Refocus: to engage flexibility with purpose, curiosity with ambition and becoming with drive. #Leadership san gabriel, alhambra, los angeles room a, b & c JOSEPH M. AGUIRRE @executive director [email protected] Lean in and listen up. Say these words slowly. Refine. Refocus. Reimagine. Now apply these words to your desires, be they personal, academic, or professional, and decide just how you’re going to do what you say you want to do. How you’re going to rise. How you’re going to expand your life and your possibilities. Now look your desires in the eye. Don’t blink. CHRISTOPHER JOHNSON @campus involvement coordinator [email protected] CHERYL JOSE @accounting technician [email protected] Winter quarter is here and its natural time of reflection seems at odds with the world we live in today. We have Facebook friendships, we Tumblr and Instagram, and Tweet our lives in 140 characters or less. We live our lives in the instant ether of cyberspace. Luckily, nature hasn’t gone high tech and winter quarter is a natural pause for us to refine, refocus and reimagine. MIGUEL JUAN To help with that process, the talented University-Student Union staff listed below present this quarter’s calendar of events filled with many opportunities for you take on. Refine your leadership skills through any of the workshops and seminars offered or refine your understanding of the world by engaging in diverse dialogue. Refocus your energy by participating in social programs or refocus your health habits by taking fitness classes. Reimagine your college experience by challenging yourself to explore new interests, try new things, and make new connections. RHONDA MITCHELL Fall quarter is in the bag. The knowledge we acquired in our classes, and the programs and resources offered by the U-SU, helped inform our decisions, we were involved, we took a stand. Every quarter comes and goes and with it missed opportunities. Be it your first or last winter quarter at CSULA, the University-Student Union invites you to Refine, Refocus, and Reimagine your campus experience and move closer toward what you desire.
