objective, the 18 week Dissertation project aims to apply the knowledge and skill acquired during the course work in an identified area in a real life context. It may be culmination of student’s personal ideas and investigation towards the realization of an original body of work. It is desirable that the student undertakes the project that is sponsored by interested organizations. 37 MASTERS PROGRAMMES Master of DESIGN SPACE CENTRE-WISE LISTING OF FINAL-YEAR STUDENTS KANNUR Antara sarkar Aarti vaishnav Sanjana khairmode Paridhi kothari Sofia sandhu Suraj sawant Suroju kartik Priyanka patel Subhani sharma Delna R S Ranitha Ramesh Surya roy Preety singh Obulam vidhyasagar [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] MUMBAI Aayush Bharti [email protected] Aditi Agarwal [email protected] Aman Dutt Sharma [email protected] Anika Sonwani anika [email protected] [email protected] Khushali Pankaj Ashar [email protected] Ashini Doshi [email protected] B.
