Information transcribed from the medal index cards includes every unit or corps listed on an
individual's card. On the card this may be given in an abbreviated form, but there may be a
number of different abbreviations for the same unit. To make it easier to search, we have
expanded these abbreviations to their full form. The following list gives the abbreviation and
