She weighed 8 lbs., 2 oz. and is 21 1/2 inches long. • Congratulations to Jim & Carmen Lang on the birth of Abigail Mae. She was born May 30, 2007. She weighed 9 lbs., 4 oz. and is 19 1/2 inches long. • Our sympathies to the family of Carol Coleman Lansing, (Carol is the daughter of Rebecca Coleman.) Memorial service was Saturday, May 26th. Carol was 59 years old and died from complications of an automobile accident that she was in several years ago. • Our sympathies to Pastor Bill and Marilyn Williamson of Salem Southeast Friends Church on the recent death of Bill’s mother. She was 82 years old. • Our deepest sympathies to the family of Edith Salter Wendt, life-long member of Raisin Valley Friends and former Secretary to the Mission Board. She was 104 years old. • We wish a special “Happy Birthday” to Evangline Stanley who celebrates her 100th birthday June 17! Contact Julie at the office for details. News from Jamaica: Frank Carter writes: “The Lord has provided us with a 14 bedroom home in St. Catherine’s Parish in the village of Burke Hill. Today I went over to paint the place and discussed with the pastor the idea of having a national Friends Youth Conference this summer. They were thrilled with the idea and plans are now in progress for this dream to become reality.” Lots of help will be needed: • musicians • cooks • teachers • preachers • lots of support groups.
