The EVVYs invite you to join in the celebration of Emerson’s talent during the 30th Annual EVVY Awards, on May 14, 2011, at Emerson’s own Cutler Majestic Theater. The EVVY Awards is like no other college production in the country. Modeled after professional shows such as the Emmys and Oscars, The EVVY Awards has become the largest multi-camera, live switch event any school has to offer. This award winning show has become nationally recognized with a first place award at the National Association of College Broadcasters Awards and has received two national Telly Awards. Tickets for the 30th Annual EVVY Awards are available at EVVYawards.org or at the box offices located at both Emerson’s Paramount and Majestic Theaters. Those who are not able to attend the show in person, are encouraged to watch the live broadcast from the show at home, via a livestream at EVVYawards.org. Meet our hosts... Collin Kittredge Smith is a 21 year-old comedy writer and performer originally from Dallas, TX. A junior at Emerson,Collin has already gained experience as an intern for production companies in both New York and Los Angeles. In addition to his appointment as host, he is also Head Writer of the EVVY’s and a member of the sketch comedy troupe, Jimmy’s Traveling All-Stars. His influences include Woody Allen, Jimmy Fallon,Richard Curtis, The Lonely Island, and many more. When he’s not eating things with chopsticks, he can be found hanging with his family, watching too much television, or trading pictures of pugs wearing Halloween costumes with close friends. Hosting the EVVY’s will be the culmination of his Emerson experience and a stepping stone toward (what he hopes will be) a career as a staff writer in the television industry. He is both humbled and honored to be a part of a thirty year legacy of professionalism, industry level experience, and ridiculously good-looking hosts! Rosie Moan is a senior BFA Acting major here at Emerson. Her experience includes being on a Do It Yourself Kids show when she was 11, her mother videotaping her doing funny accents, and joining Beyonce on her world tour. She enjoys whipping her hair back and forth, fondue, and getting caught in the rain. Rosie is ecstatic and honored to be the co-host of the 30th Annual EVVY Awards! All of that experience is true, in case you are wondering.
