The story so far...
Introduction
The iconic Dymag brand has been synonymous with high performance motorcycle racing wheels for 4 dec-­‐
ades.
Dymag technology has evolved maintaining a leading posi on, star ng with Cast Magnesium wheels, through Forged Magnesium and into the state-of-theart Carbon Fibre wheels for high performance cars and motorcycles. Many Formula 1, Indy Car, Rally/RAID, GP Moto, Superbikes, Isle of Man TT champions and race winners have used Dymags, as well as many produc on Supercar manufacturers. Dymag is a globally recognised brand for perfor-­‐
mance, innova on, and quality.
The Story So Far
Started in the early 1970s, Dymag quickly moved to the technology pinnacle inven ng the world’s first 3-spoke Magnesium motorcycle racing wheels. It was on these very motorcycle wheels that the legendary Eddie Lawson won the AMA Superbike Championship on a Kawasaki KZ1000-S1 in 1981 and 1982, and went on to win the 1984 World Motorcycle GP Championship on a Yamaha YZR500.
Building on their successes, Dymag expanded into manufacturing Forged Magnesium wheels, Forged Aluminium wheels and finally Lightweight Carbon Fibre wheels with an equally enthusias c response from bike owners around the world.

Nigel Mansell is the most successful Bri sh F1 driver of all me, he also won the CART Indy car world series in 1993 being the first person to ever achieve this in their debut season, he did this on Dymag die cast magnesium wheels. (picture above of Mansell’s 1994 Newman Haas Lola Cosworth)
Dymag has a proud history in Indy car racing. Arie Luyendyk (pictured) broke the average speed Indy car record of 185.981 mph in 1990 on Dymag wheels and won the Indianapolis 500. The record s ll stands to this day.
Aston Mar n AMR1 (1989)
Max Bostrom (Dymag Racing UK Ltd’s founder and former MD) was lead designer on the AMR1 and along with help from Mike Wilson (Dymag Designer) not only designed the carbon fibre wheels but also parts of the suspension, bodywork, and chassis for the former C1 racer and Le mans 24 hour car.
The AMR1 s ll appears today at historic and classic racing car events and showcases.

Eddie Lawson
4 mes Moto GP champion and motorcycle hall of fame inductee
Eddie Lawson rode on Dymag Magnesium wheels both in his back to back win in the AMA championship 1981 and 82 on the Kawasaki KZ1000-S1 , and when he transi oned into World Moto GP series in 1983 for Yamaha.
Eddie went on to win the Moto GP in 1984 and won three more tles while riding on Dymag wheels.
Barry Sheene MBE
Barry Sheene won the World Championship in 1976 and 1977 with team Suzuki riding on Dymag magnesium wheels, and is the only rider to have won both 50cc and 500cc Grand Prix’s Sheene is o en remembered for his historic fight with Kenny Rodgers in the 1979 500cc season at Silverstone and many recall this as one of the best races in the motorsports history.
