PREFACE
Ege University Faculty of Agriculture is one of the outstanding and
example faculties in our country in research, education and social activity
fields with its strong and experienced faculty staff.
Our university was moved to the second rank with its high performance
among 120 universities in the field of agriculture and environment in the
ranking of universities of Turkey disclosed by the Middle East Technical
University, URAP (University Ranking by Academic Performance) Research
Laboratory in 2011. Besides, only 5 universities from Turkey were able to
enter the list of best 500 universities ranking in the ranking of world
universities. According to this list, Ege University is ranked on the 232th
row in the field of agriculture and environment.
Short resumes of our academic staff take place in this book which is
prepared based on their own expressions, who assured us to attain this
achievement through the excitement and endless energy of taking our
faculty to higher levels. The main purpose in preparing this book is to
introduce ourselves for all organisations and institutions, persons and
students at home and abroad who are related with agriculture.
I present my sincere regards and my best wishes with the confidence that
this book shall be beneficial for its readers which contains information
regarding the valuable staff of our faculty.
