Documentary filmmaker Danny Hart boards a train at Grand Central Terminal, heading to upstate New
York to interview the subjects of his latest project. A chance encounter with a mysterious young woman
leads him on a journey of a very different sort, and within the blink of an eye, Hart is forced to leave his
complacent life behind for a world in which the line between fantasy and reality is blurred. As Hart tells
his strange story to police detective Martin, he finds himself being questioned as Martin tries to discover
whether Hart is the victim or the suspect in the strange affair. Q UOTES
"Deeply absorbing. Intense and a fine multi-‐layered psychological thriller!" -‐ Jeffrey Lyons/LYONS DEN RADIO “Great film noir! Deliciously suspenseful!” -‐ Roberta Burrows, TALKING MOVIES “An engaging and suspenseful thriller” -‐ WKCC's The Reel Focus “A mesmerizing odyssey. It is at turns a murder mystery, a crime drama, a psychological thriller noir, and a thought-‐provoking look into what is real and what is fantasy… compelling film noir for the 21st century.” – reellifewithjane.com “A heady, slippery and thoroughly entertaining neo-‐noir… always compelling” – Boca Magazine "After I saw Girl on the Train in the beautiful State Theatre in Traverse City, Michigan, I felt a
responsibility to get this film in theaters. It was beautiful, evocative, and spine-tingling. I thought about
who might share my passion, and monterey media came to mind. Girl on the Train needed a thoughtful
and well-tended distribution plan. I connected the dots and felt producer Rebecca Reynolds and
distributor Jere-Rae Mansfield would make a great team to get Girl on the Train on screens around the
country. I felt Mansfield was wise and seasoned with success to bring audiences to the film. Sometimes
you have to push the rock up the hill, but in this case, it moved quickly -it was a simple introduction of
two women who are confident in their experience,” says Kathleen Glynn (Bowling for Columbine,
Fahrenheit 9/11 and Capitalism: A Love Story) F ESTIVAL
