THE HOOTERS BEGIN WORK
ON NEXT RELEASE
By Rob Nagy
On February 28 and March 1 the Hooters played to an intimate
invitation only live audience at keyboard player Rob Hyman’s recording studio in suburban Philadelphia. Friends, family, local media
and fans were treated to two nights of all the Hooters standards,
in an unplugged story tellers format, as well as songs off their
current release “Time Stand Still”. The audience was encouraged, through-out the performance, to clap and sing along when
appropriate. While many of the songs were noticeably a musical
departure from the original recordings, offering different vocal
arrangements, instrumentation and timing, they were well thought
out and impressive in their delivery. It was obvious through-out
the set that all five members of the Hooters were visibly appreciative and highly stimulated with the presence of a live studio
audience. Their one time producer Rick Chertoff manned the
mixing board for these sessions having last worked with the band
twenty years prior producing their Columbia releases, “Nervous
Night”(1985), “One Way Home” (1987) and “Zig Zag” (1989).

Lauren Hart
Lauren Hart Sings And Brings “Good Things”
To Us All - John J. Ruppert
On a breezy afternoon in Manayunk I
sat down with the amazingly talented singersongwriter Lauren Hart. I was there to interview Lauren for her wonderful new CD
‘Good Things’ and to give her a chance
to talk to us about music, life, love and all
the “Good Things” in between. This is Part
One of her story.
“I made The CD with my very good
friend Tony Reyes. We always wanted to
work together. We’ve written, played and
traveled together but were never really in
a position to make a record together. He ‘s
worked with Joss Stone, Christina Aguilera,
Beyonce and really came into his own as
a writer and producer. He had flexibility
and the time was right. We’re both true to
Philly as far as our appreciation for the art
that’s come out of here. The music, the
soul, the rock, the R&B, it was just the
right combination. We made the record in
Atlanta however it was all about getting a
Philly sound with the use of horns, a little
of the blue eyed soul of Hall and Oates
and a little seventies style R&B. These are
some of my favorite songs I’ve ever written. I wanted to make something entertaining for people to listen to from start to
finish and to lyrically start to move into a
different direction. I’m different then I was
seven years ago when I started. I’ve gone
5
Volume 30 Number 2 • March 26, 2008 to April 16, 2008 • www.OOTWEB.com
through different things and written about
them. I wanted to talk about things I think
about everyday, like politics, friendships and
the state of the world. Things everyone
can relate to and to write words that
were very simple and very clear. I wanted
to write music with no hidden messages.
You got it, it’s what it is and you heard
what you heard. At the end of the four
minutes or so you knew exactly what I
was talking about and exactly how I felt
and were ready to go to the next conversation. This was the easiest record I ever
made. I made it in two weeks, which is
lightning speed. I think when you coordinate and all your elements come together
it does happen that fast but it’s rare. It
doesn’t really happen like that all the time
but when things go right you don’t have
to second-guess yourself. You don’t have to
keep trying over and over again for that
magical thing. Hopefully in the future I can
imitate what I did. It certainly would be
a lot easier as far as the record process.
Everything was written by me. All the
instruments were played by Tony, another
drummer and myself. I did all the background vocals. It was really just the two
of us fulfilling this lifelong friendship pledge
about working together. It took almost ten
years from when we first met until now
to do this. I think that’s a long time to
know somebody and to stay close in my
business, the music business. I think that
friendship and commitment shows up on
this record big time.“
I asked if there is a favorite track. “At
different points I like different tracks. The
first track ‘Good Things’ I love because it’s
the first track I heard as a recording. It’s
the eye opener and the catalyst to start
everything. I wrote the song then Tony
and I worked it via the internet. He sent
me back an idea and said what about this
kind of a feel? I turned it on once and I
was so blown away. I listened to it about
a hundred times and was so into what
he’d done. I completely understood what
we needed to do. I like ‘Count The Stars’
because I really worked as a songwriter.
It takes a long time and a lot of studying to figure out how to do something
really simple. How to say it simply, play
it simply and capture that magical feeling.
It seems like the most obvious thing but
it’s probably the hardest thing to do. It’s
like you have to learn everything so you
can forget it and then maybe you can get
something good out of it.”
I asked about videos. “I’d like to do
videos for the first four songs because
they’re imperative. You need to use the internet and all of the avenues to promote
and share your music. There’s really no
record stores or the kind of live venues
anymore. People are used to listening to
music out of computers in a digital way,
with those resources easily available you
need to take advantage of them. We’ll be
putting videos up on my websites along
with current news, concert dates and some
rants and raves from me. I’m having fun
because I can navigate and build the site
all by myself.”
I wanted to know if she’d like to add
anything else about the CD. “I just want
people to listen to it. When I wrote it
I imagined I was playing for one person
and was trying to tell them a story. I
wanted them to get it and to immediately
look back at me and say I know what
you mean. I know what you’re feeling, I’ve
been there and I think the same things.
I’m hoping that’s what people get out of
it. I wanted people to have an immediate
reaction, a visional reaction as well as a
cerebral reaction.”
I asked about her songwriting. “I write
music first and then lyrics. I get an idea
and then I get a feeling I want to communicate and that feeling turns into chords.
Those chords turn into a rhythm and that
rhythm tells me what the melody is. Then
I start finding the story and I play it over
and over again until the story comes out.
The story can come out in one or two
tries or maybe weeks. I can’t figure out
what it is but music speaks to me. I’m
interested in film and doing music for it. I
see pictures and I hear music so when I
hear my music I see a story.”

interview in our next edition and at www.

THE SPIN DOCTORS FRONT MAN
CHRIS BARRON RELEASES DEBUT CD
By Rob Nagy
For Spin Doctors front man Chris Barron it has been a
career filled with great success, lots of surprises and an
appreciation for how blessed he is to still be performing.
It has now been almost two decades since Barron first
lead this New York based foursome from the ranks of
playing college frat parties to the cover of Rolling Stone
Magazine and beyond. The Spin Doctors became one
of the prognosticators of the early nineties “Jam band
movement” building a huge cult following that carried
them well into the remainder of the decade earning the
band multiple hit records, national television appearances and honors bestowed to a select few. As with any
artist the ever predictable music climate and window of
opportunity ran its course as the Spin Doctors popularity gradually declined. Airplay became less frequent as
did the demand for the band to perform live. While the
Spin Doctors have never really officially disbanded band
members have moved on to pursue individual projects
while doing the occassional concert date together as a
band. performing recording and working on individual
projects. Barron has endured professional and personal
struggles coming out the other side intact and better
than ever as he is about to release his solo CD debut
“Pancho and the Kid””.
It has been almost twenty years since the Spin Doctors
united to become one of rocks premiere jam bands
joining artists like Phish, Blues Traveler and Widespread
Panic. Creating a buzz on college campuses and radio
stations the Spin Doctors took their first step toward
international prominence signing with Epic Records in
1990. Their debut EP “Up For Grabs...Live” was released
the following year giving fans and converts a taste of
just how great a Spin Doctors concert was, showcasing
their marathon jam sessions that had quickly become a
concert trademark for the band. In the summer of 1991
they released their highly anticipated studio debut “Pocket Full of Kryptonite”. While the album at first did not
achieve commercial success, heavy touring cultivated a
growing allegiance of hardcore fans. Capitalizing on their
newfound fame the Spin Doctors were enlisted to be a
part of the inaugural line-up for the H.O.R.D.E festival
sharing the bill with Blues Traveler, Phish and Widespread
Panic. The bands exhaustive efforts to spread their music
finally caught the attention of the mass media gain-
ing lots of airplay on radio and video rotation on MTV.
Their first two hits “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong” and
“Two Princess” catapulted “Pocket Full of Kryptonite”
to Gold status by the fall of 1992. (Following the bands
debut on “Saturday Night Live”.) The singles “What Time
Is It”, “How Could You Want Him (When You Know You
Could Have Me?”) and “Jimmy Olsen’s Blues” continued
the bands momentum on mainstream radio and MTV
with the release of more videos and much deserved
praise. The album went onto sell over ten million copies
worldwide earning an American Music Award nomination for favorite pop/ rock album and a Grammy Award
nomination for best vocal performance. While the bands
1994 sophomore release “Turn It Upside” Down” didn’t
reach the heights of their debut, it did manage to sell a
million copies yielding back to back platinum releases
for the band. The band had caught the attention of rock
legends the Rolling Stones serving as their opening act
on the Voo Doo Lounge Tour exposing the Spin Doctors to millions of rock fans they would otherwise have
been unable to reach on their own. Subsequent releases,
1996’s “You’ve Got To Believe In Something” and 1999’s
“Here Comes The Bride”, did not reach the success the
Spin Doctors had come to expect. It was during this
time that Barron faced a potentially life altering situation
when he awoke one morning, while on tour, to find that
he could barely speak or sing. Barron was diagnosed
with paralyzed vocal chords with a fifty-fifty chance
of ever speaking with a normal voice. “It was a pivotal
moment for me”, says Barron. “It kind of forced me to
reassess myself as a human being. I had always equated
myself with my job. The person and the singer that I
am are kind of the same thing. I had some really painful
soul-searching, asking ‘Who am I if I’m not a singer?’. It
was an extremely dark time for me. I think in the end it
made me a better writer and a better person.” Barron’s
voice eventually returned sounding better than ever. He
picked up right where he had left off hitting the road and
eventually the studio with the Spin Doctors. By 2001
they had peaked commercially with band members opting to take a hiatus to pursue individual solo efforts with
the idea that they would always work together when
they felt the urge or the demand would be there. With
this in mind Barron continued his individual songwriting efforts as well as through collaborations with a few
of his contemporaries. In the fall of 2001 the original
line-up of the Spin Doctors reunited, the first time since
1994, for a benefit concert
to support the impending closing of the legendary New York City venue
Wetlands. With renewed
interest from the band and
their fans, the Spin Doctors
spent the next three years
touring culminating with the
completion of a new studio
album “Nice Talking To Me”
in 2005. The album was
received well by music critics but failed to do anything
commercially when their
label folded.
Barron has most recently completed his long
anticipated solo “Pancho
and the Kid” which is to
be released on April 8th .
A collaboration with fellow musician Jeff Cohen,
the CD Features twelve
new songs that touch on a
variety of musical influences and styles, creating a
very real and touching CD
that is hard not to listen
to over and over again. “I
would describe it as rootsy
rock and roll”, says Barron,
“Americana with a country
aftertaste, it runs the whole
gammet musically. The
thing I really like about this
record is I did it on purpose
Jeff and I co-wrote and coproduced the entire record.
We made a concsious decision that we will have the
final word on everything.
We’re not going to listen to
anyone’s input. Once it was
finished we started giving it
to people and we got such
great reaction.” Songs that
particularly standout are
“Brokenhearted Serenade”,
“Heartbreak Boulevard”,
“Can’t Kick The Habit”,
“Why Must The Show Go On”
and “Pretty As A Picture”, one
of the most beautiful songs I
have heard in long time.
While Barron is anything but
arrogant when it comes to his
music he is very much in touch
with his abilities as an artist.
“I’ve been lucky”, says Barron.
“I think I’ve always been able
to write stuff that hits a lot of
different people. When I write
a song I don’t set out to write
something catchy, the stuff that
I write just happens to touch a
lot of people and get stuck in
people’s heads.” While Barron
is incredibly proud of “Pancho
and the Kid” he has no great
expectations commercially.
“I don’t know if some major
record company is going to take
a punt on me at this stage in
my career? I seriously doubt it.
I’ve done the record company
thing and I’ve see both faces.
Right now my solo stuff is my
first priority. My goal is to keep
singing songs for rooms full
of people.” Barron is a realist
when talking about starting
over musically as a solo artist.
“If you’re willing to sit in a van
for like nine hours several days
a week”, says Barron, “And get
no sleep and you have the inner
fortitude after that to get up on
stage in front of fifteen people
and throw down a show that’s
going to blow their minds and
reach deep into your heart and
sing your god damn guts out every night you’re going to end up
with a following. I feel very lucky
to still be doing what I do.”

TOWER OF POWER to Play at the
Keswick Theatre, April 11 and 12
Tower of Power will be playing the
Keswick Theatre, 291 N. Keswick
Avenue, in Glenside, PA., on April 11
and 12 at 8 PM. Tickets are $39.50,
and the venue phone is 215-572-7650.
Its web site is http://www.keswicktheatre.com.
With 40 years of recording and touring experience behind them, Tower
of Power still garners reviews calling
them a “very contemporary sounding band.” Melding jazz, funk, rock and
soul in a way no group ever has, the
ten-piece outfit is, according to the
HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, “tighter
than a clenched fist.”
Well known in the ‘70s for tunes
such as “What is Hip?” and “You’re
Still a Young Man,” Tower of Power
toured with Sly Stone and Credence
Clearwater Revival, creating traffic
jams when they started to headline
their own shows. They performed
on records with Elton John, Smokey
Robinson, Rod Stewart, Aerosmith,
and Dionne Warwick, and influenced
a generation of musicians (including
Sting, who has told Emilio Castillo,
founder of the group, that he once
had a “Tower of Power clone band”
before he formed The Police). In the
1980s, they backed Huey Lewis and
the News for his world tours. They
continued to play their own music in
between Lewis’ gigs.
When asked to describe the band’s
music, the group members give a
variety of responses. Says Emilio, “What Tower
plays is soul music.” Former Tower saxophonist Lenny Pickett, now musical director for
the Saturday Night Live band says, “TOP is the
world’s best rhythm and blues band.” In reality,
TOP’s horn-driven, in-your-face sound is all
its own. Read more about Tower of Power at

remember thinking the whole album
left a big footprint in the march toward
something new and different in rock
& roll. I was fortunate enough to
spend a lot of time with Dez and the
gang over the next few years as they
toured incessantly with Ozzfest and on
their own. Their second album, 1999’s
‘Chamber Music,’ was not what fans
expected and was not as successful as their self-titled debut. Other
issues crept into the situation as well,
including drug problems, management
strife, and bassist Rayna Foss’s marriage
to Sevendust drummer Morgan Rose.
Her subsequent pregnancy led to her
eventual replacement with bassist
Nadja Peulen.
Unfortunately, with such a volatile
and varied mix of personalities and talent, Coal Chamber could only exist for
so long with that unbalanced chemistry.
The crucible finally blew in 2002, following the release of their final album
‘Dark Days,’ and sent all four members
in different directions. Guitarist Miguel
“Meegs” Rascon beat a long-time meth
addiction and has since emerged with
his new project “Glass Pinata.” Check
out their MySpace at myspace.com/
glasspinata1. Drummer Mikey Cox
was basically fired for heavy cocaine
use, and Rayna and Morgan have since
divorced.
Lead singer Dez Fafara has gone
on to bigger and better things, namely
his current band DevilDriver, formed
in 2003. Five years and three albums
later, DevilDriver is stronger and better than ever and so is Dez. I had the
killer opportunity to catch up with him
when DevilDriver came through Fort
Worth last month. I’ll have that full
feature interview for you next issue.
But in the meantime, I couldn’t have
been more impressed with the show!
I have been trying to see DevilDriver
live since they first started touring
together and every time they were in
town, I had something else going on
and missed them.
I finally got my chance on March 7th
and was just blown away. These guys
are between mid 30 and 40-something
and I felt like I was watching a bunch of
22 year olds just rocking their balls off.
Hard without being harsh, and loud
without being screamy, this true dark
rock band is part southern California
heat, part south Louisiana swamp, and
all American heavy metal.
To learn more, check out the DevilDriver website at www.devildriver.
com and their Myspace at myspace.
com/devildriver. They just played
Allentown on March 25th but will be
touring all year so watch for them to
hit Philly this summer or fall.
OFF THE BEAT
I’m not remotely a country music fan
but I do like certain songs and artists,
especially the older, classic stuff. Two
good (I refuse to say old) Jersey friends
of mine named John Buday and Tom
Stewart play the stuff I like. Tequila Rose
can only be described as a classic country rock band, and man, they do it right.
John sings and plays guitar and Tom is the
drummer. Both have old-school hard
rock backgrounds, which form a solid
foundation for the Tequila Rose sound.
ON THE STREET
The band is squared off with country
I’m a HUGE and very long-time
crooner Rick Newport on lead vocals/
AC/DC fan. Mick Davis from Horizon
Press Co. turned me on to Aussie-born guitar, and Gary Holly on bass/vocals.
Their versatility shows in their extenAC/DC protégés, Airbourne and his

recommendations are always solid. I
dig this band and they’re just what rock from Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams,

RUSH DELIVERY
Hello…hello again! I hope everybody
had a happy resurrection celebration,
otherwise known as Easter. I have a
question, though. How did Jesus returning from the dead become a commercialized, basket hunting, candy-hawking
holiday anyway? Since when do eggs
come from rabbits??? Just a thought.
Ok, enough thinking. Now it’s time for
the report.

BON JOVI ROCKS PHILLY ON JON’S BIRTHDAY!!!
Photo and Review by Michael Davis
- Horizon Press Company
Bon Jovi played a sold out concert at
the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia,
PA on 3/2/08 !!! Actually they played 2
back-to-back, sold out concerts at the
Wachovia Center, the second night was
3/3/08. But the concert on 3/2/08 was
a rather auspicious occasion, as it was
Jon Bon Jovi’s 46th birthday! The band is
on tour in support of their latest album,
“Lost Highway”. The “Lost Highway Tour”
started on 12/9/07 in Winnipeg, Manitoba
at the MTS Centre. The full tour has
58 concerts in 13 countries. First there
was a 6 concert run in Canada. Then 30
dates in the US, starting on 2/18/08 at
the Quest Center in Omaha, NE, ending
on 5/1/08 at Phillips Arena in Atlanta, GA.
The tour finishes with 22 dates throughout Europe in Germany, Portugal, Spain,
Austria, Ireland, Holland, Belgium, Finland,
Norway, Denmark and 7 concerts in the
United Kingdom, ending on 6/28/08 at
Twickenham Stadium in London.
The concert was nothing short of
killer! They spared no expense on this
tour. The stage had giant vertical screens
that hung like venetian blinds. The floor
lit up and was engineered in a way that
allowed Jon and Richie to go in back of
Tico and his drum kit and entertain the
fans with seats behind the stage, which
I’m sure was very much appreciated by
people with those tickets, as they probably expected to only see the back of
everybody’s heads and there were more
lights than I’ve seen from any previous
Bon Jovi tour. The concert started off
with their first single, which bears the
same name from the new album, “Lost
Highway” and continued with one fan
favorite after another. “You Give Love A
Bad Name”, “Raise Your Hands”, “Runaway”, “Blaze Of Glory”, “Bad Medicine”,
“It’s My Life”, “Who Says You Can’t Go
Home”, “Have A Nice Day” and “Livin’
On A Prayer”, just to name a few. They
played three encores, one of which was
“Wanted Dead Or Alive” and everyone
sang along with Jon and the band, word
for word.
Speaking of sing-alongs, as it was Jon’s
birthday, Daughtry, who was recently on
American Idol and now on tour with
Bon Jovi opening the concerts in the US,
led the crowd in yelling, “Happy Birthday
Jon”! Daughtry’s performance was
awesome as well and only furthered
to ensure the crowd really got their
money’s worth!
Hard to believe that a little band
from Sayreville, NJ formed in 1983
could have the longevity and success
of Bon Jovi, but that is exactly what
has happened! With worldwide sales
of more than 120 million albums sold
and the ability to sell out stadium
concerts just about anywhere, Bon
Jovi is one of the most successful
rock bands of all time. Still going
strong after more than 25 years and
with a 10th studio album, Jon Bon
Jovi, Richie Sambora, David Bryan and
Tico Torres haven’t slowed down a bit and
their last few albums have been among
their best.
Throughout their career, the band has
released ten studio albums, of which nine
have gone platinum or multi-platinum. In
addition, the band has charted 19 singles
to the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100,
four of which reached #1 (“You Give Love
a Bad Name”, “Livin’ on a Prayer”, “Bad
Medicine”, and “I’ll Be There for You”). The
band also holds the record for the most
weeks for a hard rock album at #1 on the
Billboard 200 with “Slippery When Wet”,
as well as the most Top 10 singles from
a hard rock album, with “New Jersey”,
which charted five such singles, “Bad
Medicine”, I’ll Be There For You”, Lay Your
Hands On Me”, Born To Be My Baby” and
“Living In Sin”. In 2007, the band won a
Grammy for Best Country Collaboration
for “Who Says You Can’t Go Home” with
Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland and also
became the first rock band to reach #1
on the Hot Country Songs chart with
the same song. “Who Says You Can’t
Go Home” also received a CMT Music
Award for Best Collaborative Video and
a People’s Choice Award for Best Rock
Song. The band has also received multiple
Grammy nominations for music from
the albums “Crush”, “Bounce” and “Lost
Highway”. Not to mention more awards
from VH1, MTV, American Music Awards,
BRIT Awards and World Music Awards
than you can shake a stick at. Bon Jovi is
at the top of their game & I highly suggest
you see a concert on their current tour!
The music aside, Bon Jovi also has taken
a vested interest in helping Habitat for
Humanity building homes for those in
need in Philadelphia. The band has many
other charitable endeavors as well, like
David Bryan’s work with the Only Make
Believe foundation, for which David received the James Hammerstein Award for
his outstanding dedication to children in
need at a star-studded event held at the
Hudson Theatre in New York City. Additionally, Jon, who is Co-Majority Owner
of the Philadelphia Soul (Philly’s indoor
arena football team) along with designer
Kenneth Cole, have joined forces to raise
money and awareness to break the cycle
of homelessness.

Astrology
By Psychic Perry B.
Aries (March 21-April 19) You might be getting too involved in details,
and not seeing the full picture. Let your mind relax and try to see things
in its entirety. New direction could confuse you and send you off in the
wrong path. Regather your thoughts and start over.
Taurus (April 20-May 20) The time has come to focus on what you
want, and move in that direction. Others will want to make demands on
you but stand fast. Get the complete story before you react. Someone
is holding back, seek them out.
Gemini (May 21-June 20) Ignoring your problems will not make them
go away it only delays the results. Face them head on and you will see
better results. They may seem overwhelming now, but deal with them
one at a time and you will see there is light at the end of the tunnel and
it is not a train.
Cancer (June 21-July 22) Others are taking advantage of your co-dependent nature. Look beyond the situation and see if you can see a solution
to your involvement. Try not to live your life through the lives of others.
I know it is hard little crab but sometimes you just have to let go.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22) Just keep in mind that there is nothing that can
not be resolved. The problem may seem mountainous right now but you
will see that by seeking the answers to hard questions will bring you the
answers. Try to think outside the box there are times that you have to
take the road less traveled.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) Remembering that family comes first you might
have to deal with friends differently. Right now family is in need of you.
Staying close to home will resolve most of the problems. A trip might
have to be cancelled. Do not be disappointed you will be doing the right
thing.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) A relationship might be in jeopardy, but that is
because you have not made your needs clear. Make it understood what
you want and you might be surprised. You have skirted the issue long
enough. Come out with it and let the chips fall where they may.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) The time has come to reign in your expenses
and make a better budget. The realization of what you are spending
against what is coming in, is out of balance. Keeping up with the Jones
looks good on the outside but the piper will eventually have to be paid.
Invest in a good pair of scissors they will come in handy for cutting up
some credit cards.
Sagittarius (Nov.22-Dec. 21) A transition period is coming your way,
and will bring you a better understanding of who you are, and where you
are going. Spring/Summer will be your time to shine. Take advantage of
the good vibrations that will be surrounding you and glow in the knowledge that you will be on top of things.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan 19) Knowing when enough is enough is a talent
you must acquire. For some reason you keep beating a dead horse. If a
relationship is not going where you want it to go then the time has come
to rethink your position. Not everyone can be fixed. You tend to take
on too much of other peoples problems, and that only adds to your own.
Aquarius (Jan.20-Feb 18) Knowing what you want is a good start, and
will lead you in the right direction. Just be sure that you really want what
you are going after. What is looking good now may not be looking so
good later on. Try to think things through before reacting and making the
wrong decision.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) You have a tendency to act impulsively and
that is not a good trait. Think things out, and look before you leap.
Sometimes it is better to let things go, and not get involved. You seem
to take everything personally, and that will only cause you pain. Backing
down is not always the thing to do, but in some cases it is the only thing
to do.

WALKING EAGLE
SENATOR HILLARY CLINTON WAS
INVITED TO ADDRESS A MAJOR
GATHERING OF THE AMERICAN
INDIAN NATION TWO WEEKS AGO
IN UPSTATE NEW YORK.
SHE SPOKE FOR ALMOST AN
HOUR ON HER FUTURE PLANS
FOR INCREASING EVERY NATIVE
AMERICAN’S PRESENT STANDARD
OF LIVING, SHOULD SHE ONE DAY
BECOME
THE FIRST FEMALE PRESIDENT. SHE
REFERRED TO HER CAREER AS A NEW
YORK SENATOR, HOW SHE HAD
SIGNED ‘YES’ FOR EVERY INDIAN ISSUE THAT CAME TO HER DESK FOR
APPROVAL. ALTHOUGH THE SENATOR WAS VAGUE ON THE DETAILS
OF HER PLAN, SHE SEEMED MOST
ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT HER FUTURE
IDEAS FOR HELPING HER ‘RED SISTERS AND BROTHERS’.
AT THE CONCLUSION OF HER
SPEECH, THE TRIBES PRESENTED
THE SENATOR WITH A PLAQUE
INSCRIBED WITH HER NEW INDIAN NAME - WALKING EAGLE. THE
PROUD
SENATOR THEN DEPARTED IN HER
MOTORCADE, WAVING TO THE
CROWDS.
CLAIMS TO HAVE NO LESS THAN 10
LADIES CHASING HIM DOWN AT
ANY GIVEN TIME, THUS, TEN ON THE
HOOK. GET IT?
OK, SO ONE NIGHT OUT AT MAGGIES WATERFRONT , MY MAN TEN
ON THE HOOK SOMEHOW MANAGES TO PICK UP THIS BLONDE AND
GET HER BACK TO HIS PLACE. ONCE
THERE, HE TAKES OFF HIS SHIRT AND
THIS BLONDE SAYS,
“WOW ... WHAT A GREAT CHEST YOU
HAVE!”
HE TELLS HER,”THAT’S 100LBS OF
PURE DYNAMITE BABY.”
HE THEN TAKES OFF HIS PANTS AND
THE BLONDE SAYS, “WHAT MASSIVE
CALVES YOU HAVE!”
MY MAN TEN TELLS HER, “ THAT’S ANA NEWS REPORTER LATER INQUIRED OTHER 100LBS OF DYNAMITE BABY.”
TO THE GROUP OF CHIEFS OF HOW
HE THEN REMOVES HIS UNDERWEAR,
THEY COME TO SELECT THE NEW
NAME GIVEN TO THE SENATOR. THEY AND THE BLONDE GOES RUNNING
EXPLAINED THAT WALKING EAGLE IS OUT OF HIS HOUSE SCREAMING IN
THE NAME GIVEN TO A BIRD SO FULL FEAR !!
OF SHIT IT CAN NO LONGER FLY.
TEN ON THE HOOK QUICKLY PUTS
HIS CLOTHES BACK ON AND CHASGARY FROM SWEENEYS
ES AFTER HER. WHEN HE CATCHES
WHEN GARY’S LADYFRIEND CAME
UP TO HER, HE ASKS HER “ WHY DID
HOME SUNDAY AFTERNOON, SHE
YOU RUN OFF LIKE THAT?”
FOUND THE KITCHEN AND
LIVING ROOM A MESS, THE LAUNDRY
STILL IN A PILE BY THE WASHER, AND THE BLONDE REPLIES “I WAS AFRAID
TO BE AROUND ALL OF THAT DYNAGARY ON THE COUCH HAVING
DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BUT MITE AFTER I SAW HOW SHORT THE
DRINK BEER AND WATCH BASEBALL FUSE WAS !”
ALL DAY. SHE FREAKED OUT, AND
SHE YELLED, “YOU’D BETTER WATCH PUSH PLEASE - MIKEY V AND
BARB
YOURSELF, MISTER, OR YOU’RE GOING TO MAKE ME DO SOMETHING I
MIKEY V AND HIS WIFE BARB WERE
DON’T WANT TO DO.”
“WOW,” SAID GARY, “I CAN’T BELIEVE AWAKENED AT 3:00 AM BY A LOUD
POUNDING ON THEIR FRONT
I’M GOING TO GET A BLOW JOB
DOOR. MIKEY GETS UP AND GOES
OUT OF THIS.”
TO THE DOOR, AND WHEN HE
OPENS IT UP, HE FINDS A DRUNKEN
TEN ON THE HOOK
STRANGER, STANDING IN THE RAIN,
