“A Few to Preserve the Best” PRESERVATION - RESTORATION - ENJOYMENT - DEDICATION - EDUCATION From the President June 1, 2014 Hi Ho Mustangers, Congratulations on a great car show!!!!!!! I wish to thank all the members that helped out at the show. There were over 50 members that took the time to work a shift or two at the show, and that is what is needed to pull off a show with 270 cars!!!!!! We did get a surprise visit from the very first Shelby GT-350 built. The owner of the car was at Elkhart Lake, heard of our show, and wanted to stop. I could not believe it when they asked if they could take it off the trailer and show it. I really thought it was a joke!!!!! All I can say now is WOW!!!!!! We could not have had a great show without the help of all the sponsors, and number one is Ewald-Venus Ford. THANKS!!!!!!!! We have a few things coming up this month like on June 15th the Fox Valley Show. I am planning to go so if anyone wants to go as a group contact me for times. On the 21st of June we are having Kitty's Mystery Run. The destination is a mystery but I know it will be a lot of fun. For details see the newsletter calendar. The over road trip set for the 28th-29th has been canceled. After our June 30th club meeting, Karen and Glenn Furst are planning a PowerPoint on their trip to Charlotte for the 50th. Coming up in July and August we are looking for some help. The Soerens Show is on July 20th and they need help parking. Russ always helps out at our show and we need to help them. If you can, please contact me and let us all keep this great Ford show going. For August 16th we are in need of a place to hold the club picnic. This is something Sue and I brought back to the club after a few years of missing the event. Sue and I can no longer hold it at our home, and I do not want to move backwards on this event. We need to keep this going. Well that is all for know, more next month. Yours in Stangdom, Tom Visit our updated website thanks to Wisnet and Dick Doria at www.wemustangers.com P.S.
