This year, we are delighted to celebrate the YoungCuts Film Festival’s 10th anniversary. Two important trends have marked our first decade. The first has been the growth in number and quality of young filmmakers.
Cette année, nous sommes heureux de célébrer le 10ème anniversaire du festival de films YoungCuts. Deux tendances majeures ont marqués notre première décennie. La première est l'accroissement en nombre et en qualité des jeunes cinéastes.
The second trend is the filmmakers’ remarkable application of technology. It never ceases to amaze us how quickly young people master technology and apply it to their film projects. The produc-­
tion values in this year’s films are amazing.
La seconde tendance est l'application remarquable que font ces cinéastes des nouvelles technologies. Nous sommes toujours épatés de constater la rapidité avec laquelle les jeunes apprennent à maîtriser la technologie et à l'appliquer à leurs projets de film. La valeur de produc-­
tion des films de cette année est étonnante.

LE FESTIVAL
THE FESTIVAL
Le festival de films YoungCuts a pour but de mettre en valeur les jeunes cinéastes de la relève, de promouvoir leur talent et d’agir à titre de mentor.
The YoungCuts Film Festival is dedicated to showcasing, promot-­
ing, assisting and mentoring talented emerging filmmakers.
Le festival présente différents types de courts métrages produits par des cinéastes agés de 25 ans et moins en plus de servir de tremplin à des jeunes réalisateurs.
Cette année, le festival a lieu du 30 septembre au 2 octobre. La projec-­
tion gratuite du vendredi 30 septem-­
bre, présentée dans le cadre des Journées de la Culture au Cinema Guzzo Mega-­Plex Spheretech 14, en donne le coup d’envoi.
The Festival features all types of short films produced by people 25 years old and under, and serves as a launching pad for young filmmak-­
ers.
This year, the Festival runs from September 30 th to October 2 nd. The Festival begins with the free Journées de la Culture screening on Friday, September 30 th.
