We hope you enjoy using this new piece of equipment. Please read these operating instructions before using the equipment for the first time. The Blaupunkt editors are constantly working on making the operating instructions clearer and easier to understand. However, if you still have any questions on how to operate the device, please contact your dealer or the telephone hotline for your country. You will find the telephone number printed at the back of this booklet. We provide a manufacturer guarantee for our products bought within the European Union. You can view the guarantee conditions at www.blaupunkt.de or ask for them directly at: Blaupunkt GmbH Hotline Robert-Bosch-Str. 200 31139 Hildesheim Germany We wish to point out that the right to claim against warranty is invalidated by any changes or modifications to the device that have not been explicitly approved by the manufacturer. Precautions Observe all the warnings, precautions and notes on servicing provided in this user manual in order to extend your monitor’s service life. ● As the driver, do not use the monitor when driving to avoid traffic accidents. ● Only run the device from the recommended 12 V DC power supply. ● Do not attempt to open the monitor or to dismantle it, as this can result in an electric shock. ● If your monitor develops a fault, take it to a dealer near you or send it to our customer service department. ● Avoid using the monitor in an environment where it will be exposed to dust, dirt or moisture. ● Make sure that you do not keep the Equipment Passport, included with these instructions, in the vehicle. Risk of severe damage to the CD drive! CD singles with a diameter of 8 cm and non-circular contoured CDs (shape CDs) must not be used. We accept no responsibility for any damage to the CD drive that may occur as a result of using unsuitable CDs. To avoid damage to the CD drive, please ensure that you do not stick any labels on the surface of the CD and that you do not use a CD protective film or stabiliser (available in shops as CD accessories). 13 14 User instructions The internal CD drive is a Class 1 laser product generating a visible or invisible laser beam of a potentially hazardous type. The CD drive must only be operated in accordance with the specified instructions. Never open the housing, and do not attempt to perform repairs yourself. Any servicing should be carried out by trained personnel. Caring for CD-ROMs/DVDs If a CD-ROM/DVD becomes dirty, never clean it with circular movements, but use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean it from the inside to the outside. In cases of heavy soiling we recommend washing the CD/DVD using normal washing up liquid. Here again do not clean the CD/DVD with circular movements, but always from the inside to the outside before leaving it to dry. Whenever possible, only hold the CD/DVD by the edge. Comments on readability: Any soiling or damage to a CD/DVD can make it difficult to read. The seriousness of the read error depends on the dirt and on the seriousness of the mechanical damage. Deep scratches cause read errors (data errors), and these can make the CD/DVD jump or get stuck. Always therefore handle your CD/DVDs carefully, and always keep them in a protective sleeve. Usable CD types CD-Rs/CD-RWs (CDs that you have burned yourself) can usually be played. However, because CD quality varies, Blaupunkt cannot guarantee that the device will function correctly. To ensure that audio CDs function properly, only use CDs marked with the compact disc logo. Problems might be experienced when trying to play copy-protected CDs. Blaupunkt cannot guarantee the proper functioning of copy-protected CDs! We also recommend that you handle the CD/DVD very carefully on both the upper and lower sides, because the structure of the CD/DVD places the information layer immediately under the printed side (the label). This can then be distributed to the four loudspeakers. Dolby Digital The Dolby Digital multi-channel technology uses up to six channels, and therefore gives a convincing impression of spatial depth and a high sense of reality. This is provided by separate channels for the left, right and centre loudspeakers in the front of the vehicle, along with two full-range surround loudspeakers in the back of the vehicle as well as a subwoofer. DVD video DVD video is a software standard specified by the DVD Forum specifically for video signals. An application layer is also necessary for DVD. This specifies standards for such things as the playback speed, forward/ reverse play, interactivity, up to eight audio tracks with up to eight channels, and adjustment of camera angles. MP3 MP3 stands for MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3, and is a data format in which music can be compressed and stored digitally. Due to its ability to combine high quality with small file sizes as well as its platform-independence, the MP3 format has now become the leading format for compressed audio. 64 Specifications Control Panel / Monitor System: NTSC/PAL auto switch Power supply: 10.8 - 16.0 volts Maximum current consumption: 5A Output power: 4 x 16 watts sine according to DIN 45 324 at 14.4 V 4 x 45 watts max. power Centre loudspeaker: 1 x 12 watts sine according to DIN 45 324 at 14.4 V 1 x 25 watts max. power Standby: 7.3 mA Operating temperature: -20° C - +70° C Storage temperature: -30° C - +80° C AUX 1, 2, 3 Screen size (diagonal): 7" (17.5 cm) Signal/noise ratio: Resolution (pixels): 1440 (H) x 234 (W) = 336,960 pixels Harmonic distortion factor: < 0.01 % Loudspeaker bandwidth: 20 Hz - 20 kHz +/- 2 dB 152 (W) x 86 (H) mm Bandwidth (subwoofer): -3 dB at 100 Hz +/- 2 dB Visible screen area: > 85 dB Control panel dimensions (WxHxD): 180 x 50 x 26.7 mm DVD, CD, CDC Amplifier Signal/noise ratio: > 95 dB Dimensions (WxHxD): 175 x 50 x 235 mm Harmonic distortion factor: < 0.01 % Power supply 10.8 - 16.0 volts Bandwidth: 20 Hz - 20 kHz +/- 2 dB Maximum current consumption: 10 A Standby: 10 mA Tuner Video input level (typical): 1 Vpp, 75 ohms Wavebands Audio output level (typical): 4 Vrms +/- 0.2 Vrms FM: 87.5 - 108 MHz Channel separation: < 55 dB MW: 531 - 1,602 kHz FM frequency response: 20 - 16,000 Hz Signal/noise ratio: < 75 dB Bandwidth: 20 Hz - 20 kHz +/- 2 dB Channel matching: > 0.5 dB Harmonic distortion factor (RMS): < 0.05 % Subject to technical changes! 65 66 DVD Language Code Table 6566 Abkhazian 7587 Cornish 7285 Hungarian 7684 Lithuanian 8073 Pali 8476 Tagalog 6565 Afar 6779 Corsican 7383 Icelandic 7775 Macedonian 8065 Panjabi 8489 Tahitian 6570 Afrikaans 7282 Croatian 7378 Indonesian 7771 Malagasy 7065 Persian 8471 Tajik 8381 Albanian 8372 Croatian 7365 Interlingua 7783 Malay 8076 Polish 8465 Tamil 6577 Amharic 6783 Czech 7369 Interlingue 7776 Malayalam 8084 Portuguese 8484 Tatar 6582 Arabic 6865 Danish 7385 Inuktitut 7784 Maltese 8083 Pushto 8469 Telugu 7289 Armenian 7876 Dutch 7375 Inupiaq 7186 Manx 8185 Quechua 8472 Thai 6583 Assamese 6890 Dzongkha 7165 Irish 7773 Maori 8277 Raeto-Romance 6679 Tibetan 6569 Avestan 6978 English 7384 Italian 7782 Marathi 8279 Romanian 8473 Tigrinya 6588 Aymara 6979 Esperanto 7465 Japanese 7772 Marshall 8278 Rundi 8479 Tonga 6590 Azerbaijani 6984 Estonian 7487 Javanese 7779 Moldavian 8285 Russian 8483 Tsonga 6665 Bashkir 7079 Faroese 7576 Kalaallisut 7778 Mongolian 8377 Samoan 8478 Tswana 6985 Basque 7074 Fijian 7578 Kannada 7865 Nauru 8371 Sango 8482 Turkish 6669 Belarusian 7073 Finnish 7583 Kashmiri 7886 Navajo 8365 Sanskrit 8475 Turkmen 6678 Bengali 7082 French 7575 Kazakh 7868 Ndebele, North 8367 Sardinian 8487 Twi 6672 Bihari 7089 Frisian 7577 Khmer 7882 Ndebele, South 8382 Serbian 8571 Uighur 6673 Bislama 7168 Gaelic 7573 Kikuyu 7871 Ndonga 8378 Shona 8575 Ukrainian 6683 Bosnian 7176 Gallegan 8287 Kinyarwanda 7869 Nepali 8368 Sindhi 8582 Urdu 6682 Breton 7565 Georgian 7589 Kirghiz 8369 Northern Sami 8373 Sinhalese 8590 Uzbek 6671 Bulgarian 6869 German 7586 Komi 7879 Norwegian 8375 Slovak 8673 Vietnamese 7789 Burmese 6976 Greek 7579 Korean 8376 Slovenian 8679 Volapumk 6765 Catalan 7178 Guarani 7574 Kuanyama 7866 Norwegian Bokmål 8379 Somali 6789 Welsh 6772 Chamorro 7185 Gujarati 7585 Kurdish 8384 Sotho, Southern 8779 Wolof 6769 Chechen 7265 Hausa 7679 Lao 7878 Norwegian Nynorsk 6983 Spanish 8872 Xhosa 7889 Chichewa 7387 Hebrew 7665 Latin 8385 Sundanese 7437 Yiddish 9072 Chinese 7290 Herero 7686 Latvian 8387 Swahili 8979 Yoruba 6785 Church Slavic 7273 Hindi 7666 Letzeburgesch 8383 Swati 9065 Zhuang 6786 Chuvash 7279 Hiri Motu 7678 Lingala 8386 Swedish 9085 Zulu 7967 Occitan 7982 Oriya 7977 Oromo 7983 Ossetian Country: Germany Austria Belgium Denmark Finland France Great Britain Greece Ireland Italy Luxembourg Netherlands Norway Portugal Spain Sweden Switzerland Czech.
