The CutRite™ Bind Up tool
is used to join the two ends of
your quilt’s binding.

Instructions
Attach your binding, as you normally do, until there are
approximately 10 inches remaining with 5 inches to the left of the

Take both unsewn ends of the
binding and fold each side back
onto itself, ensuring that the folds

Press with an iron.
Binding Right side
Fold both sides of binding out.
Center folds touch each other.

Open the left binding end so
that the wrong side is face up.

Mark the lengthwise and
widthwise folds with a marking
tool such as a pencil. Repeat for
both sides of binding.

Bind Up tool so that the ‘L’ on
the tool is face up, facing you
in the upper left. Place the
intersection of the length
and width lines of the
tool over the intersection of the crease.

Repeat Step 4 for the
right binding strip. To do so,
rotate the CutRite Bind
Up tool so that the ‘R’ is
face up, facing you in the
upper right.

Line up crosses
Step 7
Align the CutRite Bind Up tool evenly
with the bottom of the cut binding
and then cut off the tip on both the
right and left binding.

Put the right sides together from the left and right binding
strips along the diagonal edge. Sew the left and the right binding
strips together using a ¼-inch seam allowance and attach to quilt.
