The Tucson Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet entertains a wide
variety of audiences with its versatile repertoire ranging from the
Baroque to Broadway and Dixieland Jazz to traditional classics. A
brass quintet is the most powerful of the chamber ensembles, and can
fill up a hall with its grand sound like an organ. In the hands of these
superb musicians, it can also sing soft and sweet, bringing you to the
edge of your seat, and get your toes tapping with jazzy tunes to boot.
The TSO Brass Quintet has built a loyal fan base with adult and youth
audiences across southern Arizona.

Draper
controls the thoughts and
actions of audience members
and predicts their actions
before they make them—and
then shows why it works!
You will be baffled and amazed
when Paul Draper, completely
blindfolded in layers of steel,
leather and duct tape, walks
among the audience while
describing personal objects
and intimate details about the
people they belong to.

Ring our the Old Year
on New Year’s Eve
December 31st at 7 pm
A true classic of American musical theater, this tale of life on the
Mississippi from the 1880’s to the 1920’s is both a poignant love story
and a powerful reminder of the bitter legacy of racism. Director
Francesca Zambello’s grand-scale production is “a triumph—a
stylish, fast-paced and colorful show that had the capacity audience
on its feet, cheering loud and long” (Chicago Classical Review).
The magnificent Jerome Kern-Oscar Hammerstein II score, which
includes such classic songs as “Ol’ Man River,” “Can’t Help Lovin’
Dat Man,” “Make Believe,” and “You Are Love,” will sound glorious.
“A shatteringly great...unforgettable
performance by bass Morris Robinson” as Joe
and “a radiant
and witty
performance by
Angela Renée
Simpson” as
Queenie.

a group of homesick
Gold Rush miners,
desperate bandits and
a girl with a pure heart
come together in one
of Puccini’s greatest
works for a production
that is full of life!
