THE REC HALL, which is centrally located,
houses the following:
Centrally located in the park are lighted tennis courts, a basketball
court, which is also used for pickle ball, and bocci courts.
Post Office (Mon-Sat 3-4pm)
Internet Access—WIFI
Organized play is as follows. All other times from 7am to 11pm the
courts are open play. If the court lights are not on, ask the guard in
the guard shack to do so.

Tennis foursomes follow the rules for morning court
reservations, as explained on the tennis court
bulletin board.

Activities Information Bulletin Boards—
Basketball, Pickle Ball, Bocci
The basketball court is located next to the tennis courts. It is
used also for Pickle Ball which has open play at 10am M-F.
Check out Tennis bulletin board for more information.
The Bocci courts are located across the road from the
basketball court. League sign up was in January. $5 for the
season for Monday nights includes an end of season picnic.
Sunset Bocci is on Thursdays at 6pm—open play, no
signup needed and no fee. “We’ll teach you to play.” All in

Introduce yourself to your Block Advisor or Recreation Rep and he or she will
tell you about the activities your block has planned for its residents and vacationers. In front of their houses will be a sign designating those positions.

In the Rec Hall is an activities bulletin board that gives additional information
and another bulletin board that tells about club activities and area events.
Check out the restaurant menu book to help you decide about a new place for
lunch or dinner.

The Tennis Club
Venture Out has a Tennis Club
which hosts events throughout the
season. Everyone is welcome to
play tennis. The tennis courts are
open from 7 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Signup sheets to use the tennis courts
are located on the bulletin board near
the tennis courts. The cost to join
the Tennis Club is $15.00 per person
which includes tennis drills and oneon-one tennis time with more advanced players. Anyone interested
in joining the Club should contact
Janet Bargdill on Lot 187.

Yoga
Yoga continues weekly
on Tuesdays & Fridays, 9-10 a.
m. in the pavilion. Participants
will gently work every joint and
muscle group for flexibility, mobility, strength, endurance, and
balance. The sessions include a
full body warm up, and a relaxing cool down. Yoga classes are
designed to offer options that encourage participants to practice
the exercises on their own for
better well-being.
Bring a mat, and wear
comfortable clothing that allows
free movement. Everyone is welcome. Please feel free to contact

Kathryn Zerler is a certified yoga instructor,
personal trainer, group fitness therapist, and
healthy living specialist, also certified in
CPR/AED and First Aid. During the months
she is away from VO, Kathy is employed as a
yoga instructor and personal trainer at the
Benton Harbor-St. Joseph YMCA Family
Center in southwestern Michigan where she
lives with her husband Glenn Zerler.
Come join the Venture Out
Computer Club at the Pavilion each Tuesday at 10:30 am.
We cover all facets of IT, including computers, cell
phones, tablets, both iOS and
android. We will try to answer
your questions directly or by
referring you to a knowledgable source.
We also have on the
schedule some very interesting
lecturers covering various areas in electronics. We solicit
your input to our program

Venture Out Boat Club
Did you know? You don’t
have to own a boat to join the boat
club! The Venture Out Boat Club
meets each month on the second
Tuesday November through April in
the Pavilion with a dinner before the
business meeting. It is a member of
Yachting Club of America and has
its own burgee that is available for
sale along with club gear each
month. Among its other events are
Volume 3, Issue 3
a fishing tournament and a Commodore’s Ball. Come join the Boat Club!
