Just give your breath your complete attention for 36complete conscious breaths. Give yourself a lift by • Holding your thumbs • Holding the area just below the middle of both clavicles at the same time • Holding the area below the middle of the clavicle on one side and the opposite side back base of the ribs • Holding the upper arm with the opposite inner thigh a hand’s length above the knee helps open the SELs below the clavicle Chaplain AnaLisa Bischoff, MDIV, BCC-NACC 8 9/15/2013 Pain Relief For self and others, gently place RIGHT hand immediately below the medial ankle bone and LEFT hand immediately below the lateral ankle bone on the same side of the body. Right hand is always placed medially and left hand is always placed laterally for this purpose. Chaplain AnaLisa Bischoff, MDIV, BCC-NACC In addition to the previous pain relieving connection, this connection relieves the pain of TMJ projects: The hand opposite the side of the TMJ pain covers the affected jaw area; lay the fingertips of the other hand below the lateral (outer) ankle bone on the side opposite the TMJ project. Hold the base of the left front rib cage with your left hand and the back base of the rib cage with your right hand Chaplain AnaLisa Bischoff, MDIV, BCC-NACC Seizures Use this connection to assist in keeping the SEL on the bottom of the big toes open Left hand to left groin & right hand to crest of right hip. Then right hand to right groin & left hand to crest of left hip. Also assists with relieving headaches Acute Hold big toes tightly Chaplain AnaLisa Bischoff, MDIV, BCC-NACC 10 9/15/2013 Our body’s thermostat “knobs” are found at and just below the head of the fibula just around the “corner” created by the hamstring tendon when the knee is bent. Gently lay the fingertips onto the calf just below these “corners,” on the left to lower the body’s temperature and on the right to raise the temperature. Connect both at the same time to let your body’s wisdom balance the temperature. This is most easily done on yourself when seated. Helps relieve hot flashes The left side will also assist with relieving constipation and the right side with relieving diarrhea. Then reverse to complete flow: Left hand to right upper medial scapula & right hand to right upper thigh. 11 9/15/2013 To relieve a variety of skin projects such as acne, rashes, scars, and even serious burns Palm both Calves Manchurian Belly “Massage” Aids in relieving constipation Not actually a “massage,” this energy pattern is traced very lightly with the palm side of the fingers, continually inwards from the periphery, then outwards from the navel, for no more than 10 minutes. The pattern must follow the direction of the large intestine—up the right side, from the right side of the abdomen to the left at the base of the ribs, down the left side, and across to the base of the right side again; end the final round at bottom center. Alternatively, you may spend more time with a finger position that seems to need more attention. #1 ~ Hold palm side of left middle finger lightly with right thumb. Place rest of right fingers on back of left middle finger. Reverse for the right middle finger. Place rest of right fingers on palm side of left middle finger. Reverse for right middle finger. Place rest of right fingers on palm side of left thumb, index, and middle fingers. Reverse for the right hand. Next slip left thumb between circle of right thumb and middle finger (left thumb palm touching right middle fingernail). Reverse for the right hand. This energy flows down the center of the front of the body and up the center of the back. Harmonizing the Main Central Vertical regularly centers you and ensures that you have plenty of energy. Depending on need, some people will find this flow calming and prefer to apply it at bedtime; others may be energized by it and prefer to apply it first thing in the morning.
