Chapter One: Games
GAME FLYER TO HOSTESS
Dear _____________________,
Here are a few of our fun games for the gals’ night out or bachelorette party. Please choose
one or two of these games that we will play at your party. I also have additional games that I
will play throughout the party.
If you have other games that you would like to play, but would like some help on ideas to customize them, please feel free to give me a call.
If you don’t want to play any of these games, just let me know. I will choose some other ones
that we can play at your party.
(Below list 5 – 6 different games)

BACHELORETTE PARTY GAMES
BACHELORETTE LINGERIE
Divide the ladies into two teams (five on each team). Each team chooses a “model.” Give
each team the following materials to work with:
2 rolls of toilet paper
5 sheets of colored construction paper
1 roll of invisible scotch tape
1 pair scissors
2 rolls of colored streamers
2 large white plastic trash bags
Tell the teams they are to design a piece of honeymoon lingerie using the materials provided.
Give them ten minutes to complete the lingerie. The bride-to-be should choose her favorite
piece of lingerie. Supply each winning teammate with an item from the Grab Bag. The ladies
love this game! Tip: This game will take about 10-15 minutes to play.
BACHELORETTE BANANA
Bring bananas to use with the Glow Condoms. Have the ladies divide into two groups and sit
in a circle. Put some Just Like Me on their hands and give each group a banana with a condom on the tip of it. Turn off the lights (optional) and give the word to start. Each lady has to
roll the condom down and back up the banana. Then she must pass it to the lady next to her.
The group that finishes first wins a prize.
FIND THE HOLE
Have everyone pair up. One lady is blindfolded and holds a broom between her legs, with the
1
2
handle in front. The other lady puts a roll of toilet paper between her legs with the “hole side”
out. The object is to get the handle of the broomstick into the hole of the toilet paper roll. First
team to find the hole wins. Tip: You can get brooms and toilet paper at your local dollar store.
ONE HANDED CONDOM
Have the ladies put a Glow Condom on Mr. Dependable, using one hand. Whoever finishes in
the shortest time wins. Remember, the challenge in this game is that Mr. Dependable has Wet
and Wild on him.
HOT P’DILDO
Use the Pulsa Bath Ball and the Double Header for this game. The object of the game—don’t
get stuck with the Double Header when the Pulsa Bath Ball is turned off. A fun twist is using
the Pulsa Bath Ball for the noise instead of music; it gives off a great buzz. Turn the ball on
and start passing the Double Header clockwise between the legs—no hands, ladies! Randomly turn the ball off, and whoever is stuck with the Double Header is out. The last woman in
the game wins the prize.
CUCUMBER CROQUET
Have the ladies put a cucumber in one leg of a pair of pantyhose and tie the rest around their
waists so the leg with the cucumber dangles down between their legs (like a penis). They then
have to use their hips and waist to thrust the cucumber toward a potato to roll it across a finish
line. It’s best played outside in case the cucumber or potato breaks. Hopefully, they don’t mind
the neighbors seeing! If outside is not an option, use tennis balls to play indoors.
BODY DICE
Open two pair of Glow in the Dark Dice. Use the ones that are the same—with lips, toes,
body, boobs, and nipples on them. After rolling, any pair keeps the lady in for another roll; no
pair and she is out. Move clockwise until there is only one lady left. The last lady in is the winner. It moves pretty quickly and gets some laughs.
CAN YOU REMEMBER?
Take a tray or lid from one of your bins. Place a dozen or so net and novelty items on the tray.
Give the tray to the hostess and have her stand in front of each of her guests for 30 seconds
to allow them to look at the tray. Then have the hostess take the tray in the ordering room (secretly tell her to stay there) and then announce to the guests, “I want everyone to write down
everything you can remember … about the hostess! What is her color of hair, long or short, up
or down? Pants, skirt, or shorts? What color? Shoes or no shoes? Socks or no socks? How
many earrings or no earrings at all? How many rings on her fingers? Does she wear a watch?
What color is her shirt? Is it long-sleeved, short-sleeved or no sleeves at all? Does she have
her nails painted? Does she have makeup on or not? Then have the hostess come back.
Have everyone give themselves ten points for each correct answer. The lady with the most
points wins. Tip: This is a great way to advertise those novelty items!
THE KISSING GAME
Have guests close their eyes—no peeking! Draw two people kissing. When finished, look at
papers and award points as follows:
• If the lips are touching or overlapping - 5 points
• For each eye inside a head - 5 points
• For each nose attached to a face - 5 points
• For each mouth attached to a face - 5 points
• Add an additional 5 points for any of the following creative additions they may have made:
hair that is attached to a head, ears that are attached to the head, arms that are attached to a
body— 5 more if they are actually touching the other body as well… and any others you see
fit!
CHERRIES ALL AROUND
All you need for this game are Styrofoam bowls, cherries, and canned whipped cream. Put a
cherry in the bottom of each bowl. Fill completely with whipped cream. Make sure every lady
has one before you announce the start. The first lady who finishes her bowl completely wins.
Here’s the catch. She can only use her lap to hold the bowl and cannot use her hands. Give
the hostess fair warning before doing this game because she will definitely want to have a
camera handy!
TP MYSTERY GAME
As guests arrive, hold out a roll of toilet paper and ask each guest to tear off whatever length
of toilet paper she thinks she’ll need. Don’t explain what it’s for but you might say something
like, “We’re short of TP tonight, and I wanted everyone to have some before we ran out.” At
some point in the party, gather the guests and measure the bride-to-be or hostess’ bust, hips,
leg length, etc., with the strips of toilet paper. If you do not want them to measure a body part
of the hostess, you can also have them guess the length of the double header with the toilet
paper. The guest with the closest length of TP wins.
PENCIL TOPPER GAME
Remember the old clothespin game? Here is a new twist! Give each guest a penis eraser at
the beginning of your show. Guests will put the penis eraser on the top of their pen or pencil. If a lady crosses her legs, she loses her eraser to whoever notices first. You can make it
really fun. If one lady has four stolen penises and crosses her legs, she has to give up all of
them, not just one. The person with the most erasers at the end of the evening wins.
A NIGHT WITH MR. RIGHT
Read the following story as fast as you can. You can put gifts in paper bags or use a Mr.
Dependable for passing, and then whoever is left with him gets a prize. The “prize” should be
passed either right or left, according to the story:
“The big night had arrived for my date with Mr. RIGHT. Getting dressed was all I had LEFT
to do. I put on my RIGHT stocking and then my LEFT, lining the seams up the RIGHT way.
There was a knock at the door; Mr. RIGHT was RIGHT on time. Putting my robe on that I had
LEFT on my bed, I rushed to answer the door. The postal worker had LEFT my Pure Romance order. It was the order I had phoned in and LEFT with my Pure Romance lady, just the
other day. It wasn’t Mr. RIGHT, but this worked out perfectly fine because the Basic Instinct
was sure to attract Mr. RIGHT. I started putting my mascara on my LEFT eye and poked
myself RIGHT in the eye. By the time I was done, I had a run in my RIGHT stocking and had
broken a nail on my LEFT hand. I was finally done, but Mr. RIGHT was late. Mr. RIGHT was
45 minutes late. What’s that … another knock? I ran RIGHT for the door. I tripped on the carpet and broke my LEFT heel. Oh no! What else wouldn’t go RIGHT? I shouldn’t have asked
because I extended my RIGHT hand to shake his, and, of course, he was LEFT-handed. This
date wasn’t starting out RIGHT, and Mr. RIGHT was late and the mood was ruined. We LEFT
in a hurry, hoping to find somewhere for dinner. We found a restaurant, and the maitre’d got
us RIGHT in. When dinner arrived, Mr. RIGHT didn’t know if he should use the silverware on
his RIGHT or LEFT. When the check came, Mr. RIGHT said he had LEFT his wallet at home.
I paid the bill and realized I had LEFT my curling iron on. We LEFT in a hurry, and I told Mr.
RIGHT we had to get RIGHT home. I told him of a shortcut to get us RIGHT home, but he
didn’t listen and instead of RIGHT, he turned LEFT. Mr. RIGHT finally got me home, and I told
him that I had had a nice evening, extending my LEFT hand to say good night. Before I knew
it, Mr. RIGHT kissed me RIGHT on the lips. I turned around and quickly LEFT. Thank goodness I also had ordered the Daddy from the Nati’ from my Pure Romance Consultant, and
that it had come in the order that the postal worker had LEFT for me earlier. I knew I would be
much happier when Mr. RIGHT LEFT. Mr. RIGHT definitely wasn’t RIGHT, but I knew that my
Daddy from the Nati’ would be just RIGHT for me. Is there such a thing as a Mr. Right? I don’t
know, but I sure am glad I had phoned in the order I LEFT with my Pure Romance Consultant
the other night! This night was going to be just RIGHT for me!”
LOVE IS
How about a game of “Love is …?” Write 25 romantic words on index cards, such as throbbing, lips, passion, candlelight, roses, chocolate, and so on. On another 25 index cards, write
some silly noun phrases, such as ironing board, wallpaper paste, motor oil, nose hair, bikini
wax, and so on. Stack the two piles separately and distribute paper and pencil. Have each
player draw a card from each pile. When everyone has two cards, ask them to write a silly
love poem using the two words or phrases they have drawn. For example: “Roses are red,
3
4
they make me hot! Your eyes are sexy; your nose hairs are not!”
WIENER IN A BOTTLE
Put a hot dog inside one leg of a pair of nylons. The girls have to tie the nylon around their
waists so the hot dog end is hanging between their legs, about to the middle of their calves.
Put a glass bottle in front of them (one with an opening that is wide enough for the hot dog to
fit in). The girls must swing their hips to maneuver the hot dog into the bottle. The first person
to get the hot dog into the bottle wins.
a b c
ABC’S WITH A TWIST
Create alphabet cards—mix them up—hold up a letter. Each lady has to name a body part,
article of clothing, or sexually explicit word that starts with that letter. Whoever answers first
gets that card, and whoever has most cards at the end wins.
ROMANTIC FANTASY
The guest should be blindfolded for this one, or just tell her to close her eyes. You are going
to lead the ladies through a romantic fantasy as they draw you a picture. Start out by saying,
“Ladies, this is your fantasy, so be as detailed as you like.” Now you can start instructing them
on what to draw.
-You have to have a ceiling in the room. So draw a ceiling.
-Now you have to have walked through a door to be in the room, so draw me a door.
-And it can’t be a bedroom without a bed.
-We forgot an obvious fact. We forgot to draw you. Here’s your chance to make your boobs
bigger and your butt smaller, ladies. It’s your fantasy, right?
-Now you know you just left this party with a bag full of goodies you just had to try, so you better draw that vibe you bought in your hand.
-You’d also better draw that Love Swing that’s mounted on your ceiling.
-Oh! We forgot about those rose petals you spread on the bed.
-You also need a nightstand beside the bed to store your treasures in.
-We forgot about your lubricant you bought. Since you already have your vibe in one hand,
you’d better put your lubricant in the other.
-We all know this would be more fun with a partner, so you’d better put him in swinging in
the swing. Now remember, ladies, the Love Swing will only hold so much weight so try not to
make his magic wand bigger than he is.
-Now most people don’t show up naked, so you might want to put some clothes on the floor.
-It wouldn’t be very romantic without candlelight illumination from the nightstand.
-Ooops! I forgot to tell you that your partner is blindfolded.
TALLY TIME
You be the judge of your own picture. If you’re not sure, ask the people around you.
1 point for drawing the ceiling as long as it is at the top of your paper
2 more points if you drew a light fixture, and 3 more if you drew a ceiling fan.
• 1 point for the door; 2 points if it has a doorknob.
• 1 point for the bed plus 1 for each pillow that you may have drawn; 3 more for a headboard.
• 1 point for you; 1 more each for eyes, nose, mouth and hair; 2 more if you drew two certain
body parts. If you only drew 1 breast, sorry ladies, you only get 1 point.
• 1 point for the vibe if it actually made it into your hand; 2 points if it’s turned on (made motion
marks) and 3 points if it’s curved for the g-spot.
• 1 point for the swing if it’s actually mounted to the ceiling.
• 1 point for each rose petal that made it on the bed.
• 1 point for the night stand if it’s on the left of the bed as you’re looking at it; 2 points if it’s on
the left side not touching the bed; 2 if it’s on the right side of the bed; 3 points if it’s on the right
side not touching the bed.
• 2 points for the lubricant if it made it into the hand opposite of the vibe.
• 1 point for the partner if he actually made it in the swing; 1 point for each detail (eyes, nose,
mouth or hair).
• 2 points for drawing unmentionables
• 4 points for drawing swinging motion (motion marks or feet swinging).
• 1 point for clothes if they’re just a crumpled pile; 2 points for each article of clothing; 3 more
if you scattered them across the room.
• 1 point for each candle on the nightstand; 4 points if you drew the candlelight illuminating
(light marks or flame).
• 5 points for blindfold if on partner’s face. If it’s half on, give yourself 2 points.
TIP: Don’t change the points awarded for the nightstand. People generally draw it on the left
side of the bed. Whoever has the most points wins.
HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW THE BRIDE?
Ask the bride-to-be to complete this survey before the party. Before the party starts collect the
answers from her. Give guests a sheet of paper from your favorite Doodlepad and ask them
to number it from 1-20. As you read each question out loud, have everyone write down what
they think her answer was. After you are finished with all 20 questions, read the correct answers back to them as they mark which answers they have correct. The person with the most
correct answers will receive a prize.
1. Where did you first meet Mr. Right?
2. Was it love at first sight?
3. Did you kiss on your first date?
4. Do you like his parents?
5. How many children do you plan on having?

ICE BREAKER GAMES
NAME GAME
Introduction or Ice Breaker Game (no prizes required):
When introducing yourself, say, “Tell me your name, and with the first letter of your name
use a word to tell me how you like it and where you like it.” If you can’t think of one … don’t
worry, I will! Example: “Hello, everyone, my name is Katy and I like it kissable in the kitchen” or
“Hello, everyone, my name is Patty and I like it playful in the pool.” Don’t worry, ladies, this is
just for fun; true or not is up to you. The purpose of this game is to just break the ice.
This gets a lot of laughs, and with repeat guests it gets even crazier!
KNOW YOUR NEIGHBOR
As soon as all of the guests arrive, have them sit in a circle. Go around the circle and have
each lady say her first and last name, as well as one fact about herself (such as “I work with
dogs,” or “I hate pizza with mushrooms,” etc.). Then have the hostess stand in the middle
of the circle, and she is “It.” She has to point to any lady in the circle, and that lady has ten
seconds to give the first and last name as well as “the fact” about the lady to her right or left. If
the chosen lady cannot give the information, then she has to go into the center and is now “It.”
(The lady who was “It” previously now sits in the empty spot in the circle.) End the game as
soon as someone can remember the first and last name of her neighbor and “the fact.” That
guest wins the prize.
FANTASY VACATION
Give each guest a piece of paper. Have her put her name at the top of the paper, and then
fold the paper down just enough so her name cannot be seen. Have each guest pass the
paper to her right. Guests should write an answer to the first question on the paper, and then
fold the paper over again so the answer cannot be seen and pass to the right. Here are the
questions:
1. You are taking a fantasy vacation. Where do you want to go on this fantasy vacation? (Fold
paper over and pass to the right.)
2. Whom do you want to take with you on this fantasy vacation? Remember, ladies, this is a
fantasy, so leave the hubbies and boyfriends at home! (Fold paper over and pass to the right.)
3. What is the first thing you are going to do to him on your fantasy vacation? (Fold paper over
and pass to the right.)
4. How do you think that is going to make him feel? (Fold paper over and pass to the right.)
5. How is that going to make you feel? (Fold paper over and pass to the right.)
6. Now it is time to leave your fantasy man. What are you going to leave him to remember you
by? (Fold paper over and pass to the right.)
7. Finally, what are his parting words to you as you are walking out the door?
Then collect all the papers, unfold them, and give the papers back to their owners. Go around
the room and read them out loud.
Example:
My name is Sheila.
I went with Bill Clinton.
We went to Wal-Mart
The first thing I did was give him a blowjob.
I felt like a two-bit hooker.
He felt hard as a concrete block.
His parting words to me were, “Yo, where is my credit card?!”
*This is a great icebreaker opening game!
BLUE LIGHT SPECIAL
Set a timer and demonstrate your products. Whichever item you’re holding when the timer
goes off is on sale for the duration of the party.
ICE BREAKER GAME
Let each guest choose a Pure Romance balloon from a bowl. Then explain that the first lady
to blow up her balloon, tie it, sit on it and pop it will win a free gift. This is a great icebreaker
for any group; it gets everyone up and laughing.
PURSE POUNDS
This is a fun game that involves purses. Place a scale in the middle of the room (don’t get
nervous), and then weigh each lady’s purse. Give the lady with the heaviest purse a feather
teaser, implying that she cannot possibly afford any more weight in her purse!
WAITING FOR LATE GUESTS
Give every guest a paper and pencil. She must circulate among all the guests and collect
three things she has in common with each one. The first player to complete her card by collecting three common things from each player wins a prize.
NAME AND NUMBER
As each guest walks into the party, put his or her name on one side of an index card and a
number on the other side. As guests walk around with their names showing (on the index
card that is taped to their shirts), they have to introduce themselves to as many guests as
they can. After a bit of mingling, ask everyone to turn over his or her name tags so that just
the number is showing. Now give everyone a numbered piece of paper, and see who can fill
in the most names next to the corresponding number.
REMEMBER MY NAME GAME
Before the party, take a Hide a Vibe Pillow or Dickie Sipper and place a prize inside. At the
beginning of the party, let the ladies know that whenever you use a key word such as SEX,
LOVER, PENIS (or whatever you choose), they have to yell out “Pure Romance by ________
_.” Whoever you hear first gets to steal the prize away. The lady who has the container (pillow
or dickey sipper) at the end of the show gets the prize inside! Prize ideas: Pleasure Feather,
Coupon Book for Lovers, Peter Lipstick, break open a Mini Nights of Passion and use one of
those bottles.
DO YOU KNOW?
Have everyone pick a partner and stand back to back from each other with a pen and paper
in hand. Have them number 1-10 on the paper. Ask them the following questions about their
partner without looking at them. The one who has the most correct answers wins a gift.
Tip: You can use information learned from the Bi-Monthly Meetings to test the ladies on their
basic knowledge of products and sexuality. Change the questions to be more informative
by replacing them with questions about helpful information everyone should know, but may
not. For example: What type of lubricant is not recommended for use with silicone products?
Name two sexual positions good for G-spot stimulation, etc.
1. What color of hair does your partner have?
2. Is she wearing shoes?
3. How many rings does she have on?
4. Is there anything around her neck?
5. What main color is she wearing?
6. Any buttons? If so, how many?
7. Does she have her ears pierced?
8. What is the color of her eyes?
9. Is she wearing any makeup?
10. Does she have short, medium, or long hair?
HOUSEHOLD CHORE
Have everyone turn over their order forms and write down one household chore they hate
most, and why they hate it. When everyone is finished writing, have them cross out the chore,
leaving the reason why. Now let them introduce themselves to one another by filling in the
sentence:
Hi! My name is __________, and I hate sex because (the reason they hated the household
chore).
7
8
PERSONALITY GAME
First have every lady write her name on top of the paper (pass out sheets from the novelty
doodle pads or use the back of order form). Then ask these three simple questions:
1. Write a word that describes your favorite animal.
2. Write a word that describes your favorite color.
3. Write a word that describes what the ocean is like to you.
Now have every lady pass her paper to the lady on her left. Explain to everyone that the
answers to the questions reveal secrets about them, which is why they passed their papers to
the person next to them. That person is going to read the responses so there is no cheating
and changing answers to cover up your deepest, darkest secrets.
1. The answer to the first question reveals how you see yourself.
2. The answer to the second question reveals how you think other people see you.
3. The answer to the third questions reveals how you view sex.
Have them read the answers, one at a time. (Everyone should take a turn answering the first
question.) I tell them they have to say the following:
“(Name of person on top of paper) sees herself as (the answer to question #1).
Then do the same thing with questions #2 and #3. You can give a prize for the funniest one, or just do
this as an icebreaker game.”
WHO WEARS THE PANTS?
Buy two pair of the biggest size boxer shorts you can find. Divide the women into two groups.
Have the first lady put the boxer shorts on the correct way, take them off again, and hand the
boxers to the lady behind her. Each guest should do this until the boxers have gone through
the entire line of ladies. This gets the ladies up and moving, and works some of the ants out
of their pants before you get started with the demo. Be careful if you are doing this in an area
with a cement floor. Caution the ladies not to fall, as you really don’t want to run anyone to the
hospital. Give out small gifts (or Pure Romance dollars) to the whole winning team. Hopefully
the team will work a bit better, and more people will get a reward for being there.
TAKE OFF WHAT YOU DON’T NEED
Give everyone a paper bag and tell them to put it on their heads. Ask the girls to listen very
carefully. Tell them you want everyone to take off one article they did not wear to bed. If they
take the bag off right away, motion for them to be quiet. The ladies will start taking off shoes,
socks, whatever, but don’t let them take off too much! Winner can be the first person taking
the bag off or the last person with a bag off or both—or you can just play the game for fun!
3 LETTERED BODY PARTS
There are only 11 body parts with three letters. Have your guests list them. This is great to
play while waiting for other guests to arrive or for large groups. (For large groups, give them a
two-minute time limit.)
Answers: Arm, Leg, Jaw, Eye, Rib, Gum, Lid, Lip, Toe, Ear, and Hip. Watch out! You will always have
other three letter words they try to throw in, and those don’t count! First one to list them all wins!
GETTING TO KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE
THE WOMAN POEM
Have the women turn over their order forms after filling out their names, addresses, etc.
When they’ve all got their order forms turned over, explain that you’re going to read a rhyme
rather fast so they need to pay attention.
This is rather a silly game.
It really does not have a name.
It’s simple to play, as a game should be
You just do as you’re told, you see.
So now if you’ll please give me your attention;
We’ll put an end to all this suspension.
In the end, whoever scores the most
Will receive a prize of which to boast.
Now since you’re all quite fashionable girls,
Give yourself 5 if you have any pearls.
It doesn’t matter if they are fake,
But you have to be wearing them, for goodness sake!
You may add 3 if your toes peek out,
And earrings will give you 2 more to shout.
Score yourself 5 if you show any red;
Add 6 more for a curl on your head.
If you left him with a lipstick mark before arriving today,
Give yourself 7 … what a good girl, I say!
If the lipstick mark was below his belt line,
You deserve 10 more points. You are a girl so fine!
Add 5 more if your shoes are black,
And take away 3 for a zipper in back.
For the # of times this month you’ve had intercourse,
Each time that you counted, you get 8, of course!
Now count all your buttons, for each you get 2,
And take away 1 for each button that’s blue.
If the last time you made whoopee a feather was there,
Score 5 on your sheet for being a lover who cares.
If caught in the sack by a sibling or friend … oh my!
A fat minus 5 and that’s no lie!
But if by mom, dad, or children you’re seen,
It’s time to subtract an even fatter 15!
We could go on and on with this game,
But it’s time to start adding this game with no name.
Before we close, there’s just one more little thing,
Mark down 100 if you’re gonna buy Coochy for your sweet thang.
Person with the most points wins a prize!
ANSWER AND PASS
Hand the hostess a wrapped novelty gift, and then start asking the following questions. Pass
the gift to each person who fits the characteristics of the question.
1. Who has the biggest feet?
2. Who drove the farthest?
9
10
3. Who has been married the longest?
4. Who has the youngest child?
5. Who has the most kids?
6. Who has been at her job the longest?
7. Who sleeps naked?
The last person should pass the gift to the third person on her left! That person wins the
game.
LIFE THREAD
Pass around a spool of thread, and ask each guest to break off a piece. (Don’t tell them what
it’s for or how much to take.) As soon as everyone has taken a piece of thread, go around the
room and have each lady talk about herself as she wraps her piece of string around her finger. She is not allowed to stop talking until the string is completely wrapped around her finger.
Be careful that no one inadvertently cuts off her circulation! In the interest of saving circulation, you can play the same game with toilet paper. (For each square she takes, the guest
has to tell the group one fact about herself.) A prize goes to the person who takes the longest
string or piece of toilet paper and can give the most facts about herself.
OUT OF STOCK
Purchase raffle tickets. For every item you have to backorder for a guest, give her one ticket.
Have her write her name and phone number on the ticket and put it in a bowl. At the end of
the evening, draw out one ticket and that person wins the prize. (You can create a nice gift bag
of novelty items or discontinued items, or give a gift certificate for 50% off one item, etc.) If
the guest has left the party, you can call her to let her know she won. This is great to do for an
increase in sales and to build your customers’ confidence in you. Maybe when you call them
to let them know they won, they will want to book a party!
WHAT IS IN MY PURSE?
Have each lady get her purse and then ask her the following questions. Give her points for
each item. Whoever has most points at the end of the game wins. (You can make more up or

MARSHMALLOW HOROSCOPE
Don’t cheat! Before you read on …choose your favorite Lucky Charms cereal from the list
below:
• Pink hearts
• Yellow moons
• Orange stars
• Green clovers
• Blue diamonds
• Purple horseshoes
• Those icky oat bits
OK. Have you got one in mind? Now you can read on. And don’t change it! Amazing new
study shows that your favorite Lucky Charms marshmallow bit shape determines what you’re
like in bed! Yes, it’s true! Just take this simple test to determine your true bedroom personality:
• GREEN CLOVERS: If your favorite Lucky Charms marshmallow shape is the green clover,
you’re a happy-go-lucky type in bed. You don’t take anything too seriously in the bedroom or
elsewhere and always manage to have a good time, even if you have someone else with you.
You don’t have any patience with depressed people and tend to sit on them until they cheer up.
• BLUE DIAMONDS: If your favorite marshmallow shape is the blue diamond, your thoughts
in bed are mostly about what you’ll get later. “If he really enjoys this, will he buy me that mink
coat?” is probably what’s going through your mind. People who like blue diamonds have a
notebook of preprinted fill-in-the-blank palimony suit forms and are the people most likely to
file their nails while making love.
• ORANGE STARS: If your favorite shape is the orange star, you expect to be the center of
attention in bed. You expect your partner to spend most of his time pleasing you; and when
you do something for him, you expect enthusiastic moaning if not applause. People who like
orange stars often have mirrors over their beds, not because watching what is being done
does turn them on, but because they want to be able to watch themselves having a good time.
They often moan out their own names while making love.
• PINK HEARTS: If you like pink hearts, you’re the romantic type. You want your partner to
whisper romantic phrases into your ear; and, if he’s too distracted to form coherent phrases,
you’ll settle for romantic syllables. People who like pink hearts read most of the romance novels published and are turned on by people wearing armor.
• PURPLE HORSESHOES: If purple horseshoes are your thing, your tastes are modern,
uninhibited, and somewhat warped. You like variety in the bedroom, especially when you can
include handcuffs, chains, swing sets, and chocolate pudding. Be careful when going out on
a picnic with anyone who likes purple horseshoes. She or he is likely to pin you down with
croquet hoops when you’re not looking and who knows what could happen next? Keep your
eyes open for anyone who eats all the purple horseshoes out of their cereal as soon as they
open the box.
• YELLOW MOONS: If you’re the yellow moon type, you’re more interested in satisfying your
partner’s needs than your own. You prefer to lie back and wait for your partner to jump on you
and express her/his needs verbally or nonverbally. People who like yellow moons usually own
several pairs of handcuffs and other instruments of kinky sex just in case someone should
ever want to tie them up and ravish them.
• OAT BITS: If your favorite is the icky oat bits, then you probably don’t enjoy sex anyway. The
oat bits are very bland and boring, much like what your sex life is probably like. Good thing
you came tonight, because we can help you put some spice back into your life!

GAMES TO GET THIS PARTY STARTED!
DOOR PRIZE RAFFLE
Buy a roll of raffle tickets at your local office supply store. Give a ticket to each guest who is
on time or who brought a friend or two. Also have girls ask questions about your business,
and give a ticket for each question. Give a ticket to each person who can give a testimonial on
a product they’ve purchased. At the end of the show, have the hostess draw a ticket, and the
person with the winning number wins a prize or a percentage off her items.
INTRODUCTION USING THE LEFT - RIGHT GAME
Pick out a prize; hand the girls two or three net items to pass around. Each time you say the
words LEFT or RIGHT, they must pass the item in that direction. The guest left with the gift
gets to keep it.
I LEFT the house RIGHT on time to get to _______________’s house. I had everything I
needed to set up my display the RIGHT way, and place all of our wonderful products RIGHT
before your eyes. I would like to thank “________” RIGHT now for hosting this party. I hope
you LEFT the kids and your man at home, because this is a “Women’s only party.” And you
are all over “18,” RIGHT? But don’t worry if you LEFT your cash or checkbook at home, because we will also take Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Pure Romance
has all the RIGHT stuff to help you put the “O” RIGHT back in romance. So sit RIGHT back
and prepare to have a good time. When I begin passing around products, I suggest you use
your RIGHT hand for sniffin’ and your LEFT hand for lickin’. That way you don’t do lickin’ on
stuff you should be sniffin’. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have RIGHT
away. Or, if you have any questions LEFT at the end of the party, you can ask me in the
private ordering room—especially if they are more private in nature. The ordering room is
private, so that way no one knows what you LEFT with unless you come RIGHT out of the ordering room and dump your items RIGHT out of your bag. You also will get to take your entire
product order home with you RIGHT away tonight. If I run out of a product, I will mail it to you
RIGHT away. You should receive it in 7 to 10 business days or less, and the package will just
have my name and return address on the LEFT corner of the package. Now, let’s congratulate
the winner. She is patiently waiting to the LEFT of whoever is holding the prize. I know you are
all envious, because you wanted to win the prize, RIGHT? RIGHT! But, sorry, she is the one
who LEFT with it!
RECOGNIZING THE SPA PARTIES LINE
After demoing the Spa Parties line, play this game for cute ideas on how to use the products
to enhance relationships and to remind them what each product does. Change the story
around as you change the selection of Spa products that you choose to show at each party.
Add Pure Romance products to the story for more cross-selling power. Have each guest write
down a tally mark for each Spa or Pure Romance product name they recognize. The person
with the number of tallies closest to the actual number of product name mentions will win a
prize.
“(Hostess name) was excited. Today was her first anniversary. She was looking forward to a
romantic evening with her SOLE MATE. She had everything all planned. After a long relaxing
soak in the ROMANCE REMEDY, she washed with her favorite scented Romance Bubbles
and finished off with some Kiss. While drying off, she admired the tan she had from using her
SUNLESS TANNER. As she dressed in her new sexy lingerie, she thought of the best ways
to ENTICE her man and boost his EGO with her SMOOTH MOVES. She decorated the bedroom with the Bed of Roses. After her husband arrived home, she asked, “MIST ME today?”
“Of course!” he replied, and proceeded to GET FRESH. Following the trail of rose petals...
her husband found the HAND MAID card in which (hostess name) professed her love, while
the newest hit song “SCRUB ME TENDER” played softly in the background. With a SHOW
OF HANDS, (hostess name) brought out the Aura massage oil and began massaging her
husband’s back the way the Erotic Massage book had instructed her to. “When I finish, will
you be MY MASSUSE?” Of course! the happy hubby replied. But unfortunately, he became
so relaxed he fell asleep! She knew her husband had worked hard that day and decided
to let him sleep. (hostess name) then applied her CREME DE LE CALENDULA moisturizer
and prepared for bed herself! In the middle of the night her husband woke her up. Once she
smelled the Passion Fruit scent from the Time in a Bottle, she knew what he wanted. This
was only one of many Mini Nights of Passion the couple would share in EX-T-Cee.”
GIFT WRAP PACKAGE
Wrap your prize with a piece of the gift-wrap. Take that and wrap it 20 more times with newspaper, tissue paper, or anything inexpensive or free. Then for the final outer layer, wrap in the
novelty gift-wrap. At the beginning of your demo, give a key word. For example, you can use
the word “orgasm.” Each time you use the word, the first woman to yell “Pure Romance by
_______,” gets to steal the “Gift Package” and unwrap a layer. The woman who either has the
package at the end of the party, or who unwraps the final layer, wins the prize.
BODY CONDOMS
This is a game where you will have to give away two prizes. Have the women pair up. Each
team plays for the prize. Give each team a roll of plastic wrap. (Have the hostess purchase
plastic wrap if she chooses this game. An off brand is fairly inexpensive, but the plastic wrap
in the Cellulite Removal set works best.) Each team has three minutes to make the perfect
“BODY CONDOM.” One team member is the body for the condom, and the other covers her
in plastic wrap. You are the judge. Judge on creativity, coverage, and amount of plastic wrap
used. The more the better! Make sure you tell all the women what you judge on. It makes it
more fun! The women really love this game. Make sure you can spare the time. It’s a pretty
long game.
HOT SLIPPERY STRETCH
Make sure you have a tablecloth. Lay it on the floor. Have everyone pick a partner and put
partners on opposite sides of the tablecloth (standing up) facing each other. Then put lube
(Whipped or Just Like Me) in everyone’s hands. Have them rub their hands together and toss
the Super Stretch back and forth to each other. If they drop it, they are both out. Last two
standing win.
SNEAKY GAME
Play this game at the end of your demo. Have the ladies flip their order forms over and number from 1 to 20. Then tell them you going to read a description. Have them write down the
name of a lady they know that fits the description. You can only use a name one time! The
lady with the most names wins a prize.
1. Your next door neighbor
2. Someone married
3. A co-worker
4. Your beautician
5. Friend from the bank (JEANIE ATM DOES NOT COUNT!)
6. Someone divorced
7. Someone looking for a job
8. Sister-in-law
9. Your best friend
10. Family member (female only)
11. Someone who loves sex
12. Someone who hates sex
13. A blonde (fake or real!)
14. A single mother
15. Someone who loves her job
16. Someone who hates her job
17. Mother-in-law
18. Someone who has never been to a Pure Romance party
19. The hostess of this party
20. Mother of child’s playmate or friend
21. Anyone else who is not on your list.
You will have to repeat some of them. Ask who has the most names filled in, and that person
gets a prize! For number 15, did anyone put your name there? If so, she gets a prize, too.
15
16
Usually they don’t think to use your name and will leave it blank! Then say, “For those of you
booking a party tonight, you have started your guest list!” This is a quick and easy game, and
it gets the ladies thinking of booking a party!
Or— have them write the names of three friends, three relatives, three neighbors, and one
person they see on a regular basis (hair stylist, bank teller, doctor, etc.). First one to finish
wins, and now they already have a guest list for their party!
HOW LONG IS MY DONG?
Use the Double Header for this game. Hold it in the middle so the sides bounce up and down,
and ask all the ladies to guess, “How long is my dong?” Don’t let them hold it. Keep it in your
hands and keep it moving. Twirl it. Hold it from one end to the next and again in the middle.
The lady who guesses closest to the correct answer wins. (Make sure if there is a tie, you
have another game to be the tiebreaker or plenty of prizes.) The Double Header is 16 inches!
SECRET STASH
Put three to four small items in a Hide-a-Vibe Pillow, and have the guests try to figure out
what is in the pillow and how many items are in there without opening it! The closest with
the correct answers wins! You can even put the prize in the pillow so that when you show the
items, one of them is the secret prize the guest gets to keep.
ABSENT MIND
Tell each of your guests to come to the party with something that shows a lapse in memory.
For example, come to the party wearing only one sock or with only half of your makeup (on
one side of your face). Pass out paper and pencils, and give everyone ten minutes to see who
can guess the most memory lapses correctly.
DIRTY HEARTS
Make up three bags with gifts inside. Staple them shut and number them 1, 2, and 3. Remove all the hearts and spades from the Dick of Cards and then have the guests ask you
questions about your business. For every question they ask, they get one heart card and the
answer to their question. When you are out of heart cards, the game has just begun. Take the
spade card – call off that card--whoever has that card gets to trade it and choose one of the
bags (number 1, 2, or 3). When you call off the next card, that person can choose one of the
bags left, or she can steal a bag from one of the other girls. Continue to do this until you are
through the whole deck of cards. Whoever is left with the bags wins and keeps those bags.
This plants the recruiting seed in their heads! Use net items in the bags.
PLUMP PECKERS
An easy and funny game! All you need is a bag of marshmallows. The object of this game is
to stuff as many marshmallows as you can in your mouth and still say the words, “PLUMP
PECKERS.” Start by giving everyone five marshmallows. Have them put one marshmallow at
a time in their mouths and say, “Plump Peckers.” If everyone can handle those five, continue to
give one marshmallow at a time until there is only one woman left who can say the words.
FANTASY PENIS
Have the ladies take out their order forms, flip them over, and put the papers on top of their
folders/lapboards. Have them put the whole thing on top of their heads and attempt to draw
their fantasy penis. It must have a head, two testicles, and a long shaft. If they want to get creative, they can pierce it and make it fun. Have the hostess pick the best and the worst drawings. The giveaway prize: Peter Lipsticks.
PASS THE ORANGE
This fun-filled game is inexpensive and simple. The only supplies it requires are two oranges
and people with necks and chins. Divide the group into two teams. Say, “Go!” and the ladies
must pass their team’s orange, using only chins and necks. The team that can get the orange
to the last neck in line the quickest, without dropping it, wins.
DIRTY MINDS
I will give you a few hints, and you have to guess what I am describing. The lady with the

BANANA SCULPTURE
Ask your hostess to provide a nice, firm banana for each guest. They should be a little green,
so they don’t break. Have everyone peel their banana and sculpt a penis using only their
mouths. You can time it, and the first one finished wins! OR, let the hostess pick the best one
for the prize. The women really have a ball with this one! It’s so much fun to watch, too!! You
can purchase clay or play dough instead and have them do the same thing—best one wins.
PENIS PLENTY
This is a great game. It’s quick when you need extra time for demos at a large party. Use a
canning jar (or any medium-sized jar) and fill it with penis erasers. Hold the jar up for all party
guests to see, and then put the jar away. Give each guest a piece of paper (use one of our
doodle pads), and then hold the jar up again for 15 seconds. Have each lady write down the
number of penises she thinks are in the jar and sign her name. The lady who submits the
closest number without going over wins! It’s pretty to look at and fun to do!
JINGLES
Read the following quotes and have the guests try to figure out where the saying came from.
The one that guesses the most wins.
1. “Because I am worth it!” – L’Oreal
2. “Nothing says lovin’ like fresh from the oven” – Pillsbury
3. “Double your pleasure, double the fun” – Doublemint Gum
4. “Oh, what a feeling!” – Toyota

20. “The quicker picker upper” – Bounty
21. “Snap, crackle & pop” – Rice Crispies cereal
22. “Got the hunger” – Snickers
23. “It’s a beautiful thing” – Hanes
RING MY BELL SPECIAL
When the hostess’ home phone rings for the FIRST TIME ONLY after your announcement,
whatever product you are showing goes on sale for 30% off. Anytime a cell phone rings, the
percentage drops by 10%—even if it’s on vibrate. If they answer, it counts. You will see everyone turning cell phones OFF completely—not on vibrate. You will have enough vibrators for
them.
TIC-TAC-TOE
Have your guests draw a big Tic-Tac-Toe board on the back of the order form. Then have
them write one item they like or an item they have any questions about in each square. At the
end of your lotions demo, as you are putting your products away, shout out names of items.
(Make sure to call off those net items and case items first!) When someone has three in a
row, have them stand up and shout Dic-Dac-Doe! You can play until there are two winners.
SUCK THOSE NUTS
Supplies needed: Straws, small paper cups, peanut M&M’s. Put five M&M’s in each cup and
pass out one cup and a straw to each guest. Then have her dump out the M&M’s in one
hand, hold the cup in the other, and put the straw in her mouth. She must suck through the
straw and pick up the M&M’s with the other end of the straw and put them in the cup. The
first lady to get all M&M’s in the cup wins. When each guest is finished, have her scream out
something— orgasm, sex, Pure Romance by Ann—whatever you choose.
TOUCHY FEELY
Place a product in each of six bags. Seal the tops of the bags and write a number from 1-6
on each bag. Give players answer sheets numbered from 1-6. Pass the bags around in a
circle so each guest can try to identify what’s in the bag by feeling it. For each bag they touch,
they must write down a guess. Anyone who breaks a bag while “feeling” it is out. The lady
who guesses the most items correctly wins a prize bag. Make sure you remember what bag
number the prize is in.
PIN THE HOSE
This game really needs little explanation. Laminate a poster of an attractive male and cut out
different pictures of “hoses” or any other garden tools. The “hoses” are to be taped on the
poster while each person is blindfolded. Whoever gets closest wins.
POWER POP
Give each guest a balloon (already blown up and tied) that contains a strip of paper inside.
Have each participant use any method she possibly can to try and pop the balloon. One
strip of paper should have the hostess’ name on it, but the rest can have things like “You get
nothing,” “No prize for you,” “Try again,” etc. The guest who pops the balloon with the hostess’ name in it wins a prize! You also can do this for party bookings. Put prizes on the papers
inside the balloon, and a guest can only pop a balloon if she is going to book a party.
CROSSED OUT
As your guests arrive, give every few people who arrive on time a small gift. (For example,
you can give every fourth person a gift (or give the gifts however you choose). As soon as
everyone is sitting, tell the group about the “no crossing” rule. If a lady holding a gift is caught
crossing her legs, she must relinquish her gift to the person who catches her. This game
should be played for the entire length of the party. At the end of the party, everyone who has
a gift gets to open it. (If a person who already has a gift catches someone with a gift crossing
her legs, she can either trade gifts with that person, or choose a person who is “giftless” to
give the extra gift to.)
PURSE TREASURE HUNT
Have each lady put her purse on her lap. Yell out an item and have the ladies look for that
item in their purses. Start out with easy things and make them crazier as you go along. For
example, start with something like a driver’s license and finish with something like hand lotion or baby items. Award a prize to the first person to pull each item out of her purse. This is
similar to the “What is in My Purse?” game, except that instead of the person with the most
points winning a prize, in this game each person who finds the item first will get a prize. It is
19
20
best to use smaller prizes for this game, such as Dic Tax, Doodle Pads, Glow Condoms, and
Peter Lipstick.
WHOSE PJ’S ARE THESE?
Tell the hostess to have all her guests bring their pj’s to the party. She should collect all the
pj’s as the guests arrive and place them in a bag. Then have the guests number a piece of
paper with the number of guests at the party (including the hostess). Hold up a set of pj’s and
say, “#1,” and the ladies have to guess who owns the pj’s. (I wouldn’t have the hostess play as
she would know or remember whose pj’s she collected.) The person with the most correct answers wins. This is better for a party where the guests are all good friends or at a party where
everyone knows everyone else’s name. Or, everyone should wear nametags.
DESCRIBE ME
What is everyone’s first impression of other partygoers? As guests arrive, make sure each
lady gets a pen and an index card taped to her back. Have your guests mingle and meet each
other. As people get to know each other a little bit better, each guest should write her first
impression of the person she’s meeting on their backs. Make sure to tell your guests to write
funny things, but to stay away from anything resembling rude or mean comments. Write things
like “quick wit,” “bedroom eyes,” “million dollar smile,” “hot stepper,” etc. After about 15-20 minutes, have each person read the card off the adjacent person’s back for a few laughs.
SIGN MY ARM
No, this is not a game like “Pull My Finger!” Give all of your guests a marker, and have everyone at the party put a paper bag over their signing hand (arm). When the hostess says,
“Go,” each lady in the room must obtain as many signatures as she can. It isn’t as easy as it
sounds, though, because people have to keep the paper bag on their signing hand (so they
must sign with the opposite hand). At the end of three minutes, the person with the most signatures is the winner.
WIENERS
This game is hilarious! The object is to ask a question of the person sitting next to you, and
the person sitting next to you must answer the question with the word “wieners,” and only this
word. She cannot smile, grin, or laugh, or she is out. The last woman in wins the prize. Pick a
lady to start and go clockwise. Have the lady who is asking draw a question out of your “Jar of
Questions.” Let her draw her question when it is her turn. This element of surprise makes the
game more fun. Here are some questions to use.
1. What do you brush your hair with?
2. What is your favorite time of the day?
3. What did you read in bed last night?
4. What do you put in your coffee?
5. What is the name of your dog or cat?
6. What’s your fantasy?
7. What is your favorite body part of your significant other?
8. Jack and Jill went up the?
9. Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled?
10. “Frankly Scarlet I don’t give a __?”
11. Michigan, home of the Great?
12. Santa?
14. We the---___?
15. Mary had a little?
16. Humpty Dumpty had a great?
17. What’s that in your hair?
18. What are you thinking about right now?
19. My middle name is....
20. April showers bring May?
21. What’s the first thing you do in the morning?
22. What do you shower with?
Use your imagination and have fun! This game will keep you rolling on the ground.
WHAT IF
Give each woman a scrap piece of paper; have her write a question that has to do with sex!
Like what if he had a 10-inch penis or what if he wanted to have a threesome! All kinds of
questions will come out!! It is HILIARIOUS!! Then you have them pass their question to the
right and when they get their NEW question, they have to ANSWER that NEW question! Then
I start with the hostess, have her read her new question, and then the girl next to her has to
read her answer on her paper in response! The results are crazy! It also gives you an idea of
what KIND of group you are dealing with!
FOOD SLOGAN GAME
Have you ever noticed that a lot of the foods on the market have some dirty minded slogan??? Give each guest a piece of paper and whoever can write down seven dirty slogans
first will win a prize. Examples: Burger King: Home of the big Whopper. M&M’s: Melts in your
mouth, not in your hand. Almond Joy: Sometimes you feel like a nut. KFC: Finger lickin’ good.
Nutrageous: You don’t eat it, you survive it! Twizzlers: Makes mouths happy. Maxwell House:
Good to the last drop. Bubble Yum: Blow your own bubble. Tootsie Pop: How many licks does
it take to get to the center? McDonalds: I’m loving it. Nike: Just Do It. Yellow Pages: Let Your
fingers do the walking. Coca Cola: It’s the Real Thing. Energizer: Keeps going and going…
Chevy: Like a Rock. Pringles: Once you pop, you can’t stop. Diet Pepsi: You got the right one,
baby. Toyota: Oh, What a Feeling! Double Mint: Double your pleasure, double your fun! Kawasaki: Keep on riding. Campbell’s: MMM MMM good. AT&T: Reach out and touch someone.
Starburst: The juice is loose. Almond Joy and Mounds: Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don’t.

SALES GOALS
The Sales Goals Game is a way to increase sales at parties. Plus, it keeps people around at
the end to help carry your totes.
To help tonight’s hostess boost sales and increase her FREE PRODUCT and GIFT potential, here is a special challenge for you. For every $20.00 in purchases (before shipping and
tax), you will get to write your name on any line below. At the end of the party, if all lines are
filled, it means that the hostess has reached a total of $1000.00 in sales and she will receive
$100.00 in FREE PRODUCT and an additional FREE GIFT!
We will then draw a number, and the lucky lady whose name is on the line drawn will get a
FREE GIFT also.
It’s that easy!

SPA PARTIES TIC TAC TOE
After demonstrations and before placing orders, have the ladies put one item in each spot that
they like. Then read your story...first one to get Tic Tac Toe wins.
This was
only one of many Mini Nights of Passion the couple would share in EX-T-Cee.”
FRUIT SALAD AT HOME
You can use this in your demo as a foreplay idea and to promote up selling. This is a game
idea for your guests to take home with them.
“Ladies, does everyone here get enough foreplay?” (Usually there is one in the crowd that
says “Yes.” Joke with her a little by saying, “No one likes a bragger, dear,” or something similar).
“Well, here is a foreplay idea for you to use when you are in the mood. First, get in the shower.
When you get out, tell your partner to get in and to wash all body parts really well because
you’re gonna play!”
“Ladies, by the time he gets out, he will be your own dancing towel rack, or wash cloth for
some of us, but that’s all good, too. (Dance around holding your finger as a “stiffy” while saying that part.) While he is in the shower, take a couple of different Sensations flavors and put
little dots all over your body. Be sure to put one somewhere on your flip side (neck, shoulder,
hip, behind the knee). Then when he comes dancing in ready to go, you just tell him that it’s
Fruit Salad for dessert, and he has to find all the flavors! If he misses one, then he has to
start all over at the top! That’s why we put one on the “flip” side! Don’t forget to put his favorite flavor where you want him to stay the longest! That is the Fruit Salad game!”
Tip: If you have shown X-Scream, then you can suggest Mandarin for the time spent downtown.
FACT OR MYTH?
List statements that are both facts and myths about sex. Give each person a sheet from one
of the Doodle Pads. Read off the list, and the ladies have to write down whether they think
it’s a fact(F) or myth(M). You can give a prize for the most correct answers. Example of some
statements: 80% of women need clitoral stimulation to reach an orgasm (F). Cock Rings
help maintain erections longer (F). Monkeys are the only other mammals that have sex for
pleasure (M). Only single women use bedroom accessories (M). The more you use a vibrator, the less you need a man (M). Two orgasms weekly can add 2 years to your life (F). Get
it? The list could go on and on. Many of the facts can be found in the wonderful books we sell
and in the Bi-Monthly content given out. Let’s face it... we’ve all heard loads of myths!
DO YOU KNOW JOHN HOLMES
John Holmes. Do you know who he is? John Holmes was a porn star, famous for the length of
his erect penis. How long was it?
• 9 inches
• 12 inches
• 14 inches
• 19 inches
Answer: 14 inches
His prized possession was said to be between 13-14 inches long and starred in more than
2,000 porn films. He was riding high, so to speak, until his life declined into violent crime. The
movie Boogie Nights is loosely based on his life story. But he wasn’t the biggest man; oh no.
Long Dong Silver of 19 inches was more than 5 times the average length of a man by 5 inches.
“Than you can hold up the double header and explain to them that he is only 16 inches...You
will get a lot of ‘Oh My God’s.’
HAVE IT....LOVE IT
Recommended to play with groups that have been to parties before. Get some candy and
have a good time! Every time a guest at your party sees something that she already has and
loves she should say, “Have it....Love it.” You then throw her a piece of candy. The guests are
then able to see what their friends like, and it will make them more interestedin the product
that you’re getting ready to demo. You also can give a prize to the person with the most
candies at the end....maybe some “COME CLEAN” because they are obviously not “Party
Virgins.” That can make it fun and humorous.

HOSTESS BINGO
Make a board similar to those used for Bingo. In different squares, write different goals. The
goals can be anything you choose, or you can use some of the goals listed below:
• Place a reminder call to guests the evening before the party.
• Keep the original date for the party.
• Receive two party bookings from your party.
• Collect two outside orders.
• Have a party over $500.
• Have your wish list ready for the products you would like.
• Have at least 12 or more guests.
• Choose a preferred date.
• Free Space
• Help carry bins for the party.
• Get $200 in outside orders.
• Get one party booking prior to party.
• Get two parties booked prior to party.
• Pre-sell one item over $50.
For every row she gets a bingo, give a net item as a gift. If she fills the sheet, you can give her
a higher priced vibrator ($60 or more) or a Love Swing. The two parties must be held before
she receives the gift. This helps for party bookings and higher party totals!
Another option for Pure Romance Bingo is to use product names and opportunities in the
squares. The last square to be covered when someone gets bingo is the prize If the square
is ‘Business Opportunity’ or ‘Hostess Incentives.’ They should receive a packet of information
and a small net item. We have provided you with several sample bingo cards to use, or you
can make up your own. If you would like to use the ones provided, you can copy them from
your book, cut out the cards, and have them laminated so they can be reused. The Bingo
cards say ‘Party’ instead of Bingo across the top and side, and have product names in each
of the squares. There is not a free space in this version. The Bingo cards can be used the
same way you use the standard cards. For example: P –Nympho Niagara, A –Basic Instinct,
Y X-Scream or PY Sensations. Call out product names, hostess incentives, business opportunities, or anything else that is Pure Romance related. The first one to yell “Party” will win a
prize.

decide). Next to each letter, write as many alternate names for sex, penis, vagina, male erections…whatever you can think of. For example: If you spell “winter” and tell them to think of
alternate words for the penis, it may look like this:

* wiener, who-who dilly, Willie, wang
* inchworm

CHRISTMAS LEFT- RIGHT GAME
T’was the night before Christmas and all was just RIGHT, the candlelight twinkled, what a
beautiful sight! Friends were coming RIGHT over in a minute or two. I scurried about with so
much LEFT to do! Now just as I thought I’d LEFT nothing undone, I knew something wasn’t
RIGHT-how could I be so dumb? To the RIGHT were the Kahlua, the Bailey’s, and the Rum.
The cream and the coffee-the food! Oh yum-yum! What could it be that’s not RIGHT? I’m a
dope! I remembered the rum-but LEFT out the Coke! RIGHT at that moment I dashed RIGHT
out the door! Jumped RIGHT in the car—my RIGHT foot hit the floor! I backed RIGHT out
the drive and turned LEFT down the lane. Was I in my RIGHT mind, or was I insane? Was
there enough time LEFT to get it all done? Was this the RIGHT way to get coke for the rum?
I hoped and I prayed that I was heading the RIGHT way! I turned RIGHT and wondered, “Are
any stores LEFT open today?” I made a RIGHT turn onto Maple Oak Way, pulled RIGHT
up to the store, it was open—hooray! I LEFT the car running, as I ran RIGHT into the store.
Found the Coke, turned LEFT, and almost slipped on the floor! I paid for the soda, ran RIGHT
out to my car, and opened the LEFT door, which was already ajar. Not much LEFT to do
except go RIGHT back in a rush. My RIGHT hand turned the mirror; my hair needed a brush!
My mouth fell RIGHT open as I pulled up the drive. Oh my goodness, the guests had already
arrived! I ran RIGHT out of the car and RIGHT into my room, changed my clothes, brushed
my hair, and LEFT with a zoom! Well, it all turned out fine. The night was just RIGHT. Everyone was happy, cheerful, and bright. RIGHT now I have just one thing LEFT to cheer. Have a
very Merry Christmas and a RIGHT nice New Year!
RIGHT/LEFT BUNNY GAME
Once again, Easter is RIGHT around the corner. Peter Cottontail is working himself RIGHT
up to losing his LEFT whiskers, not wanting a repeat of last Easter. On the night before
Easter, before everyone LEFT the chocolate shop, Peter stopped RIGHT in front of the
RIGHT side door. He wiggled his LEFT ear, and then his RIGHT, twitched his RIGHT whiskers, then the ones on the LEFT. Something was not quite RIGHT. The basket of Easter eggs
was missing! Everyone panicked and went to look for it RIGHT away! They looked LEFT,
RIGHT, LEFT, then RIGHT again. It was nowhere to be seen. Peter was not going to give up.
It should have been RIGHT where he LEFT it. Those eggs needed to go to all the boys and
girls on Easter morning. Suddenly, Peter’s RIGHT-hand bunny remembered RIGHT where
he had LEFT it. RIGHT to the LEFT of the beginning of the bunny trail! So on Easter morning,
Peter Cottontail hopped LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, RIGHT down the
bunny trail to deliver baskets full of Easter joy!!!

Chapter Two: Tips
GET YOUR HOSTESS WORKING FOR YOU
When you book your shows, let your hostess know you have a booking special. The special
goes as follows.
If she gets three bookings at her show for the following month, she will get double booking
credit when all three shows hold.
When coaching your hostess, remind her of this special when you make all your phone calls
to her. Reminding her of how much more free product her friends can earn for her. Mention
the special in your opening speech, as her friends are sure to help her out.
HOSTESS PACKETS
• Hostess Credit form
• 2 order forms and 2 catalogs
• 25 invitations (unless they request more)
• Anything else you feel might be helpful to your hostess – tips, bingo, who to invite, blank
guest list, etc.
Don’t hand out Hostess Packets too early (4 weeks or more out) unless they request them....
When you mail the packet, make sure to incorporate a little message on the back of the
envelope.... “Please Call or Email me to Confirm Receiving your Packet & Party Date ~ Thank
You So Much.” This helps you hold the Hostesses accountable for their parties and gets them
“excited” again about their party while keeping the communication going until the party actually holds.
CALENDAR CONTROL
Keep your calendar up to date. Highlight special days in certain colors to indicate you really
want to work that day - this can entice customers if you say that yellow days will get an additional free gift or discount. Pick a color to indicate days you do not want to work. Offer them
suggested dates based on the days you have open that you want to work. Make your calendar
look like you are busy – fill in fake parties (or other appointments and events?). If you are in
demand, they are more likely to want to get their party in your calendar right away instead of
waiting.
Put a “star” by their name in your calendar once you have mailed a Hostess Packet, and give
them four days to call you back to confirm. If they call you first, circle the “star” to show she’s
probably a serious Hostess ready to have her party on the date chosen. If after four days you
don’t hear back, call to see if she received the packet or if there is a problem with the party.
BOOKING SPECIALS
For help with booking parties, we have a few suggestions that have proven to be successful
for other Consultants in the past. These creative booking techniques should help you to grow
your business.
• Offer Free Basic Instinct if they book and hold a weeknight party.
• Envelope Bookings:
1. Take a business size envelope
2. Put a gift certificate inside (amount is your choice)
3. Put three sticky notes on the outside.
a. One should say book and hold a party in 20 days get “blank” FREE
b. One should say book and hold a party in 30 days get “blank” FREE
c. One should say book and hold a party in 40 days get “blank” FREE
4. Then I make up five of these envelopes (different amounts in each envelope)
5. Have your hostess pick one of the five envelopes. Then I tell her have ALL three of the
sticky notes gone by the end of the party and she will be able to redeem the gift certificate
inside when all three parties are held.
• Why this works so well.
• Your hostess is working for you while you are doing your demo.
• Every lady wants a little something extra.
• The best part: Let’s say she does get all three booked, and two weeks down the road Suzie
Q cancels her party. Call the hostess and say, “Wow, I am so sorry Suzie Q cancelled her
party because that is going to make your gift certificate void.” Then give her 48 hours to see if
another friend would like to host one for her so the certificate is still good.
• Display an envelope with a gift certificate inside for the current hostess. Put three Post-It
notes to be taken by party bookers on the outside of the envelope. Use specials that apply
to your situation, like book on a weeknight within 30 days and get one item 1/2 price at your
party. Book any night and get Mini Nights of Passion free. Book an afternoon party and get
15% hostess credit. If all three Post-its get taken and booked, the current hostess gets $45 in
products for the three parties, plus the gift certificate inside.
• Use the envelope idea but change it to say “book the 1st -10th,” “book the 11th - 21st,”
“book the 22nd - 31st” - this forces them to book during the week to get the “free gift” listed for
those dates instead of filling up your weekends.
• When you demo toys, if the Silver Bullet is the first item, tell them all about it and how it’s
every woman’s best friend. Then tell them that anyone that books a party with you that night
will receive a free Silver Bullet the night of her party. This has worked wonders for Board
members! On average you will book at least two people from every show.
• Offer 1/2 off pricing at parties held only during the week – Decadent Indulgence, Basic
Instinct, Mini Nights of Passion.
• For the first 10 days of the month, that much more in hostess credit (example: book on
March 5th get an additional 5% hostess credit). Offer specials to the guests who are there,
such as the envelope idea, to get the rest of the month filled up.
• Offer a free gift for parties booked during the week - 1st week - free Basic Instinct; 2nd week
- free Mini Nights of Passion; 3rd week - free Nympho Niagra; 4th week - any item (regular
price $10.00 or lower) for free. Tip: This is especially great if you order by the case because
you get two free in a case.
• All hostesses could be entered in a drawing to win a basketful of products.
• Offer a free Silver Bullet for all orders over $100.00 to increase party sales. Tip: Stock up on
the Silver Bullets when they are 25 for $100 so it’s only costing you $4 to get that $100 order.
WEEK NIGHT BOOKINGS
When you do weeknight parties, it’s very important to “Cut Back” on the amount of products you demo so you are not at their house too late at night. (This is a major concern when
potential Hostess’s have children that need to be in bed by a certain time for school). Also,
many Hostesses believe they can’t have a “good party” unless it is on a weekend; this is
where you have to “work it’ and show them how they can have just as good if not better party
during the weeknight! (Especially during summer months when weekends are filled with
graduations, showers, weddings, and vacations)
Offer Hostesses 15% of their party sales if they book a party Monday ~ Thursday, and actually show them what they can get free if they have a party with “X” amount of Sales on a Mon-
33

day compared to a Friday with close to or the same number of people in attendance. (Sometimes you literally have to spell it out for them!) Make up a special flyer that “shows” them the
difference and the potential they have to earn more in Free Product... when they have something spelled out to them, they understand it better and book with you for that weeknight most
of the time.
Example:
$500 party on Friday with 10 in attendance gets you a minimum of $50 in Free Spending!
(10% Sales)
$500 party on Monday with 8 in attendance gets you a minimum of $75 in Free Spending!!
(15% Sales)
USING THE PURE ROMANCE GIFT CERTIFICATES
Getting bookings the night of a party is the best and easiest way to fill your Calendar faster,
but many don’t like to commit right away... So how do you get them to commit? By offering a
deal they can’t refuse and getting your Hostess involved, too! It works great to get bookings
that night and really doesn’t cost any more than other incentives!
Offer a $20 Gift Certificate to any guest that books a party that night! If they do book a party
that night, the Hostess also will get an item at 40% off... so if three guests book for the Hostess, she still gets her normal credits and a bonus of three ~ 40% off items, and she gets the
bonus that night. (This costs you nothing.) Now each guest that books in turn gets a Gift Certificate filled out with the actual party date they’ve chosen. Explain to them that it’s like extra
spending money for her to use once the party holds on the date the Gift Certificate is filled out
for. Notify her or note on the bottom or back of the Gift Certificate that if she reschedules or
cancels the party date, the Gift Certificate is null and void, and it’s only good through you, her
Consultant.
PUSH WEEK
Push Week is a simple promotion. Offer a net item, such as Basic Instinct or New Hide- aVibe pillow, for the price of the date they book. What you will see happen is they will not pick a
date at the end of the month; they will pick a date at the beginning so they will pay less for the
item. You will quickly fill up the first two weeks of your month. You then fill up the second half
of your month with bookings from those parties.
MINI NIGHTS BOOKINGS
Open Mini Nights of Passion. Inside each of your hostess packets, put one of the sample
bottles from the Mini Nights of Passion. Attach to it a note stating, “Turn this sample into a full
size if you have three bookings or if you have $150 in outside orders waiting for me when I arrive at your party.” Then when you book a new hostess, explain the booking gift to her so that
she can start working for you!
THE $1 HOSTESS GAME
Pure Romance Consultant Cassi Bombich once received a survey from a reputable company
in the mail. Inside was a brand new dollar bill to show appreciation for her time in filling it out.
Normally, she would have thrown the survey away; after all, we are too busy, right? Well, not
this time. This survey had a hold on her guilty conscience (as most of us women have.). If she
threw the survey away, she did not earn this dollar. Throwing the dollar away was just not a
good idea, either. So she filled out the survey, kept the dollar, and kept living a guilt-free life.
This game has the same concept. Book a party with you; hang on to a dollar with a note
(below) attached to it. When the party takes place, the dollar becomes a $10 credit toward her
purchases. If the party cancels, she can keep the dollar as a token of your appreciation for
trying. Only mention it during the booking. This way if they truly are unsure about the date they
booked, they will double and triple check before wasting a Friday or Saturday on the calendar.
Sometimes you have to spend money to make money, and in the scheme of it all, most of
the dollars come back. This really works! Cassi has a very low rate of cancellations. And any
cancellations that she does have WANT to rebook because they have her dollar.
Sample Note below:
TURN THIS $1 INTO $10
This dollar is a token of my gratitude for agreeing to host a Pure Romance party with me and
booking a solid date. Hold on to this dollar and turn it in to me, and I will give you a $10 credit
toward your purchase that evening in addition to the other benefits of being a hostess. If you
do not hold your party or the date changes, well at least we tried and you can keep this $1 as
a token of my appreciation. It’s that easy!
*Party must be held on original date booked. No exceptions. Non-transferable.

BULLET BOOKING PROGRAM
This program can encourage ladies to book the night of the party. The hostess is excited
about this program, too, because she also can benefit from it. In addition to her normal
hostess and booking credits for each party booked, she also gets a bullet bonus for parties
booked on the night of her party. The bullet bonus is based on how many bookings she gets
that night.
• 1 booking-she receives 15% off the price of the Silver Bullet
• 2 bookings-free Silver Bullet
• 3 bookings-free Home Alone
• 4 bookings-free Bullet Blaster
BUSINESS CARD COMBO
This is an inexpensive way to market yourself and your business. Rather than just handing
out business cards, hand them a little gift and coupons along with the business card. The idea
here is to give her something that is an incentive for her to book a party or place an order with
you. Instead of just handing out business cards, we suggest passing out either all of the following or make up your own combination of gifts from the list below:
• Official Pure Romance Business Card
• Ink pen from www.myromancestore.com
• Mild Catalog
• Sample from the Mini Nights of Passion and attach a small card with directions on how to
use it.
• Coupon for booking a party on one side and coupon for placing a phone/internet order on
the other.
The coupons can be redeemed for additional free gifts by presenting the coupon at the party
or mentioning when placing a phone order or even an extra discount on item of choice or the
entire order.
For example:
Present this coupon at your party and receive a free Basic Instinct!
Mention this coupon when placing your phone/internet order and receive 10% off an item of
your choice.
Mention this coupon when placing your phone/internet order and receive 15% off of your
order total.
35
36
The coupon should be printed on card stock paper. The introduction can be changed for the
current season or holiday, for example: Sweetest Day is just around the corner… or ‘Make
your Labor Day extra special’...or Halloween is here; treat yourself to something tasty--receive
an extra 10% off any flavored product of your choice. The possibilities are endless. Remember to be creative and use your imagination. Be sure to note on the card that phone, email, or
Internet orders are eligible for the discount until midnight on the expiration date you choose.
Most importantly, remember to put your first and last name, telephone number, email address,
and third-party website address if you have one. You also can use a general introduction on
your coupon if you want to be able to use the same all year long. Including a small card with
your hostess program and any specials you are currently offering is a great way to encourage
booking, and you also can tell them to call or email you if they would like a catalog with our
full product line. By handing out the Mild Catalog, you are giving the ladies a sneak preview
of what you have to offer and at the same time giving them recruiting information and facts on
hosting a party. Do not forget to stamp the back of every catalog with your name and contact
information. If you do not already have a stamp or labels,* you will want to make this investment quickly because it will be prove to be very beneficial for your business.
*You can purchase a rubber stamp or personalized labels from the MyRomanceStore.com.
This is the official authorized dealer for Pure Romance Consultants who are looking to purchase personalized Pure Romance clothing, moneybags, pens, stamps, labels, and other promotional accessories, such as collapsible Koozies, hand towels, and totes. Note: MICHELE
– IS THIS STILL TRUE? You can use the labels not only for your catalogs and recruiting brochures. but also for labeling all of your products. If your customer runs out of any products or
even just wants to place another order, she will always have your information to call you when
she is ready to stock up again or try something new.
ENVELOPE BOOKINGS
Supplies:
• Business size envelope
• 3 business cards
• Pure Romance Gift Certificates *
Put your Gift Certificate in your envelope and do not tell the hostess how much is inside the
envelope. Put three of your business cards on the outside of the envelope. On the top of the
card write, “Book and hold a party within 20 days, receive any item _ off.” On the second card
write, “Book and hold a party within 30 days and receive the ladies ultimate package** free,”
and on the third card write, “Book and hold a party in 40 days and receive mini nights of passion _ price.” These are only examples that have been suggested by other Consultants, and
the prizes can vary according to whatever you would like to give away.
At the beginning of the party, give the envelope to the hostess and let her know that if all three
business cards are taken by the end of the night, she will be able to open and redeem the
gift certificate when all three parties are held. This will get your hostess to continue working
for you. If one of her bookings cancels, call the hostess and let her know. A 2- or 3-day grace
period can be given for the hostess to find another friend to take her place as a hostess. (*Gift
certificates can be purchased from the Corporate Office and are listed under Paper items. **
Ladies Ultimate Package is one Ex-T-Cee, Nympho Niagara, and X-scream.)
“I have only had to do this at no more than a dozen parties and only one time I did not get
three or more bookings…the two times (a party cancelled), both hostesses found me another
party lead.”--Dawn Hood
“I really liked this idea. When I tried this promotion, I used three envelopes, put a gift certificate in each, told the hostess to pick one, the certificate could be from $25-$75 but she won’t
know until she gets three bookings. I also used post-it notes; this way I could just stick the
post-it on the date they booked and I would know what promotion they picked.”--Kelly Anson
Tip: Run specials during the holiday season to promote more bookings. This particular special
can be used for any holiday.
“Be a Christmas Hostess”
Receive:
• X-Scream for the price of the day you book
• A free Silver bullet for having a $300 party or Home Alone for a $500 party
• Book your party Monday through Thursday and receive the “Tickle Your Fancy”book for only
$10.00! You save $5.00!
Tip: You also can offer 35% off any one item for weekday parties.
• Book tonight and the hostess will receive $15.00 booking credit once the party holds. Book
within 10 days, and the hostess will get $20.00. Book a party Monday-Thursday and receive
15% off your party sales rather than 10%.
PRE-PARTY INCENTIVES!
• For every party booked with you before the party starts, I will give you a $15 credit once that
scheduled party holds. If a party is booked the night of the party, it is a $10 credit. The booked
party must have at least $150 in sales to qualify for the credit.
• For every outside order collected before the party starts, give an additional $1 off the hostess’ order the night of the party. This is in addition to the regular 10% credit off the sales.
• Print up cards to use for booking incentives - put the cards in Valentine’s Day bags you can
get at the dollar store. Let the Hostesses choose one if they book on a weeknight or a certain
day that you choose. Here are examples shown below:

TIPS FROM THE TOP
STEALING HEARTS GAME
Recommended by Patty Brisben as a great recruiting game for your parties!
What you will need:
Dick of Cards
3-4 small gifts (Net Items wrapped in tissue paper)
Directions:
Remove all of the heart cards and diamond cards from the deck. Put them in two separate
piles.
“What better way to a woman’s heart than with diamonds!”
Tell the women at your party that for every question they ask about your business, they will
receive a heart card. They can keep asking questions until all 13 cards are given away.
The more questions they ask, the more chances they have of winning a prize that you designate for them.
Examples of questions they might ask:
How did you get started?
How long have you been with Pure Romance?
How much money are you able to make?
How do you book parties?
Do you attend meetings or trainings to help with your business?
Shuffle the diamond cards and pick out a card. Flip over the first card; the individual with the
heart card that matches the diamond card you have just drawn gets to choose a gift from one
of three you offered. The individual with the heart card that matches the diamond card you
draw next gets to either choose a gift from the remaining two, or “steal” the gift from the gal
who took the first gift. The individual that has the heart card that matches the diamond card
you draw the third time gets to choose either the remaining gift or steal one of the gifts that
have already been chosen. With each card drawn, the stealing continues until the last card is
drawn. Whoever has the gifts at the end gets to keep the gifts. This means that the prizes will
be stolen between any women at the party, and you won’t know the winners until the last card
is drawn!
This is a wonderfully fun way to break the ice, get women laughing and enjoying themselves,
as well as planting recruiting seeds!
PUTTING TOGETHER A RECRUIT PACKET
If you are not willing to put together a wonderful recruit packet --you may as well not bother.
Have your recruit packets ready to roll out as soon as anyone expresses any inkling of interest in the job opportunity. Here’s what Leslie Zay, Executive Advisory Board, suggests you
include in your packets (or as much of this as possible).
• Signed PRCA
• Stamped Addressed envelope to the Corporate Office.
• A Brag Book
• Your professionally written, typed personal success story with Pure Romance.
• A current Kit Comparison sheet.
• Top 10 questions asked about Pure Romance (written by Amy Harris from Mentor, OH).
• A Pure Romance invitation
• Order form
• Product Brochure
• Personalized pecker pen
• Your Official Business Card
• Personal note from you exclaiming how you will be happy to help her get going.
• A current copy of Inspire and a recruiting DVD (include a stamped return envelope so that
you can get it back and keep your DVD’s in circulation).
Follow your packet information with a phone call a few days later to see if she has any questions...reel her in!
PREPARE WITH A PAPER PARTY
Always try to make up hostess and recruit packets ahead of time and take them to your shows,
so you are one step ahead when someone books a party or requests information about becoming a Consultant. Schedule a “Paper Party”. That is when several Consultants converge at
someone’s house (or office after hours), and we bring all of our “stuffings” to make up packets.
We spend several hours chit chatting with each other and making up both hostess and recruit
packets. It’s a fun way to make sure you’re always prepared to grow your business!

INFORMATION FOR NEW RECRUITS:
3 OBLIGATIONS WHEN BECOMING A CONSULTANT
1. Purchase a kit.
2. Attend two to three parties for observation and training.
3. Qualify. Purchase $250 of Retail product within 30 days of the day that you purchased your
kit. This should not be coming out of your pocket since it will be coming from your first party.
To make qualifying easier, you can purchase the Surefire Qualifier.
TO STAY A CONSULTANT
You need to make a purchase every other month to stay an active Consultant.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A CONSULTANT
1. Make a list of everyone and anyone you can think of to book a party within the next two
weeks (friends, family, co-workers, hairdresser, dry cleaners, etc.).
2. Make two to five phone calls a night to people from your list or any other potential hostesses.
3. Tell everyone about your business, and see if they are interested in helping you out with
booking a party, placing an order, or buying a square. (THIS WILL BOOST SALES.)
4. Read your handbook over and over again. Ask questions about what you do not understand.
5. Watch the DVD over and over again.
6. File for a tax ID or vendor’s license.
7. Questions should always be written down.
8. Have your party booking and rep packets ready to roll out. Be sure to have information
on becoming a recruit ready to go out the door at your show--complete with the awesome
new brag pieces. This will save you time and postage expense. BE SURE TO SIGN YOUR
PRCA, or don’t be surprised if your new recruit falls into the lap of another gal!!! This is YOUR
responsibility!!!
THINGS YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE BESIDES YOUR KIT
1. Three or four Rubbermaid tubs for product storage
2. Ink pens
3. Name labels
OFFICE SUPPLIES LIST
• Moneybag or box
• Calculator
• Labels – For catalogs, product reorders, etc.
• Self-inking stamp w/name, phone #, and e-mail – for invitations and invoices
• Bag or briefcase
• Three-ring binders, cut in half, to use as lapboards
WHERE TO GO WHEN YOU ARE STARTING OUT
• www.pensrus.com - for pens
• www.pens.com - recommended for their ‘superball’ pens. They are great pens and it is, by
far, the best price around. Buy 250 and get 250 free. If you like to change pen styles often,
don’t buy larger quantities. This allows people to collect your pens at repeat parties.
• www.directlyfromtheheart.com - stickers and name labels
• www.thebooster.com - for awesome stickers, post cards, books, and buttons to put some
pep in your business, miscellaneous labels, and hostess/recruiting supplies for home party
plans.
• www.current.com –gold foil labels are great to use as reorder labels.
• https://pureromance.com/apparel/index.aspx-clothing Pure Romance promotional store.
They have clothing, accessories, and promotional items with the Pure Romance logo. The
only authorized vendor to use the logo.
• Sam’s Club sells padded envelopes in bulk. This is a great way to go for mailing back orders.
This will save time and a lot of money in the long run. To mail packages, the USPS (post office) seems to be the most reasonably priced in most areas.
RECRUITING TIPS
• Do not overwhelm the potential recruit with too much information. For example, you don’t
want to go into how to fill out a warranty exchange form or how to handle a backorder. Answer
all the questions sweetly and simply, leaving out nitty-gritty details. Let them know that there
are many products we sell where they are given a discount at 50% or better. Save the full explanation of this discount for after she signs up. They are only privy to this exclusive information after they sign.
• Have fun. Board members are having as they call it a “FUN-nominal” time recruiting this
year. Some have over 20 so far, and almost exclusively with the standard kits. Have a great
time at your parties, and be sure to tell your own story.
• Create an information book. Use a 3-ring binder with your hostess program and specials on
the front and back, respectively. Inside the binder, have copies of Pure Romance newspaper
articles (check the Media Center to print out copies of past articles), your story of how you
got started, 10 most commonly asked questions and answers about being a Consultant and
some of the brag books. Pass the binder in the middle of the party, and invite people to take
a look. It’s a very non-pushy way to present the information and get a great response from it.
• Offer your help. The most important thing that any potential recruit wants to hear is that she
will not be alone. Always stress how much you are willing to help her, and write it in boldly
in colored marker on the information you send to her -- “I Will Help You!!” Do you remember
how insecure you felt about signing? Perhaps she has no one at home who is cheering her
on. A new recruit wants to know you will stand by her side!
• Realize potential recruits attend every party. At parties of $500 or more, tell the ladies how
much you made at the end of the show. Always talk about it a bit at the beginning of the
show, but do not come across as overbearing. Focus on telling them how easy it is for you to
make this kind of money in just a few hours of work, not on how much money you just made
from them.
LETTER TO NEW “GRANDDAUGHTERS”
Sample letter from Kelly Anson, Executive Advisory Board
Dear (Granddaughter),
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you and welcome you to Pure Romance. My name is (Your Name) and I’m considered your Pure Romance “Grandma” in the
business. Your sponsor (Daughter’s Name) is my “Daughter” and that makes you my granddaughter... so we’re all one big family!
This letter is not only to welcome you, but also consider it an open invitation for you to call or
email me anytime you need a little extra help or motivation... That’s what grandmothers are
for!
I also wanted to make sure you were aware of the “Forums” message board on the Pure
Romance website. This message board allows Consultants to ask questions and get them
answered by other Pure Romance “Sisters” from all over the United States. We share business-building ideas, booking and sales tips, positive experiences, as well as announce “emergency” party leads and meeting dates. I think you will find this group helpful and useful in
building/re-enforcing your new Pure Romance Business!
I’m looking forward to working with you in the future...
Warmly,
(Your Name)

RECRUITING – TICKET GAME
If you want to do a “recruiting talk” but feel uncomfortable, this game is easy to do at your
shows, and it is a great way to identify prospects. Bring 20 raffle tickets. At the end of your
presentation, before the guests order, tell them the following:
“Hey ladies, don’t you just love this little ____________(gift – gift certificate - item)?
Wouldn’t you love to take it home? Well, whoever’s ticket is drawn by __________(hostess) tonight, will take this __________ home.
How you get a ticket is to ask me questions about my business!
I will give out the 20 tickets for 20 questions, about the business.”
(If your group is shy or doesn’t know what to ask, help them out with some of these
suggestions.) “Do I have to make it easier for you and give you some suggestions?
You can ask me:”
How do you get started in the business?
How much does it cost to start?
Is that all of your inventory?
Did you have to buy it all?
Do you have to carry inventory?
Do you have meetings?
How much do you make?
How many shows do you have to do?
Are their quotas?
What do you do for Training?
How much time do you spend each week/month on the business?
Are there trips?
Do you get a car?
How many are in your down line?
Have the hostess separate the tickets as she hands them out, keeping one side for the drawing. Then mix them up and she draws a ticket for the winner. Encourage the Hostess to be a
part of the game, as she is always a potential recruit. You are now able to know who might be
interested in the business by the questions they are asking. You also are able to plant seeds
for the future when the guest is in the situation that she is interested in making additional
income alongside her family and other activities.
SELLING SQUARES
Have you ever wished you could help potential recruits get the money to buy a kit? When you
know someone will be great, try giving her a little help to save and earn money to buy the kit.
Have your recruit host a party for you. Before the party, ask her if she can sell 100 squares for
$2.00-$5.00 each; the squares will enter them for a chance to win up to $100 in free product.
Most of her family, friends, and co-workers will most likely help out by buying a square or two.
Once all 100 squares are sold, she can buy the $250 kit and possibly have money to go towards the Surefire Qualifier, depending on how much each square is sold for. Give her several
ideas of where she can go to try to sell them. If they are serious about becoming a Consultant, they will keep trying until all 100 are sold. If the squares are sold for $5.00 each and she
only sells 50 squares, give away $50 in free product and she can use the remaining amount
towards her kit. The free product would be given away at your discount. You are not going to
make money from this, but you are going to get a recruit. If the squares are sold for $2.00
each, the lucky winner will receive a gift certificate in the amount that you have collected. If 25
squares were sold, the gift certificate will be $50 and so on. Give this a try. It is working for
Board members and comes highly recommended. You will need to make modifications to the
square sheet to customize it for each recruit. Just add, “Help ____ to get her business started
by buying a square or two. “ Tell your recruit to sell as many squares as she can. This will boost her
outside orders and increase party sales. The night of the party, the winning number (square) will
be drawn. Use two pages if you need to! The winner pays only the shipping and tax.
PURCHASE A SQUARE FOR $5.00 AND YOU COULD WIN $100.00 IN PURE ROMANCE
PRODUCTS!!!
(Purchase more than one square to increase your chance.)
Do not need to be present to win.
**Write your name and phone number in each square you purchase**
ORDERING TIP
Set a goal of ordering only one to two times a month, and you will see how much more you
will profit at the end of the month. At the beginning of the month, if you have a lot of parties
coming up, place a large order. If you have a credit card for your business, you can use this
to place the order and then immediately pay it back once you hold your parties. This will help
boost your sales when you have good stock on hand, and paying the card off right away will
keep space open on your card for future orders. In the meantime, if you need only one thing,
call your sponsor or another Consultant for an even exchange of product. Placing larger, less
frequent orders will help you to save on shipping. This takes time to get to the point where
you can place only two orders a month, so don’t feel discouraged if you cannot do this right
away. With each party order the party backorders and reorder product to replace what you
sold from your stock at the party. With each order add one more item than before when reordering product for your stock. This will help to build your stock in the beginning and still let
you walk away with a profit. This is a great way to run your business. An example provided by
one Board member is how in the month of April she collected $904.00 in shipping but spent
only $120.00 to have product shipped to her. She spent $15.00 going out for back orders,
which left her with a profit of $769.00 that she made in just shipping and handling fees for one
month alone!
HOSTESS COACHING
The key to having a successful party outcome is coaching your hostess. If she follows these
steps, she will have a great turnout--thus a great party! You cannot just give the packet to her
and expect her to do what you want. She needs to understand that “she” is the person who
will ensure a great party. Her job is to get the people there--then you will take over, and they
will all have fun. When you give her a hostess packet, explain what is in it. Tell her that there
are four steps to ensuring a GREAT turnout at her party—explain each of these steps:
1. Now that she has a date--she should call and invite everyone. Tell them to write it on their
calendar and to keep the night open for a fun time. (Even if the party is not for 2-3 months-call and invite now so that people keep the date open!)
2. She should mail out the invitations two weeks before the party.
43
44
3. One or two days after the guests should have received the invitations, the hostess should
call to ensure that they got them. At this time, she can express how excited she is, how she
can’t wait for her party, and that she really wants that guest to come have fun with her.
4. VERY IMPORTANT: 1-2 days before the party, call everyone again. Remind them and get
them excited. Ifthey can’t come, ask if they would like to place an outside order.
Now.... it is up to you to follow up and ensure that these four steps happen! A few days after
booking the party, call your hostess to confirm the date, and get her excited. Remind her to
invite people now! When it is time to mail out the postcards, call and make sure she remembers to do so. During this same call, remind her to follow up the mailing with a phone call
(step 3 above.) And then, make sure you call her the day before to get a count on the number
of guests, and to remind her to call them again. Each contact you have with her, make sure
you show enthusiasm and get her excited, too! Remind her of all the “freebies” she will get if
lots of people come to her party! Remember: Your enthusiasm will rub off on the hostess, and
her enthusiasm will rub off on her guests! There are additional hostess coaching tips in your
handbook and Pure Romance Calendar/Planner.
ORGANIZATION
As you build your stock you are going to need a well organized place to keep all of it. Just
tossing it into Rubbermaid totes is not the way! It takes precious time to dig through all of it,
looking for the item your customer wants, and it makes you appear unorganized and unprofessional. You could potentially lose a customer because as you waste time digging through your
containers, they’re tired of waiting and wind up leaving before they order. If you are currently
using six Rubbermaid tubs and a toolbox with toy demos, you would probably love to know
how to lighten your load. Our Board members will tell you how you can organize your bins and
lighten your load at the same time. Here are suggestions to help you stay organized and take
orders swiftly and professionally without breaking your pocketbook!
• Get a 24 -shelf paper holder. Set up with all the papers you need for a hostess packet and
recruiting packets. It is so much easier to get the information OUT THAT DAY! Instead of telling yourself it will happen “when I get around to getting the papers together; they are all right
there.” This can be found at office stores around your area.
• If you sell the Great Head 5 packs individually, save the plastic zip lock they come in for easier storage of smaller stock items so they don’t get lost within your other stock. You can use
the bags from Magic Jelly Rings, Turbo Sleeves, Like a Virgin, Booty Eaze, Snap on Jelly Tool
Belt, Pair-a-Dice Glow and Spicy Dice, and much more. It works perfectly to keep the Basic
Instinct upright and together too! The bags are lightweight and don’t take up too much room
in your Rubbermaid totes.
• School Pencil Boxes also come in a variety of sizes and work fantastically to keep all your
jars like X~Scream (Dazzle Dust, Ex-T-Cee, Bosom Buddy etc.) together in one place for easier storage and quick grab ordering. You can fit 18 X~Scream’s in one of the Large Box style
Pencil Cases or 10 Dazzle Dust.... label the side of the box for easy identifying and grabbing
during ordering time!
• Utilize the smaller boxes that Pure Romance uses to ship products in each order. Just cut or
tear the flaps of your boxes and put the entire case of product or bottled items in your bin. As
the stock lessens, you can consolidate flavors into one box. Place them inside a large Rubbermaid tote for easy loading.
• You can find the Rubbermaid totes at any office/home supplies store as well as any discount
stores. National retailer Wal-Mart sells them in three or four different colors for about $3.74.
• Once your stock gets larger, you may want to consider alternative methods for hauling it. A
great option to Rubbermaid totes is the possibility of mobile toolboxes. Check with your local
hardware store (Lowe’s, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, etc.). There are a lot of different ones. They
have several compartments, and they have large wheels that roll really easily. They look like
a big bin but have an extending handle and big rubber wheels. On the top (outside) are two
lids that, when opened, have a compartment with several squares, great for small items like
Anal Beads, Magic Jelly Rings, Sensations key chains, Basic Instinct, etc. Inside the tool box
is a holder with a handle so you can just remove that first layer. This is good for medium size
items, and then below that layer is a big compartment with more storage space. Carry one for
toys and one for creams and lotions.
• Make sure you find bins that are right for you. Make sure you can still lift them easily because if it rains, you don’t want to roll any bins through mud and into your hostess’s home.
Also, check with several local Consultants to get different ideas as well or you will end up buying many different types of bins. We have provided pictures of sample storage bins throughout this section.
Examples shown below:
45
46
• Another alternative for storing demo products is to purchase a couple of folding/rolling crates
and drawer-stands that fit in them. The crates look like a big milk crate when opened and have
a handle that extends up (like a suitcase). The set of drawers fits right in the crate. For the
drawers, purchase silverware containers (from the dollar store) that have four vertical slots
and one horizontal slot. This holds five toys and still leaves room for a toy next to the silverware container and in front of it. Label each slot so you can do a quick inventory after each
party (each toy has its designated “holding cell”). This keeps the toys separated (No more
plastic baggies - Yeah!!).
• Great for organizing your storage bins are smaller containers that fit perfectly on top of the
boxes and inside the larger totes. You can get five or so in a pack for only a few dollars. They
are perfect for smaller items like the Like a Virgin, Sinfully Sweet, Booty Eaze, and all smaller
size jars of product.
• Set up and take down time will be quick and simple because you simply pull the smaller
totes out of the larger totes and set them on a table. The larger totes sit nicely on the floor with
the products organized inside. When you’re through with ordering, simply put the lids on the
smaller totes, drop them in the larger one, and away you go!
• Junk Drawer Organizers! They come in packs of various sizes or individually. When you
are at the store, pick out a manageable-sized tote that you can carry. Go to the organization
department and find the junk drawer organizes to see how they fit. Since the organizers come
in various sizes, you should be able to arrange them to fit, and they snap together. In a 30-qt.
Tote, you can do two rows high; just place a light piece of wood/cardboard between them. This
will allow you to keep the toys separated from each other and leave the batteries in without
them turning on by themselves. When it comes to setting up for the party, simply life off the
top row to expose the bottom layer and place the top layer on the table. That’s it. My set-up
takes under ten minutes. If you’re really motivated, you can line the trays with fabric after fitting them together for a fancier display.
ORDERING IS MUCH EASIER THIS WAY FOR SEVERAL REASONS:
• All the products are neatly organized right at your fingertips. You aren’t digging through bins
trying to remember if you have something or not.
• Your sales will increase because your customers will be able to see your product, and we all
know if they see it, they buy it!
• You won’t lose customers who are tired of waiting because you are wasting time looking for
things instead of taking orders and getting the next person in.
• They will want to book a party with you because you are professional and organized versus
appearing unorganized and flustered.
• It can only make your business better by starting off your party organized and ready for business!
STORING PRODUCT:
• Go to the dollar store and pick up several of the organza wine bottle bags. They work perfectly to store your toys in with no fuss, and best of all, they’re cheap!
• Go to Home Depot to get a tool bag that has pockets on the outside to store demo lotions.
This is great for holding any leaky bottles upright in. You can fit every single one of our items
that is a bottle or jar in this bag, plus some. You can even go to www.homedepot.com and
search for “big mouth” bag.
• Carry one tub for the products that go on your demo table, one tub for lotions and lubricants
(in that tub put four bottles of all my high-selling lotions lubricants, sprays, and creams), one
tub for toys, and two each high sellers, with four to six Superstretch and Jelly Tool Belts and
one other toy. This should fit approximately 20 to 25 products and still leave room for some
extra lotions and other products. These are the medium size Rubbermaid tubs. Now you can
have two extra tubs- one toy tub and one lotion tub, with novelties on top of the lotions. It’s
really nice when you get to the point where you do not have many backorders at all. (Example
shown below)
• If you demo a lot of toys at your shows, a great way to store your demo vibes is in a gun
case. It will hold a lot as well as keep them in position. Another great thing about this is that
you can also keep it locked so you can easily hide them. This way you can take the gun
case to the ordering room and leave it open so the ladies can see items in more detail. If ladies get in the ordering room and want to see them again, you do not have to unpack them.
Some women don’t want to show enthusiasm for the toys in front of everyone; you will see
how much those customers will appreciate this. (Picture Shown Below)
• You can use a clear shoe rack to store some of your smaller toys in the ordering room. All
you have to do is roll out the shoe rack, hang it up, and you’re done! Have each pocket labeled with the product name and price. It can take a long time to set up your ordering room,
but the less time you spend at a show, the more money you make! This cuts down on time,
and remember, if they see it, they are more prone to buy it! (See picture below.)

SENDING & RECEIVING BACK ORDERS
SENDING OUT BACKORDERS
When sending out backorders from parties, be sure to add the insurance to the package or
delivery confirmation. This insures that the package was received and provides the shipping
confirmation when dealing with a customer who states she has not received the purchased
items. Corporate Office will back you up 100% for sending out backorders, but if you DO NOT
have a United States Postal Service or UPS receipt, the Corporate Office has no choice but
to then send the backorders for you and charge full price, plus shipping. We will not automatically send the products out as soon as the customer calls; we will call you before doing so,
and you will have 48 hours to resolve this on your own. If we call you and do not hear back
from you or you are not willing to resend, that is when we will intervene. So it is important to
check your messages and email daily. Keep the Corporate Office updated on your contact
information, and promptly return all phone calls to the Corporate Office. The $4.00 you collect
for shipping and handling is to cover the shipping of backorders to your customers.
Below are different shipping methods through the Post Office, all of which provide you with
proof of mailing. You also will see that adding insurance is not expensive and can prove to be
very helpful if a package is ever lost or stolen. This way you have insurance and can recover
the cost of the products from the Post Office when remailing the products. Visiting the official
United States Post Office website at www.usps.com can provide you with further information,
and you can calculate the exact postage due for any package, purchase postage online, and
monitor delivery confirmations.
Recommended services for shipping backorders:
• Certificate of Mailing provides proof of mailing.
• Delivery confirmation provides the date and time of delivery or attempted delivery.
• Certified Mail provides a mailing receipt for the send and online access to the delivery status.
• Insured Mail provides coverage for a lost or damaged package.
RECEIVING BACKORDERS
Backordered product owed to you from the Corporate Office will be shipped with the next
order you place once the product is available. If you do not plan on placing an order and you
know that an item from your backorder list is available you can call the order line and request
that your backorders are shipped out. We will ship out your backorders, and you will not be
charged for shipping because it was covered on the original order placed, but you will be
responsible for paying the handling fee for processing and shipping your backordered items.
When calling the order line to request backorders to be shipped, you will need to state how
you would like to cover the handling fee; whether you have credits on file, would like it charged
to a credit card, or would like to pay for it COD. Please note that if you request backorders to
be shipped out, you will be responsible to pay the flat rate of the COD fee, but not the handling fee because it is already covered in the COD fee. If you are not sure what the current
handling or COD fee is, please contact Customer Service, or you also can view the shipping
scale listed on the website under the PR Library. Remember that you do have the option to
request no backorders when placing your order so you will not be charged for the product and
will just be responsible for reordering when it is available. You can keep track of Corporate and
personal backorders by visiting the My Business section on the website. This area will allow
you to view current and past backorders as well as the current list of products not available
from the Corporate Office. This Corporate Backorder list is updated everyday and will allow
you to view the list and keep track of when a product is in.
ACCEPTING CREDIT CARDS
Remember when accepting credit cards to check for a signature and CVG number on the
back of the card, and ask for ID. The CVG number is the last three numbers on the back of
the card that are not included in the account number. This is normal procedure in any retail store and should be done at every party to check for stolen cards. Calling to authorize
cards at the party ensures that the money is on hold for that sale. Also, the 5% deduction
Pure Romance charges you is a tax write-off and cannot be charged back to the customer.
Remember to fill out the slip completely with your name and Consultant ID number to help
ensure that these are placed in the proper account. You may check the My Business section on the web to see what credit you have on file. These credits will be applied to your next
order. PURE ROMANCE WILL NOT HOLD ORDERS FOR CREDIT CARDS SLIPS! Be sure
that the slips have been received and are credited to your account at the time the order is
placed. If you place an order on Monday night to be shipped out on Tuesday, and we do not
receive your slips until Tuesday, your credits will not be applied to this order, and you will have
to use another form of payment. Do not place an order that you want credit applied towards,
unless you are sure credit is on file and has been applied to your account. Contact Customer
Service for information on inputting credit cards online.
FILING TIPS
1. Fill out a party summary sheet at the end of each party. Fill out a Party Profit Sheet for
each month that you have website or phone orders come in. Keep the credit card receipts
stapled to each Party Profit Sheet. Then file each Party Profit Sheet by month in a filing cabinet or expanding folder.
2. Keep your mailing list organized and up to date. After each party, go through your order
forms and check the information of all customers that noted they would like to be on your
mailing list, adding them to your list right away. The longer you wait to do this, the more likely
you will be to forget about adding them to your list, so it’s best if this is done immediately
upon returning from a party. Once you have a mailing list started, decide on when you are
going to send out mailings. Be consistent so your customers know what to expect. Utilize the
Newsletter Template provided online to customize with information from the Market Trainings,
Monthly Newsletters, Inspire, Cue Cards and anywhere else you find helpful tips and ideas
that you can pass on to your customers. It also is sometimes good to think ahead and plan
the specials you are going to do (look in the Inspire and Current Sales section of the website
for what items will be on sale) and go based on holidays (think about Valentine’s Day, summer, Halloween, Christmas, etc).
3. File all customer order forms alphabetically (maybe by first name instead of last since
they sometimes change) in a file cabinet. If a customer places orders with you several times,
staple their order forms together. If you see a pattern - they buy X-Scream every two months
- put it on your calendar to call them in two months or create special offers such as a special
price on every 4th order of X-Scream placed with you.
4. Keep all pre-made Hostess and Rep Packets filed away so they are ready to go when you
need them. All you will need to do is insert any flyers for current special offers or Hostess
Incentives (including the monthly contest) that you offer throughout the year.
5. Keep a CIPL (Consultant Inventory Price List) running throughout the year for what you
take out of your inventory either for personal use or demo items. This will make it easier at the
end of the year. CIPL’s change throughout the year, so if there is a new one that has an item
that the one you started with doesn’t, just staple that one to it. You also can copy and save the
CIPL file onto your desktop on your computer. This file is available online, or you can have a
Customer Service Representative email the file to you. Create one master CIPL by updating
the file with any additions or changes made to the CIPL throughout the year as new products
are brought into the line.
49
50
6. Keep all business-related receipts organized. The best way to do this is with an expanding folder organized by month (or you can organize it by type of expense - advertising, paper,
postage, etc.). Keep all of your order Invoices from the company filed by month.
7. Keep a notebook in your car for mileage. Most cars are equipped with a mileage counter
for different trips that can be reset before you leave. Every time you need to drive for business
(going to Staples, Post Office, meetings, parties etc.) write down the number of miles driven.
If your car does not have a mileage counter that can be reset, then write down the mileage
before leaving. When you get back, write down the mileage. If you often combine errands, just
write down the mileage at each stop.
8. Have some way to keep track of how many items you have in stock - whether you keep a
file with a running total and you subtract after every party and add after every order or you just
have a CIPL filled out is up to you. There is also the MLM software available to Pure Romance
Consultants at a discounted price – check out the Consultant site for more information.
TAX TIME TIPS
Please note that all tips related to taxes are general suggestions and should not be used as a
substitute for professional advice. Tax laws can differ in each city and state, so please consult
a licensed tax advisor.
1. Take inventory. Be sure to add on any products owed to you by other Consultants. If you
just started your business after the first of the New Year, and you have sold anything in the
new year, add that in, also! Do not list anything that is not on the current CIPL. The best way
to take inventory is to take a current CIPL and just list the total number of each product in the
quantity box.
2. If you owe anyone any merchandise or if anyone owes you merchandise, get it straightened
out right away! It is not uncommon to run short of something every now and then and the
occasional trade is okay, but if you are trading for basics, this should alert you that you don’t
have enough inventory!
3. Be sure all your Party Profit Sheets are up to date! This is your record of your sales and is
very important to your business!
4. Be sure you have a record of your mileage as you begin each year. If you forgot to take it,
then estimate what it was on January 1. Put the mileage at the top of the order form you are
using to list your inventory.
5. Gather all your receipts and invoices for the year. If you have been filing them properly, this
should be very easy for you to collect all receipts for the year. Don’t forget the Invoice for your
kit, too. In most cases, the kit is a tax write-off considered a Cost of Business. Check with your
Tax Advisor for more details.
6. Establish a file for all of your business records. When your 1099 form comes from the
company or any other W-2’s arrive, you’ll have a place to put them. 1099’s will be mailed out
by January 31st from the Corporate Office to anyone who has done at least $5000 in Retail
Sales for that year.
7. Start looking NOW to find someone to do your taxes. The little bit of money you spend with
a good tax preparer will more than be made up in the amount of tax you save! Remember
that you will pay someone based on the amount of time it takes to do your return. If you go in
with complete records and categories totaled, it will cost far less than if you just show up with
boxes full of invoices and receipts.
8. If you are not sure of what kind of receipts to keep, save everything. If in doubt, KEEP IT!
It’s best to have something you do not need than not have something that you do need. Your
tax preparer can tell you what is and what is not deductible.
9. The basic rule of record keeping is the KISS method! Keep It Simple, Sweetie! You can
spend HOURS on record keeping — or— you can set up a simple system and keep up with it
weekly in just a few minutes! Remember, you are not making any money when you are shuffling paper or keeping records! You can do the necessary minimum, but do it regularly!
10. Finally, if this is your first time to file since you have been in business, don’t be surprised
if on paper you show a loss! Hopefully, that is what will happen! Remember...you have a lot of
expenses that you would have, whether you were in business or not, that will now be deductible! Enjoy being an independent businesswoman and take advantage of all of them!!

MISCELLANEOUS
• Change batteries on the same day each month. For example, on the 1st of the month
change your batteries. This is a great way to remember and avoid batteries dying in the
middle of your demo at your party.
• Take batteries out of your toys between shows.
• Come Clean Demo: Should be very informative. Let them know that if they are purchasing a
toy - they want it to last a while. Each toy has small pores in the material that soap and water
can dry out and cause to crack and allow bacteria to remain. What’s worse is the smallest
amount of soap left on a toy can cause urinary tract infections because even anti-bacterial
soap is not designed for vaginal use. The cleaner is only $9 and is safe on you and safe on
the toy. It kills all bacteria and germs. A $9 price tag is a lot less expensive and painful than
even one prescription for a UTI.
• When storing the Pleasure Ring, Super Stretch, Mr. Dependable, Funky Jelly, and any other
similar toys that can get sticky, baby powder works great to prevent this from happening. Dust
Me Pink works well, too. After you wash your hands, tap a small amount of baby powder into
your hands and rub them up and down your toys, and in their storage bag they go.
• When returning your toys to your demo bin, simply wipe them down with a baby wipe when
they come back to you. This keeps them clean, and it only takes a few seconds...They’re
already out....you might as well clean them after they have been passed!
• The forums on the website are very informative, and always encourage new girls to read
them. Make sure they check out how to book parties and how to recruit.
• Read the books that we sell!!! They are very informative and may answer some of your own
questions so you can then educate your customers.
SUGGESTED GAME GIFTS
• Coupon for Lovers
• Lovers Lotto
• Peter Lipstick
• Mini Nights of Passion
• Body Rocket
• Grab bag items
• Whip Key Chain
• Doodle Pads
• Dic/Tit Tax
• Any Net Item!
ROMANCE DOLLARS
Romance Dollars can be used in place of prize gifts. Print some of your own Romance Dollars
and pass them out for the recipient to use as dollar credit toward her order the night of the
show. Romance Dollars are not suggested as a replacement for gift certificates. Romance
Dollars are to be redeemed the night of the party. This way you can print up several Romance
Dollars, laminate them, and reuse at your next show.
You can print this maze and have the hostess and guests race to finish. First one to the tip wins!
MORE TIPS
• Remember to ask about any known allergies or asthma before you start the show. For
peace of mind to customers concerned about allergic reactions, it would be recommended
to do a patch test on the inner part of the elbow or on the side of the neck and see if there is
any reaction. This is the safest and easiest way of picking up an allergy on the skin. The reaction will show up within 12 hours. This way the customer can identify if a product will cause a
reaction and should be avoided. Clients’ health care providers should always be contacted if
a reaction occurs or if they are concerned for their health.
• The first thing to ask in the ordering room is if they had a great time. Most people just burst
with excitement! Work with it and ask if they would like to get their friends together just like
“the hostess” to have as much fun. Remind them they can earn free products. Don’t forget to
mention the monthly Hostess Incentive contest that they also could be entered in. This is a
great way to pump their excitement. You’ll notice how your bookings will skyrocket. It makes
you look much more confident in what you do. If they say “no,” you are in the same position
you would be if you didn’t ask. This business isn’t always about yes’s; you must prepare your
ego to take a hit. It’s part of becoming successful. If you don’t try, you’ll never know!
• Read as many books as you can to increase your knowledge about the woman’s body.

YEARLY PRODUCT LINE UPDATE
Every year the Advisory Board takes a trip to discuss improvements to be made with policies
and products. If a product has too many complaints or does not sell well for our Consultants,
the product will be voted to either stay or be discontinued. The discontinued product list is
released just weeks after the advisory board trip, and as Consultants prepare to update
their product line, the parties may slow down in some cities due to summer vacations and
an increase in outdoor activities. In an effort to continue the growth and improvement of our
product line, we also bring in new and improved products every fall. As old products are leaving and new products are coming in, this is a perfect time to run end-of-summer specials. Use
some of these ideas to increase sales and party bookings in the slower seasons.
Once the new product list is released, you can print it off of the website. Write a cover letter
explaining that new fall products are here and available. Offer a free gift if they call and book a
party for the month of________. You also can offer a sale price on the discontinued products
you still have available. Send these to all of the clients on your mailing list, including past hostesses.
“I sent these letters to my hostess from the past two years and to any clients that asked to be
on my mailing list. I sent out 150 of these, which cost me $200 for postage, ink, envelopes,
and paper. The first party I did from this promotion paid for it!” –Shelly Miller
DEMO IDEAS
Get double and even triple sales! Before the demo of your bedroom toys, make sure to talk
about the importance of Come Clean. Suggest that they spray their toy and then simply wipe
off with a cloth. Next, tell them the importance of a lubricant. Place a dime size amount in
everyone’s hands; have them rub their hands together. Now they are lubricated and ready for
the toys. This way they can get the real feel and now you just sold Come Clean, a lubricant,
and a toy all in one sale! Make sure to clean your demo toys after your show before storage.
Spray your demo bottles with a high-gloss protective spray that can be bought at craft stores.
This helps to preserve the label. Wipe with a damp cloth to remove excess gloss.
When sampling the Basic Instinct, use a medicine dropper instead of the applicator in the
bottle. This will help the perfume stay free from contamination while preserving its true scent.
ADVERTISING
The Corporate Office must approve all forms of advertisements. If you would like to set up a
booth at a trade show of any kind, contact the Marketing Department for approval or advice.
If you are simply running an ad or handing out flyers, you can have these approved by the
Customer Service Managers.
Make yourself a walking billboard for your business. Have “Ask me about Pure Romance!”
embroidered on your jacket or tote bag; this way people will approach you about it. Have advertising put on your vehicle. A magnetic sign with “Pure Romance by _____” is a great way to
advertise yourself every day. Consultants have reported booking at least two to three parties
from this form of advertisement within the first month.
A Consultant may not advertise on a website or web link under any circumstances. Pure
Romance offers personal web mail and websites for your customers to email orders, request
Consultant information, or book parties with you without going to the Corporate site.
All Consultants are automatically set up with a Pure Romance email account, but an application for the third-party website can be downloaded from the PR library. All Consultants’ email
and website addresses are your first and last name as one word. For example if your name
is Ann Smith, your email address would be [email protected] and your personal
website address would be www.annsmith.pureromance.com. More information on the website
is in the pamphlet that came with your handbook.
10 WAYS TO PROMOTE YOUR BUSINESS
1. Does your answering machine or voicemail contain Pure Romance in the message?
2. Do you carry catalogs and recruiting brochures or rep packets in your car and purse?
3. Do you share your excitement about prizes and trips regarding Pure Romance?
4. Do you always carry business cards?
5. Do you leave your business cards in doctor’s offices, restrooms, with a bank teller, grocery
clerks, servers, and anyone else you meet who may be a potential customer?
6. Do you refer to what you do as “business” or your job?
7. Do you have a Pure Romance license plate frame or signs on your car?
8. Do you carry a Pure Romance tote bag anytime other than at your shows?
9. Do you give Pure Romance products as gifts?
10. Do you wear Pure Romance logo apparel?
To get the most out of self-advertisement, you should answer “yes” to all of these questions.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE
When requesting a leave of absence, the Corporate Office needs the following information:
• Written letter stating reason for absence
• Written start and end date of absence
• Doctor’s note or legal documentation
Requests must be made to the Corporate Office before leave begins, and the policy allows for
three consecutive months. If you need longer than the three months for a leave of absence,
please re-submit the request to the Corporate Office for approval. Once you have mailed or
faxed your written request, please call the Corporate Office to verify it has been received and
to find out if it has been approved. (Please see the handbook for more details.)
