We hope you will find the time to view and enjoy the pages that follow. We have curated
a selection of classic and contemporary works of art exploring water, the element of
life, as well as the variety and beauty of life around it. Water has fascinated artists since
the beginning of time. In its nature, fluid, translucent and ever-changing, lays an artistic
challenge. Only the gifted can capture its characteristics, and the incredible diversity of
ways in which it affects our senses. In some instances, the key was the tranquility they
found when contemplating reflections on its surface; sometimes, it was the sheer beauty
of diffused sunlight as it traveled through fog and mist. Other artists find beauty in
life around water, the colorful rhythms of a sunny day at the beach, the hopeful and
industrious bustle of a busy waterway, the quiet solitude of an old fisherman out in the
sea. We invite you to take a little bit of time to look, to see and to contemplate. We are
sure you will thus find a work of art that will inspire you in your pursuit of beauty.
