How to Measure for New Pontoon Furniture
A. Please measure the inside width from rail to rail in the rear of the pontoon boat. This dimension will
allow you to determine which seating groups will fit across the back and what size arms you need.
B. If you are purchasing a rear L Group , measure the distance from the back of the boat to the side
gate. You can skip this step if you are not purchasing an L group.
C & D. To measure the front gates, measure from the front of the boat to the side gate. Next measure
from the side rail to the center gate.
Please make a note to yourself - if your pontoon fence is radius “curved” or square. This will help us
determine what type of arms or corner seats you need. Most boats are 88" to 93” wide. Don’t be too
concerned about small gaps in stern seating, over an 8’ span, 1”-2” gaps are barely noticeable.
PontoonStuff will not be responsible for inaccurate measurement. Please keep in mind that it is
very costly to ship these items back and we will not pay for their return.

Measuring Tips:
Measure the entire deck length of the pontoon boat, but do not measure the pontoons. Your boat's model number is not needed.
If the measurement that you get comes close to the high end of a cover's length, it is highly recommended that you move up
to the next size. We also recommend you moving up to the next size when there is a bimini to be covered.
We have you covered on the width, since our covers will fit 8’ or 8’6”.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION
Most older boats had the decks secured with Deck Bolts. With Deck
Screws one person can fasten the deck to the cross member from atop
the deck but you’ll need a strong 1/2 HP drill or air tools, an ordinary
household drill won’t drive them in. Saltwater boats need Stainless
deck hardware. Apply deck tape over the top of the cross channels
beneath the joints of the deck boards. This prevents water wicking up
between the joints and getting the carpet wet. Fence Risers lift the
fence off the carpet and help prevent mildew.
