June 2014 Inside This Issue • July 4th Celebration • Romeos & Ladies outings • Lost and found cats • From the Board • Business Listings • Resident Reminders From the board The large ice storm cleanup has been completed, we are sure you can tell a big difference. We also have been working on getting the ponds cleaned up. Special thanks to Max and Brittany for using their Kayaks to spread the chemicals for algae, and the jeep to pull the limbs from the pond. The clubhouse, guard house and pump house are in the process of being pressure washed and painted. Be patient with the work, as it will take several weeks to complete. The new lawn care service ( Lawns Unlimited) began working this past month. Be aware that they do work from a contract, and from what the Board requests that they do. If you have suggestion submit your request to the Board in writing and we will look over them. As a homeowner, the city requires that we keep trees, shrubs and bushes, cut back from the street signs, stop signs, utility boxes and street lights. Also, if you live on a curved area in the street, please cut your shrubs down and back so that drivers and walkers are easily seen. There have been a few "close calls" in here lately. *** There have been more snake sightings lately, which is to be expected this time of the year, just be alert and watch were you step and reach. There is a no grilling rule inside the fenced area of the pool, and as we have to keep the pool gates locked, we have come up with a temporary solution. The grassy area behind the mailbox, in front of the pump house, will be used for pool grilling for a little while. We have moved the grill there, as well as a table and some chairs. We have some ideas that we will go over at the board meeting, that will be a better solution for our pool and outdoor area's. Also be aware that there is a county no glass rule inside the pool area, we can be shut down if the inspectors find any glass in or around the pool or in the trash cans within the gated area. Let's keep these areas clean and looking good for everyone. There will be homemade ice cream, lemonade and time to commiserate with your neighbors about the hot weather! We will be decorating our yards and streets. Flags supplied by the Hillcreek Homeowners Association will be placed by volunteers in every yard and along the entry. Last year we left the flags for several days and there were so many favorable comments, that we have decided to place the flags early in the week and leave them through the weekend. Please monitor the flag in your yard to insure that it is always upright.
